Finally. It was always so bizzare that the one of the best anti tank Air launched Missile, couldnt one tap tanks. Mavericks are absolutely massive, so seeing one being stopped by a Kontakt 1 was such a meme
Actually the Maverick was fine until Gaijin decided that air launched missiles shouldn't overpressure for some reason, which meant that the 51 kg warhead of the AGM-65 meant nothing when it produced no fragmentation or overpressure, just a HEAT jet.
@@PineCone227_ it was always hilarious that a 51kg HEAT jet somehow doesnt absolutely shatter the armour or overpressure the crew. but a 50-25kg bomb dropped from biplanes would send the tanks turret to space.

Yesterday 3 direct hits with HF114 to a pantsir, no damage, next match, 2 direct hits and nothing, only a mirror.
Did they truly increased the damage?

There are plenty of possible SPAA for russian tech tree ;)
Buk, Osa, C-300 (the one modification with a radar and missiles on one unit), Cube, Luchnik, Sosna and also something that i, maybe, forgot.
Idk which one can be "better than pantsir" and in what variable. Buk, Cube and C-300 has far greater range of work but they also can't work against targets that are in 1, 2 or 3 km. Luchnik and Osa are strela alternatives with different rockets, Sosna is a short-range overpowered strela that can work both against air and land.
Wont realy matter for helis they are always in range for any SPAA, if the heli pilot is good enough no SPAA will reach it

there quite literally isnt a better SPAA than the pantsir. Nato simply doesnt have any equivalent SPAA as they rely more on immobile SAM sites with better AA capabilities but would be impossible to add to War Thunder

I am really curious, have you even played with Mavericks and Hellfires? You wouldn't be saying this if you actually did. They were horrible to use, only getting Hit marks and not killing anything.
A welcome (and historically accurate) buff for the Hellfires. Not being able to kill Russian MBTs with a Hellfire straight to the side, all while destroying the entire ammorack was incredibly frustrating.
As for the Mavericks, they were on a whole different level of ridiculous ...

TBH all heli AGMS suck postpen-wise. IN fact, I find hellfires having the best post pen for quite while now. Vikhrs are even more garbage after all the nerfs and if you play top tier you notice ka-52 are rare nowadays. At least with hellfire, you can fire multiple at once.

@@Jacksonflax the hellfire has a warhead of about 9kg, it's 3 times more than, for example, a konkur.
As you know, blast radious is not linear, so Helfire should do about 1.5 times the damage of a konkur.

For what it's worth, I played a game a couple weeks ago where a teammate (Z-11W) and I (Ka-50) fired no less than 10 ATGMs between us (I checked in replay) into a Strv-122b and couldn't manage to kill him before the game ended.
I rarely ever get one hit kills with Vikhrs on MBTs. On light vehicles, however, it will reliably one hit kill.

I remember in top tier SB battles. I had a face off (literally) with a T90M and since my ammo was destroyed (i was with the M1A1) my last round destroyed his cannon breach and the commander.
However i tracked him with my 12.7's and the guy tanked 3 hellfire missiles on its side turret.
Good to see they're finally fixing them.
Especially for AJ37 and AJS37 that for some reason were forgotten and didn't get their br lowered.
I only hope that they will fix 9M120 Ataka as well.
Had an extremely bizarre battle with Sweden mi-28, and still can't understand was it a bug or not.
Bt-7 and BTR-152 Took 3 ATGMs frontally and survived with ease. Shilka 2, Leopard 2, all survived.
Only t-72 was Oneshot cause autoloader, you know.
In the next battle something similar, but i also hit Ka-50 twice.
ZERO Damage, didn't even get assist.
I haven't played it for some time but I've never seen such a bad damage with any other guided munition, hell even mavericks and Hellfires damaged consistently.
Hell, Ataka's were Annihilating helis, rightfully so, and now....Gayjin, what the hell?
Вроде как, пару месяцев назад, у кумулятивных снарядов и ракет отключили урон давлением.
Раньше Т-55АМ (донатный) с помощью своих ПТУРов мог спокойно избыточным давлением уничтожать 2A4 и M1A1 стреляя им буквально под башню.
Недавно данную механику "отключили" и все виды ракет перестали наносить урон давлением. Чесно говоря, такого лютого кринжа, когда Тайп 90 выдерживает 4 атаки в крышу, а после еще 2-3 пуска с 64D от моего соседа - такого еще не встречал.
You need to hit the turret's cheeks ERA with the DEV ATGMS. In the DEV comparison, you're only hitting the UFP.

spikes are only 150ish mm wide, they did not see the buff, only the 5 missiles listed in the video got buffed

@@molstad182 yeye i meant that they should do something for PARS and SPIKES as well. It takes more than 4 of these missiles to kill a Pantsir or an ITO. (Considering they probably shot at least another 4 missile you wasted all 8missiles for 1 spaa.)

In the game: a rocket hits a tank and makes a water drop sound.
It was necessary to increase the damage to missiles long ago, instead of indifferently watching the suffering of players for many years.

They should give more spalls and overpressure to other HE shells and ATGM's , bombs and Cumulative ammunitions , bcs sometimes you just getting laughs about damage
Now they just need to fix the flight path of top attack ATGMs so they don't fall onto the ground in front of the target.
Ah so i see, CAS was not powerful enough? You would think that they would at some point stop buffing the thing that can kill tanks with impunity, unless someone wants to degrade they own match quality by jumping in an AA and maybe being able to fight the CAS.

TOW-2B is already completely braindead to use and infuriating to fight, why on earth should it be made even better? I genuinely felt bad for my enemies when used them and i hate facing them.
If anything they should be nerfed so that absolutely no one uses them, they were a mistake to add in the first place. Nobody should be able to completely negate cover like that

Nah something isn’t right, Gaijin has never ever made a NATO round/ATGM/etc spall this hard I’m in complete disbelief that they’re modeling autoloaders to be damaged, finally putting an 11.3 premium for Russia nerfing their top tier teams, and seemingly buffing only NATO ATGMs. This is unheard of and I’m scared of what they could possibly be planning to add to Russia to make them OP again in the future

Finally they're fixing the Hellfires and Mavericks! I was always a surprise to get a kill with those on first hit, with Littlebird I would usually get 1 kill with 4 Hellfire launches, that is if am lucky and they track properly.
they arent fixing them they are buffing them, the hellfires ingame just suck irl

Still not enough overpressure penetration - Maverics wont overpressure most paper spaa'a with less than 20mm armour while having 15+kg of explosive. Like hellfire with 8kg of explosive can not overpressure crew less than 2 meters away in literall tin can of a pantsir.

Current ly hellfire in live servers seems to be dud. it's kill with kinetic like losat, and that kinda suck when it acts like a guided bomb instead of a proper missile
I mean, it's barely hit a static target at 6km, overpressure not working, IoG guidances not working ,and the flight time is like 40 seconds while the pantsir can turn you into fireball in 6-8 sec🎉
