Thank you for sharing the Mystery box. We all like surprises but I have found that when I have purchased a "mystery" type of fabric or notions, I give away most of the fabric because it isn't something I would pick or use. So I look for sales and buy what I love.😉
I like the farm fabric for the chicken quilt. You could use both colors of fabric for feet and beeks, so you can switch colors to contrast the body of the chicken.
So I tallied up the total inches and it worked out to 26 yards of fabric. Works out to approx. $5.00 per yd. Great price. I thought they were all great and alot of variety. Use all the Breezeway and make a 3 yard quilt. I think you would be surprised how well it works. Have fun with your new fabric.
Great EOB box!! You got a lot of great fabrics. I love the farm fabric for your quilt and also to use both fabrics for feet and comb. You could pull one extra fabric from your new box that you got to complete your needs for the chicken quilt. This will be so much fun! Happy quilting.
I love the farm fabric for the chicken quilt on a creamy vanilla background. That fabric is gorgeous! The farm fabric has a lot of character and variety vs the Lori Holt fabric. Best of Luck!
I got mine yesterday too! We received some of the same prints, i received a few more of Chong's fabric line. I think it's worth it. Love the pattern. Great idea of using both colors for the feet! I like the chicken line but whatever you decide will look great! Thanks for sharing!
Always love your videos! Super excited about the chicken sew along, I think I need to go buy that pattern😂👍🏻 I love Laurie Holt, but I really like that farm line, though chickens would look super cute either way though. Glad you and Rosie the goat are on the mend! God bless!
I don’t know how I feel about the mystery box. I’m funny about surprises. Thank you for sharing! I like knowing ahead of time what I could be in for if I order something. I prefer the Lori Holt fat quarters for the chickens. I think I’d pull the 2 orange fat quarters and use those as beaks and feet. I bet you have a couple pieces in the mystery box that would replace them. I remember a couple that I thought reminded me of Lori’s. I think you your background will be ok, but I think if I could pick, I’d pick a lighter color.
I was wanting to call it out for her. It would have been Edyta Sitar. She has beautiful fabrics. Rich designs and makes the most perfect, stunning quilts. I have some of her fabrics but am more inclined to use Lori Holt or some others for the quilts I am drawn to.
Oh my goodness! I also ordered an end of bolt box from MSQC. It looks like it's getting here on Monday. Last week FQS had the Cluck Cluck Sew patterns on sale and I ordered the chicken pattern also! I LOVED the Farm fabric with the 2 different colors (orange and yellow). I can't wait to see what you decide. Take care and God Bless!
Some of the fabric you might not like as well as the others can be used to practice free motion or hand quilting, practice embroidery, donation quilts, bowl cozies or baked potato sleeves. You got a good box and lots of blenders and stash builders.
Omgoodness! I didn’t think about those! Thank you so much 🥰 I do have an embroidery machine I need to practice with and that would be perfect for what I’m needing to for!
I just found you, and I’m really enjoying your RUclips. I’m retired, wanting to get more into quilting….if I can even get the time. Oh and I love chickens! That quilt will be amazing! Have a blessed day!
Just found your channel. You've probably already chosen which fabric you are going to use, but I think that farm fabric is gorgeous and would be perfect for the chicken's quilt. Have subscribed and looking forward to your quilt videos. Thanks!
Yes! I love so many of them! I already have ideas of what I’m going to do with some. The few I’m not crazy about, I’ll cut them into strips and use on my string quilt
I think there is value in the box if you use a lot of variety in your quilts. I like the farm fabric for the chickens. You can always use the bunnies for something else or on the back.
You could always make 2 quilts. Try to keep the figures for the chickens on the smaller side so that the outlines of the chickens aren't broken up by the larger prints.
When I first started quilting in the 90s a box like that would have been fun to color coordinate. But know I am spoled by fabric collections and would not buy such a box. That said I may have been more create in the 90's instead of playing so safe now. I'll bet you can use some of those fabrics with your chicken quilt. I just recieved the finishing kit for bobbin blossoms. It came with Bella cream yardage I am also adding a row and have some of Cory Yoder's sunwashed that coordinates with the flower girl line.
I like the Lori Holt fabric for the chickens but that mustard/gold small piece of fabric in your Missouri star box would be perfect for feet and beets.
Use the farm fabric for the chickens. Lori Holt fabric would be a typical choice in my opinion because it resembles the picture on the pattern and the farm fabric would be outside the box kind of choice.
I think from a cost perspective its a good deal, if you have the creativity to make it all work or ok with stashing it until u find a use ..its all good
I would use the farm fabric. You already have everything you need. Why buy more if you don’t have to. Save the money for a bundle of fabric. That way you have a lot more fabric that goes together!😊❤
I love the farm meadows line but I would use the Lori Holt fabric instead. I think the beautiful prints might be cut too small and you'll lose the designs with it.
@@laurenyoung1858think about doing a friend mail box opening, it will boost your subscribers and all that. You can use my first name and where I’m from if you want. I will share your videos with the other channels I watch.
I would never buy any mystery packages from Missouri Star after a friend ordered a 10 one-yard special mystery box and received 10 cuts of the exact same fabric! And it was so ugly and not something she would ever use. I think most people would expect different cuts and hope to get some they really liked.
Oh my! This was my first and last honestly. I did receive some nice fabric, but I bought to help my fabric stash for things I wouldn’t normally buy, but that’s about it. My daughter also is learning to sew so it’s good practice for her to use 😊
Oh that’s not why I measure. There are several ladies that want to know the sizes of each piece since they are all different sizes, kinda gives them an idea on what to expect ☺️
Yes ma’am, I know what scripture you’re talking about 😊 My tattoos are before I fully gave my life to the Lord, I have no desire to get anymore the closer to the Lord I get. He’s changed me so much and continues to every day and I’m eternally thankful for that ❤️
Honey don't crack your knuckles when you get older your really going to have problems. Believe I know,I used to do the same thing and my hands and knuckles hurt me so bad now. Not trying to tell you what to do. I'm just trying to be nice and save you from alot of pain later on. I hope I haven't offended you in any way.
Not at all! My husband tries to remind me not to, but I guess it’s a habit now. I’ll try and be more conscious about it. I don’t want to have problems with my hands. I honestly didn’t know if it was true that it would hurt later on in life
I am enjoying your videos and enthusiasm's. The MSQC box was a $ value if you will use half of it. Edyta Sytar (ahh-Dee’-tah. See-tar’) has a RUclips channel and many fabric lines with Andover. The chicks will be more vintage with the Lori Holt fabric which is what I will use if I make it. The larger farm prints will make a colorful modern vibe. A chicken wire print background would look good too . Have fun, Pat

