I flew on ZK-OJA back in 2004 from Wellington to Melbourne and back. OJA spent most of its Air New Zealand career on trans-Tasman services due to having the international cabin layout (Y165 with personal IFE), so seeing it operate on the CHC-ZQN route would be a rare sight.
WOW! What a beautiful livery! I just recently finished reading the LOTR books and, it was just amazing! Can't recommend it enough! Lovely approach as well, really enjoyable!
I love the approach into Queenstown. Have flown it twice in the last months. It's especially rewarding in VR. The greatest thing about it that the area has Photogrammetry, which means that you get the real life topography in high resolution. The Jeppesen Charts however are highly incomplete. The RNP AR23 chart they have is the Z chart and that is tailored for Cat B Aircraft. What you want is the Y chart. That one is for C and D aircraft. That one has no speed or flap restriction on the go around and a lower Minimum. And it has segments that are only applicable to Airbus aircraft. You can find them all at Vatsim NZ.
The last few weeks i was a lot around in New Zealand and Australia with the Cessna Longitude. I bought the Premium Deluxe in 2020 and never really used it maybe just for 1 or 2 short test flights. But now after the recent updates i installed the NZ and AU world updates and finally flew in realtime from my home EDMS (Straubing) to New Zealand and flew to almost each Airfield there (with a limit of 4000 feet runway length).
@@A330Driver I'm on Xbox Series S and it went so smoothly, one of the best experiences since I have the sim, actually.. good performance, smooth, no bugs, a nice flight overall!! I loved it, and I like to improve my skills in difficult conditions (it was such a windy and turbulent flight).. I have a BIG problem with Wasm addons, they are just broken, like pmdg 737 and asobo atr 72, but fortunately it's a known issue of the sim update 15 beta!!
Really enjoyed this, plus I often learn things due to your professional flow & flying etc Emanuel. Although NZQN has become particularly well known through MSFS2020, I have been flying in/out in sims probably for about 15 years, originally in MS98 or 2000. The ATR flights in have a relatively high diversion rate back to NZCH at times, (not sure why there is a difference against jets, maybe different minumums in low celiings??) while windshear and crosswinds on approach can be problematic even for jets given the approach and terrain. I live just 200km from ZQN.
Try to deinstall 3rd party addons that you dont really need. The last few years i downloaded so much my SSD drive (i solely bought for the MSFS) is already full. So i was forced to delete some stuff. At one point i made a radical reinstall of everything although it took a lot of hours to re-download my needed stuff but its worth it - in my opinion. Just get rid of some stuff even if it hurts when you think of the invested download times.
Oh try first not to delete the files but to relocate them in a temporary folder everything out of official and community into a officialtemp and communitytemp for example then it doesnt load everything on start and then you can shovel the files one by one back into the original folders and see if the performance is affected.
