Soifon also used her Shikai along with Shunko...Her Shikai is almost the exact opposite of Komamura's, but their Bankais are quite similar. It's kind of poetic...ok let's look at all the "power-ups" Soifon has:
-Shikai / Bankai
-Shunko
-Hakuda
-Being a Reigai (more powerful than original)
So I think Komamura did pretty well in this battle.

Of course Komamora did well. The guy can absorb damage like NO ONES BUSINESS. He had his chest shredded by a level 90 Hado and got back up abs refused treatment and stumbled back to his Barack’s. And Soi Fon isn’t a very skilled captain as a whole. So little weight behind those blows even if she went Bankai the whole fight In sure she’d actually lose. Hard.

Wow, looking back, the Regai arc had some great animation and fluidity to it. Studio Pierrot always do great in colors, effects, and overall character design. Now, storywriting is a whole different thing..

Sajin is the most underrated captain. He had terrible matchups, first was freaking kenpachi then the next was his Best friend tosen which due to there past he couldnt bring himself to kill tousen(he would have won that fight imo if he didnt have any inner conflict about the fight).

I still stand by my opinion that Bleach has some of the better filler in shonen sure a lot of it isn't necessary but the people who did write and animate it were putting a legitimate effort without completely screwing over the actual in cannon stuff. Cough Naruto Cough. Plus we did get pretty creative stuff out of it the Regai idea was actually really clever. The fact that this guy went to all this trouble to make these clones and even make them superior to the originals. Soifon is often shown to be one of the weaker captains at least when you just compare raw physical might. A weakness her Regai doesn't have
I agree, Bleach fillers were so good I didn’t even noticed the Bounds was one. However its problem started when they put fillers in the middle of great battles. Something Naruto did as well but not as long as Bleach’s. I’d really love a continuation of Bleach anyway

I'm pretty sure if the Bount Arc wasn't a filler or if that wasn't that long people would have liked it so much. Also the filler arcs are good because they're actually Kubo's ideas which he couldn't incorporate into the manga cuz he was pushed. And Zanpakuto arc is canon

For a fight against Komamura sure kenpachi, and Komamura would probably be draw, but damn they would have a really good fight. Remember Komamura is that fighter/tank in their group.
For a fight against soifon her bankai, is already enough to knock him out in a short run, but if he prepared for it, soifon would deffinetley loos.
I'm not a hater of kenpachi, but I don't like the ideas that saying these captains are weak. They're all strong, it's not like they became captains because they're like one of those average liutenants that they have.

Strength can be built on how fast the it will be too.
To be fair, that's the writer's problem. They realised they made an over powered weapon so they limited soi fon by making her never take an opportunity to kill so that the fights last longer. E.g. in this fight, soi fon would have easily won by simply stinging him another time when she stung him on the shoulder - she had plenty of time.

For soifon to be so quick most of her moves are blocked in this fight, with that being said she is still one of my favourite captains and this was my favorite fight in this season of bleach .

Did anyone notice it seemed like the hakuda w/ kido technique ("shunko" by what yoruichi said) when soifon releases bankai! Its like it had enveloped her body. Was bankai just boosted with kido!!!🫢🫢🤩🤩 OMFG !!
I love when he uses Tenken to get her off his back, and when he makes that downward thrust. Such great and ingenious uses of his shikai.
Though I do think her Bankai would have killed him. Even a greatly weakened version was able to threaten Barragon, arguably the tankiest of all tanks in the series

How is Barragan the tankiest of all tanks in the series? Lmao, he only "tanked", if we can call it like that an explosion from a reasonable distance from him. If anyting, Komamura has better tanking feats.
@@roleoahotondji54 his ability allows him to erode anything and simultaneously slow down anything that comes near him to an infinitesimal degree. His hax makes him damn near impossible to touch, thereby making him a tank. Add to that his speed and power level, and the fact his ability is largely passive, and yeah, he's one of the nastiest tanks in the series.
What tank feats does Komamura have that surpass Barragan? You could say Dangai Jo Komamura is a better tank due to being immortal, as well as Pernida (I had forgotten about the likes of Pernida when making the comment) but Komamura's most impressive tank is not getting crushed by a failed Kido from Aizen. A kido that was astronomically weaker than a casual sword swing from Aizen.
@@corruptangel6793 being impossible to touch is absolutely not the same thing as being a tank. Being a tank is actually taking hits but taking few or no damages as a result. All the thigs you mentioned have nothing to do with tanking.
Komamura took an unspelled hado 90 from Aizen and was able to stand up a few moment later. He tanked Tousen hits and even his energy based attack (straight to his chess) and was still able to fight Aizen later. No captains has shown more tanking feats than him, except maybe Kenpachi.