Love the mystery box. I really like the bright chicken with the gray background. They are so cheerful and bright!!!
I like the farm fabrics for the chickens! 🐥🐓
I like the bright colors for the chickens.
I like the farm fabric for the chicken quilt. You could use both colors of fabric for feet and beeks, so you can switch colors to contrast the body of the chicken.
Lovely MSQ box. The farm fabric would be great for the chickens! 🐓
Good box from MSQC. I like the farm fabric for the chickens.

I like the Lori Holt fabric for your cute little chickens!
I love the farm fabric for the chicken quilt on a creamy vanilla background. That fabric is gorgeous! The farm fabric has a lot of character and variety vs the Lori Holt fabric. Best of Luck!

Love the chicken pattern please do a sew a long that would be fun😊
Isn’t it so cute?! I will definitely be doing a sew a long. ❤️ I’m excited to start it!

I’m leaning towards the farm line, I think it just “goes” with the chickens. Yes! Buy the pattern and sew along with me 🥰
Great box! I'd love to try one 👍
I'm glad I found you, always eager to learn from others
Yay! 🥰 Glad you’re here! I’m not professional lol but I love sewing and wanna share what I can
So glad I found you!
So glad you’re here! 🥰
You received some really nice fabric there.
I think you did great. Nice variety and nice sizes.
Buy fabric that you know work for you. In the long run you will be better off. I have been quilting for over 25 years, been where you are.
I think the box is great. I like the farm fabrics for the chickens.

awesome box of fabric!
I think so also. My daughter has claim the Mac and cheese one 😂
I vote for the first collection!
These are beautiful fabrics
I’m pretty happy with them. My daughter loved the macaroni and cheese one lol
Was it Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket / Andover
It may have been! I need to look it up and see if it is. Thank you! ❤️

Lori holt fabric. Fabric from Missouri was worth it. Thanks for sharing.
Lori’s fabric of coarse 🤣🤣
Love your channel..
Thank you so much 🥰
I like the second bundle
Some of the fabric you might not like as well as the others can be used to practice free motion or hand quilting, practice embroidery, donation quilts, bowl cozies or baked potato sleeves. You got a good box and lots of blenders and stash builders.
Omgoodness! I didn’t think about those! Thank you so much 🥰 I do have an embroidery machine I need to practice with and that would be perfect for what I’m needing to for!
Use the Breezway fabrics for a picnic quilt for the Summer, or maybe a table cloth!
That’s such a good idea! I don’t have a picnic blanket either!
I love the Lori Holt fabrics. It’s gorgeous
I just found you, and I’m really enjoying your RUclips. I’m retired, wanting to get more into quilting….if I can even get the time. Oh and I love chickens! That quilt will be amazing! Have a blessed day!
Farm fabric
Pull 1 fabric from the new box.
That navy and white stripe would make a great binding
both fabrics would make up well, but i think the farm one would be fun.
Her name is Edyta Sitar of laundry basket quilts. Pronounced A dita .She is bigtime! Nice fabrics ! 😊
Thank you! I need to look her up and her fabrics ❤️
I like the farm fabrics.
I also did the end of bolt box and would likely do it again

