@@deca0 i know theres vehicles that are fully coded/modeled but havent added yet ive seen the videos on some of the non added stuff
I bet they wanted to sell this as a premium, but knew the community backlash would have been too much, hence the camo net.
I am still mad, that 2 if 3 ebr variants are almost inaccessible for the majority of players, even though they were mass produced and France does not have much unique vehicles overall
That's unfortunate, I would have buy it to grind FR tech tree

The reload might be bad, but HOT DAMN, 120 kph!? That’s nuts for a vehicle with a 105mm cannon
Don't forget the Rooikat MTTD, which carries DM23 (similar round to what this thing gets), 121km/h, thermals, and 6.7s reload autoloader, all at 9.0. And the Rooikat 105mm, with the same chassis, but with DM33.
When they boosted the engine from 600 to 700 hp, the VEXTRA could go to 130 km/h instead of 120 km/h.

The bug reports were going hard when this vehicle appeared on the dev server, and it's not even over.

@@nicolaspeigne1429 Yeah, they cannot just use the info of "semi automatic" reload system mentioned on the manufacturer's sheet.
Even though the Abrams doesn't have one and reloads in 5s with a 120mm shell...

Don't worry, realod and penetration will change in the futur ;), like interior module placement, turning radius and armor (capable of STANAG IV irl)
If challenger side-armor tells you anything, no, it probably will not change for the better.
STANAG IV protects up to 14.5mm projectiles, and the video seems to indicate that it already does.

afaik the vextra 120 is incapable of fighting, the turret exists and fires, but loading is ???? and it only ever fired while hooked up to external stuff

a french youtubeur that work at nexter (the new name of GIAT, consturctor of the VEXTRA) said that the VEXTRA should pen around 410mm and have a max speed of 130kph, a better armour (would resist to 14.5mm AP on any sides), a commander thermal and he should have a reload of around 6.7 secondes (according to this guy) so it will get even better than now
Around 70/80mm side and rear armor and with the way gaijin calculate pen it should be 480mm

@@exonys3838 i don’t remember where you can find it but they use the caliber velocity mass etc….of the shell and they either get more or less than it should be like the olf 120 f1 sould pen more than 600 at 2km and the ofl 105 f2 410/390

For people wondering ; it's going to get commander thermal, way better armor (from what I understood around 80-75mm on all sides), the round is still in the works, the wheels are going to get a rework, and if all goes well the reload should also be reduced.

8.7 is alright, I only wish they didn't move alpha jet to 9.0 and super etendard to 10.3, they ruined good cas France had (10.3 is too much for AMX 40)

@@chillglobe no, but if I want to play tiger had or super etendard, I have to uptier amx-40 to 10.0 or 10.3. At 10.0 it still performs OK, but 10.3 is too much

well this thing is going to get some other buffs : 480mm of pen, 80mm of armor all around the vehicle, a citv, gen2+ thermals and better reload

@@letankiste2340 they meant moved up farther from 9.7 in the future. rad 90, type 16, centauro 105 r, are all 9.7 too, but it's not like there aren't any overtiered French vehicles, it could happen again. the amx-13 fl11 is basically a worse chaffee (no reverse speed, no stab, no .50 cal, less crew) yet it sits at 4.3 while the chaffee is 3.7. there is an amx-13 with a chaffee turret which gives it everything except for the reverse speed, that's at 3.7, but it's a premium

As someone who grinded out the other 9.7 vehicles and even got the French IFV from a christmas GE crate, I'm really happy with a new light vehicle. The 9.7 line-up, on top of the AMX-32 105 requiring a reload buff atleast, needs new vehicles.

Quick reminder that France doesn't have stabilized vehicle until 9.3 while most of the tech trees start around 7.7.
Nah, 7.7 vehicles are still mostly stab-free, it usually starts at 8.0 to 8.7

I find it fascinating how a 105mm gun in 1997 has 325mm max pen, while an 88mm gun from 1944 has 279mm max pen. Yes there are other considerations but improvements in gun technology are more incremental than commonly thought.
The 325mm pen is a copy paste from the amx 10 RC round, the F3, which is actually a 90 mm APFSDS in a shell made for the 105 mm of the AMX 10 RC.
The OFL 105 F2 on the VEXTRA is a du round that will probably land around 480 mm of pen given the formula Gaijin usually uses.

Nah, this game keep add stuff to be a hard pass. See ya next patch until something decent will be add.
Most things will be corrected when the live version comes out, do not take everything that shows in the dev for granted