Barragan has actually no tanking feat, except the one I mentioned. Don't know why you can even argue he is one the tankiest in the series, when we literally saw him only tanking one hit (Soifon bomb).
@@roleoahotondji54 being a tank means you can withstand hits. Regardless of how you do it. Hax or armor or sheer tenacity doesn't matter. As long as you can take things head on, you are tanking those things.
Shikai Komamura took Aizen's black coffin spell, which not only didn't have a chant, but Aizen himself said it was a failed cast with less than 1/3rd of its actual power. The damage Komamura received was superficial. He simply got coveted in lacerations.
In Fake Karakura, Aizen faced Komamura's Bankai and, with a casual swing of his sword, cut off his Bankai's arm and left a gash from shoulder to navel. So, how exactly did I make it up?
Yamamoto stood there and took a barrage of Rez Wonderwiese's punches head on. He took Chojiro's stolen Bankai head-on. And the (albeit unfocused) power of his own Shikai head on.
Shunsui took on several direct hits from Stark and was able to keep moving and fighting after being turned into swiss-cheese by Lille.
Love and Rose tanked multiple hits from Stark.
Toshiro suffered horrific wounds and kept fighting.
Aizen tanked Yamamoto's hado 96, and immediately thereafter, a Vizard enhanced Bankai Getsuga Tenshou from Ichigo. Not to mention the negation of Soi-Fon's Shikai and blocking Komamura and Ichigo's Bankai with a bare hand.

To say no Captain has shown more tanking feats is just blatantly false.
Yeah, and tanking Soi-Fon's bankai (twice, the second time when being forced to take the totality of it at point blank with no time to react) is a huge deal. Combined with his power level and hax, there are very few people who could touch him. That is why I said he's one of the nastiest tanks. The way he bullied Soi-Fon and the knowledge of how his power works is all I need.

Why were the fights in this filler so good
I think coz the studios have scripted this fight on their own instead of recreating manga fights. As filler arcs are not a part of manga and are made by the studios themselves, they added their touch to this battle
@@slayerbros9688 well that’s partially wrong actually it was stated that at the very least a LOT of the filler arcs in Bleach were Kubo’s ideas that he never got round to incorporating into the main storyline.

Keep in mind, Komamura did hold his own very well. He only started straight up losing their fistfight when she busted out the shunko, from what I can gather. Unfortunately, I'm still looking for the actual fight, so my judgements are, admittedly, imperfect.
I mean of course he's gonna hold off his own he's much stronger and powerful than Soi Fon even her regai lol

Wtf. Regeneration have NOTHING to do with cancel Soifon shikai, just look at the Fracion killed by Soifon, it was instakill. Aizen canceled it because he had much more reiatsu than Soifon and on Bleachverse, if you have a lot more of it you can reject someone powers.
If you look closely at her you will notice she has her sword sheathed at that point.
Donquixote Doflamingo lol uses wiki to justify the validity of his claims... besides its a proven fact that ultra high speed regeneration cancels it out, extremely high spiritual pressure just happens to be another way, theres never simply just one way of canceling a power

His Shikai is the ghostly presence of the Giant, but it's really interesting how he can cover himself at many different angles with the Ethereal Arm of the Giant.

He fared better against Kenpachi than Tosen did, who lost despite Kenpachi only being able to sense touch. Aizen beat every captain just as fast, so its not that sad of a loss. Tousen's raw power was insane, so I can understand him losing. However, remember that he had his entire chest caved in during that fight and showed almost no signs of it just a bit later when he attacked Aizen. Sounds pretty badass to me.
