I got my box a couple of weeks ago. It was priced $99 the day I ordered it. $108.41 tax included. There was a total of just over 25 yards of fabric. It came out to $4.33 per yard. Wasn’t sure if I would use it all but just decided to make a pink and purple baby quilt for a friend. Went through stash and didn’t have much in pinks and purples so I opened that box and hit the jackpot on pink and purple. Very pleased with this offer.
I love Missouri Star Quilt Company. I have purchased many items from them over the years. Especially love their video's showing exactly how to create many different quilts. The weird and unattractive fabrics can turn out to be the best companion pieces.
Well worth it. If there's material that you don't like, then you haven't cut it small enough. You can cut it into 2.5" squares and use the Stonehenge to snowball 5" squares.
I like to watch the unboxings. I like this one a lot more than the "poundage" box you got. Mostly because I use more quilting cotton than jersey knit, etc. MSQC sells higher quality cotton than Joann's or Hobby Lobby so the yardage normally costs more. I love the Valentine prints. Stonehenge is one of my favorite border/sashing/background fabrics. You can also piece together the fabrics you don't care for and use as a quilt backing. I have a ton of novelty fabrics, need some solids or small prints to go with them. It's not for everyone but I've seen others get their end of bolt boxes and they all look decent. I think it was a great box of fabrics and would be great for someone who is beginning quilting or just adding to a fabric stash. I need to de-stash but to be honest, that's not going to happen-LOL. That blue and white would be nice place mats too.
I agree! You can't go wrong with th high end cottons I received. I love Riley Blake and MODA in particular. Anything I won't use I'll just donate. It never goes to waste.
I just checked it out. MSQC also showed me some other fabrics. The yardage was about $12-$14 per yard. There's also charm packs with only 20 NOT 40 pcs for about $7-$10 each. Yes the box is definitely a good deal.
I couldn't agree more! This is the first time I've ever purchased one of these boxes. It was such a good experience that I ended up buying a second one! I'll share it once it arrives.
What a great Mystery Box fabric haul! The fabric is beautiful, and you have gotten a great variety. I believe it is well worth the money that you spent. Happy quilting!
I looked all over Missouri Star Quilt site and cannot find that mystery box anywhere… I loved all the fabrics you got, and would love to try and order one ….
I just checked and it says they are currently sold out of it, but you can give them your email and they will notify you when it is in stock. They offered it on day last week for $99. That's probably why they are sold out.
You can get these boxes from MSQC for a better price EVERY once in a while. Once in a while they will put them on sale for around $80 or so. So with shipping, etc. its right around $100. But they only do that maybe 1-2 times a year. You just have to watch for it.
@@cottagedesignsbyerin4548 I received my box today! You are right there is alot of fabric. Alot of bright fabric. Nothing I know, I even laughed a few times. I didn't know some fabrics even existed (Egyptian cats lol) Love all the mystery of it. Thanks again for sharing your video. I look forward to the challenge of using it all!
That is a lot of fabric. Here in The Netherlands this box would costs me more than € 500.- You made a great deal. Beautiful fabrics. If I would not have to pay a lot of shipping costs and also taxes, I would order from them too.
It is currently sold out, but you have the option of giving them your email and they will contact you when it is back in stock. I thought it was wonderful!
Fat quarters get a bad rap. Instead of cutting them into 10" squares, cut them into 9" squares. Then you get 4 squares per fat quarter as opposed to 2 pieces and some piece left over.
You go to www.missouriquiltco.com. Do a search for "Mystery Box" and then checkout and pay. Sometimes they are sold out of them, so you have to wait until they restock.

How can it be good deal when you can get fabric at hobby lobby for 74 cents a yard 90 percent of end of season .
I always wondered what might be in one of these boxes! Thank you for sharing! Lori Holt and the valentine fabric are in my stash! Enjoy!
You are so welcome! It was fun, but you hate to spend that type of money "just to try". Overall, I am not disappointed.

Absolutely true! Thank you for sharing.
Nice filming. It was good to see the fabrics come out of the box!
😆 🤣
You were lucky on this box of fabric, very nice!
I agree!
I love all the Northcott Fabrics. They have the best feel. Moda is my second choice for manufacturers. Thanks for sharing
That animal border would make a cute curtain for a child’s room
It is always like Christmas to open a box of fabric, especially a big box!!!
I agree. I feel bad about spending the money, but what a way to build your stash...having it directly delivered to the house.
Looks like a great fabric stash! TFS! Kathleen
It really is!
Definitely a great purchase! Your timing was on spot. 🎉
I think so too!
Well worth it. If there's material that you don't like, then you haven't cut it small enough. You can cut it into 2.5" squares and use the Stonehenge to snowball 5" squares.
Very true.
The sewing machine fabric would make a really pretty cover for a sewing theme journal.
What a great idea!

Definitely a good buy. Fat Quarters are very expensive now. A 100.00 doesn’t buy much in Fabric Stores.
Missouri Star doesn’t disappoint. Have fun

May not work for everyone, but perfect for a scrappy quilter like me! Thank you!
I AGREE! I thought it was too wonderful for words!
Thank you for sharing I always wondered about their mystery boxes.