Yay! Welcome! 🥰🥰🥰
Farm fabric for the chickens. Different colored legs is fine. The unboxing was nice. I think it was a good buy.
Hello from South Greenland! I enjoyed your video. ;) :) :)
Thank you 🥰
i think you got lucky with your box, most of the fabrics are beautiful. lori 'holt line
If you use the farm fabric use yellow for some feet/beeks and orange for others.
You could always make 2 quilts.
Try to keep the figures for the chickens on the smaller side so that the outlines of the chickens aren't broken up by the larger prints.
Use the farm fabric for the chickens.
That is a good price for the mystery box
I vote for tha Farm Fabric for the Chicken pattern.
That new pattern would be good for the Lori holt fabrics
I like the lori holt fabric. Use Yellow or orange for the chicken legs. In Lori's chicken pattern she has pink chickens!
I like the second bundle and see nothing wrong with using both colors for the chicken feet.
My fabric addiction 1 on Etsy has great mystery stuff!
Ooooooh I need to check them out! Thank you! ❤️
Hey great u boxing video.
Thank you 🥰

I’m hoping to start cutting the fabric for the Bobbin Blossoms this weekend. So ready to get to sewing!
I like the Lori Holt fabric for the chickens but that mustard/gold small piece of fabric in your Missouri star box would be perfect for feet and beets.
Edyta Sitar designed that really pretty fabric
I would use the Farm fabric
Use the farm fabric for the chickens. Lori Holt fabric would be a typical choice in my opinion because it resembles the picture on the pattern and the farm fabric would be outside the box kind of choice.
I think from a cost perspective its a good deal, if you have the creativity to make it all work or ok with stashing it until u find a use ..its all good
Edyta Sitar - I love everything she makes.
The first fabric you took out is batik the salvage is very different than regular salvage.
Quilters are using the National Parks fabric to out line the National Parks Pannel. You might think about ordering it. You would love it.
I need to look into that! Thank you 🥰
I like farm fabric minus the bunnies
Oh hey, We got hit here with n Dallas but everyone else got it worse. Hope you and your are doing well.
Glad yall are ok! These storms have been so crazy!
I choose Lori Holt for the chickens! Of course, either will be beautiful.
I would use the farm fabric. You already have everything you need. Why buy more if you don’t have to. Save the money for a bundle of fabric. That way you have a lot more fabric that goes together!😊❤
Honey and lavender is on sale for $7.99 at both hancocks of Paducah and the fabric shack
That price is per yard
Thank you! 🥰 it’s such a beautiful line! I need to order some soon!
I also think it would be cute to use a cow print for a couple of the chickens
That would be darling!!!!
Me personally, I like the bright colors.
the farm fabric for chickens hi from Ireland
Hi! 🥰 I want to visit Ireland one day! It looks absolutely beautiful! So glad you’re here!
We were always told to cut off selvages , they are a tighter weave than the fabric. Don' t leave them in your quilts. 😊
Use them both
Try taking pics of the various color combos .. in color and in black n white(for value variation)
You should check out Hancocks of Paducah's sale section. They frequently put white on white on sale. Well, and their sales just rock in general :)
I will definitely look them up! Thank you! I’m always looking for good sales
The farm fabric
Did it happen to tell you the sea glass and light blue solids are manufactured by? Love those colors
No it didn’t sadly
I'm waiting on my box I got half of the oder yesterday I hoop it isn't lost
Oh no!!!
😢it definitely got lost missouri star already refunded me I've been watching everyone's unboxings
There is a saying I heard. “If you don’t like the fabric, cut it up. If you still don’t like it, cut it smaller!” 😂😂😂
lol love it! 😂
I love the farm meadows line but I would use the Lori Holt fabric instead. I think the beautiful prints might be cut too small and you'll lose the designs with it.
That’s what I was thinking. The florals would be perfect, but I need to find more of them
LORI HOLT FABRIC LAUNDRY BASKET IS BY ETA SYTAR IF THAT HELPS YOU ANY
Team Farm Fabric here.
Edyta sitar Riley Blake she has her own patterns
Breezeway could maybe used for Xmas?
You sound much better! I have your package ready to ship.
I also put a few extras in there.
Thank you! 🥰 I’m so excited! And yes! I don’t sound near as “froggy” 😂
@@margiesews I’m so excited to get it! I’m going to do a video on unboxing it if that’s ok with you?

Looks like you have plenty of fabric to make scrape quilts

what is the name of the pattern that the fellow at your church made please. thanks
Sparklers 😁 it was in a quilting magazine he had
Does that fabric have a smell? Last box of fabric I got it smelled like cigarette smoke. Not from this place, but somewhere else.
No, this fabric smelled normal/new. It was all folded into nicely also
Lori Holt would be my choice
How much was the end of bolt box??
It was $115 before taxes and all. I can’t remember the exact amount when I checked out.
Nice rob box ! I’ll be ordering one for fun. However why measure it? Dull it’s not like msq is going short you.
Oh that’s not why I measure. There are several ladies that want to know the sizes of each piece since they are all different sizes, kinda gives them an idea on what to expect ☺️
Where are you located?
I’m in Texas 😁
I don’t like the chicken print for your chicken quilt. Lori Holt is my vote.
Hi ow do you buy a mystery box
I order straight from Missouri Star. They are sometimes sold out and you have to kinda keep checking to see when they are back in stock