I agree 100%!
Love the boxs
They are great fun and quite the bargain!
I’m waiting for my box to arrive! I love the fabrics that you got, I’d be thrilled!
It is SEW exciting! Like Christmas for a quilter!
I looked all over Missouri Star Quilt site and cannot find that mystery box anywhere… I loved all the fabrics you got, and would love to try and order one ….
It is still there. Do a search in the search bar on the site for "end of bolt box" or "mystery box".
I searched for end of bolt, and found it, but it is out of stock …😢 Thanks tho … I’ll check back.
I just checked and it says they are currently sold out of it, but you can give them your email and they will notify you when it is in stock. They offered it on day last week for $99. That's probably why they are sold out.

Thank you for the tip!
I liked the majority of the box, very nice! I didn’t know MSQC did such big scrape boxes.
Neither did I, now I'm in trouble
First I have heard of this. I am looking this up for myself. I buy fat quarter bundles that cost more than this. This is such a good deal!
I could not agree more! Just go to the website and type in "end of bolt mystery box". It will come up. I have a link in the description box here.

Definitely worth it! Me as a quilter would love it!
I agree! It felt like Christmas.
Wonderful variety! 😊
I thought so, too. I am not at all disappointed.

Yes. Today, the mystery box is only $99. Cheaper than I even bought mine! It is a deal.
For sure a great purchase! I did the math…using your total all in cost it comes out to be $6.32 per yard.
Yes, I mentioned that in the description above.
The fabric you are not crazy about I really do like.
I am sorry I missed this. I do not need any more fabric but what a temptation!
I just might try this
It is currently sold out, but you have the option of giving them your email and they will contact you when it is back in stock. I thought it was wonderful!
Good deal to me!!! You’ll put it all to good use!!!
I agree! I thought it was fabulous! Great for charity quilts and doll clothes, too.
How ooften do you find flawed places in the material or ripped cut places
Never. The only thing cut is sometimes the selvage.
Saw a piece of Millefiore by Kaffe Fassett for Free Spirit in there … antique colours I think.
You have a good eye!
I just bought some in another colourway 😉
Yes, this is the one I’ve been looking for everywhere!
So far, I loved them all.
I agree!
I have ordered 4 of these boxes and loved every one of them. Would order more if I had room. 5.27.2024
I only have two, but I was never disappointed. It's like Christmas when one arrives!
Great price. fat quarters are 2.50 each. 2.50 X 47= 117.50. Most of the fabric you have are name brands too. You got a great deal there.
For that amount of dollars I can go to a quilt shop and get exactly what I like. The box is not for me.
To each their own. It is a great stash builder.
Where are you finding quilting cotton for $6. a yard?
I agree I would spend the $$ on fabric that I know I would use,if I would have received that's box there was maybe 3 pieces that I may have used
I'm not that picky.
I would go find what I want and love myself too. I don't trust the end of he bolt fabrics. But as you say to each their own.
Well, that's fun!!! I might have to try that sometime.
You should!
Just out of curiosity, did you measure to see how many yards in total you got?
Not yet...I'm certain they either met the mark or surpassed it.
Northcott is my all time favorite
It is wonderful for sure!
Fat quarters get a bad rap. Instead of cutting them into 10" squares, cut them into 9" squares. Then you get 4 squares per fat quarter as opposed to 2 pieces and some piece left over.
True
Go check out Inspired Quilting by Lea Louise, she has a great system for fat quarter cutting
Great value.
Not sure I can get that amount of quality fabric in the UK at that price
It is quite the steal.
How do you get thia box
You go to www.missouriquiltco.com. Do a search for "Mystery Box" and then checkout and pay. Sometimes they are sold out of them, so you have to wait until they restock.
Definitely worth it!
I totally agree. I am not at all unhappy with what I received.
Yes it's worth it!
I totally agree!
😊
The one you said was “ethnic” print, I’ve been looking for that everywhere. Even MSQC said they were out of it 😢
I thought it was very pretty. The colors blend beautifully, plus, I like anything with turquoise or teal in it.
I have 6 of those sewing machines in a panel from my LQS. I collect sewing machine themes.
That's cool!
Look for her link she us affiliate and all march and April you get 20% off.
Nope, I think I’d rather pick my own fabric. 🌸
Whatever works for you.
Fair call. As a recipient of donated fabrics I usually get to have fun working out what to do with it
Fat quarters around Nebraska vary $4 and $4.50
Thank you for that information. That sounds high. All we have here is a Walmart in town, but even at that, Waverly fat quarters are almost $2 each.
It was worth it!
I think so too! It was like Christmas!
I think you got your moneys worth.
Pillows from the sewing machine fabric
I thought about that, too. They would also make a nice lap quilt for charities.
Not for me
I understand. Some people only buy fabric for the current project they are working on, others only make scrap quilts, etc.,
These are terrible. All look like old lady fabric. Im an old lady and I dont like it.
Each to their own. I loved it! They are perfect for stash building, gifts, and charity quilts.
