I made the entire Halo Silent Cartographer Mission in Halo Infinite Forge complete with enemies, friendlies, and objectives to prove you could.

This is probably the most incredible thing any forger has ever done. I mean sure they are more technical and unique ideas out there but to be able to faithfully recreate one of the greatest halo missions of all time is something completely incredible. there is only one other person who I can think of who did this and that was the halo 3 remake of CE and that had all the benefits of modding tools. I really hope 343 ups the budget even more so even more halo levels like this can be created, maybe even adding music ques so that you can get the true halo mission experience. Fantastic work man I love this so much.

When I was a kid I would say dream about having the ability to have my own AI forge battles and custom campaign missions. To see that dream come true so many years later is a bitter sweet moment for me.

Played through this last night with a friend. Pretty sure our jaws were hanging open the entire time, especially when we ventured into the underground portions, just astounding
Infinites Mk. V looks unbelievably good. This is how it always should have looked. I still laugh about all the big "metal slippers" that have been on it in the modern era. Infinite finally does it right.

This is insanely cool, the silent cartographer is my favorite mission of all time in the halo franchise and to see it reconstructed like this! I can’t wait to play it once I get home from work only wish is I saw it sooner

Since the launch of H:I I’ve been waiting for the game to have split screen to play with my son, but 343i never did it. Looks like this map of yours is going to be closest to being able to do that. This is awesome, built from the ground up! Had not used forge since the Reach days but learning nodes on Core Defense Hornburg has been fun.

Took about an hour but I finally completed it on heroic. Fantastic job! My only nitpicks were the weapon choices and the fact that the marines would run back to the start if I made one get out of my warthog to trade weapons or if it flipped.
yeah the marines are finicky about that, I wonder if I should make them follow the player around the whole island as an update for the map... Thanks for playing and what weapons would you have preferred?
@@Nikos. Assault rifle is fine but instead of the pistol, maybe the evo bandit or the variant pistol would have been better. The fight with the red hunters was crazy because every time I died, all I had were the assault rifle and pistol and so I would damage a bit, then die again, so it was a bit frustrating.

Very cool map, a faithful recreation of my favorite CE level. And just in time for CE's birthday, too.
Took me WEEKS to recreate a small survival map from left 4 dead. So, I can't imagine the struggle to recreate a level of this size. Truly amazing man. Can't wait to try it.

Fun fact: In Halo CE Anniversary, it’s demo had the reach assault rifle design so seeing the Infinite AR with the mark V looks very nice together

It really does feel like that I got on again for the first time in years and the vibes were great. Haven’t tried forge yet but I’m sure it’ll be very nostalgic I remember when everyone was making hentai girls on halo 3 forge and posting screenshots of it on the community hub 😂
Nicko's, this map looks amazing, while I was watching it, I may of just thought of a solution to the Halo Ce armor problem.
Have two separate bundles, one is the main bundle (the one that is out), that comes with all the stuff, plus a weapon kit that makes the assault rifle look the the OG assault rifle, and pistol too (It would still cost the same).
And make a smaller kit (that'll cost $10-$12), that is just the armor kit with the visor.
I feel like doing this will help make sure that people who bought the Original bundle don't feel scamed out for paying $20 for the skin (and they get a new weapon kit), but it also makes the people who wants just the armor and visor, and don't want to feel left out, be able to buy it. Plus, it can open up more people to spend more, and both customers are happy.
I woulda liked that solution too, I want the CE bullet hose back...
@@Nikos. Same here, maybe they add modified guns to Halo infinite like for Halo 5, I think that might be the next feature that is added to Season 6, and assassinations.
Hell yeah another Silent Cartographer map maker. Everything you said about zoning is the same thing I had to do as well. Tough with non linear
agreed, the zones took me a few revisions to implement a successful solution. Instance variables saved me on that one
@HMkiller05 it was yours I played. Very good recreation.
@haloforever7118 it took me about 4 months to do it all, and I felt the pain in this video when he broke down the process... it was tough and a lot of saves with crashes.
@@HMkiller05 thanks for the effort. I do have a video uploaded of the game I ran through if you haven't seen, I expected the open endedness of the map to be an issue so it's really impressive it all works perfectly.

Halo is surviving because people like you keep it alive. These maps in Halo 1, 2, 3 should be done in Unreal engine 5.3 with some remakes and twists. The Halo campaign MUST make a comeback.

I’m amazed with all these contents fans has made for just a few weeks… Meanwhile it’s been 3 years and 343 has not added anything in the campaign.
Hopefully someday we get microsoft to allow them to rebuild a campaign team or what not, considering microsoft made that decision from everything I've seen

Wow amazing!! This will bring so many memories😌 I'm curious about one detail though, is it possible to make the texture of the alien structure feel more like "stone"? I feel like in infinite they always look like made of metal, but in CE more like stone

Played through with some people and was very cool! Only complaints are that when I died, some of the respawns were wonky, and it kept spawning a BUNCH of enemies and got a bit overwhelming. And then the game randomly ended before I could finish the mission
Hmm did you play with the gametype? After leaving the facility, there's a button at the top of the cartographer that spawns that when pressed ends the game, that's the only way to correctly end the match aside from if you played with a time limit, also stick together in coop I currently don't have an efficient solution to teleport players back to eachother atm, just stay near eachother and it runs perfectly!
@@Nikos.ahh one of the randos I played with must have activated it. Also, is there any way to play with AI on easy or normal or just heroic and legendary?
I have just heroic and legendary as there are infinite respawns to make up for it, would you like an easy and normal mode I can make them. @@squibby4410
@@Nikos.I set the AI to normal on solo and I think that seemed to help? Either way, just beat it and I gotta say hats off to you man, awesome experience! I love the mixture of Halo Infinite enemies and assets with the feel and design of CE.

This is epic, only way youd have anywhere near 24 players as a real feeling mission, is if everyone was odst’s, no shield, less melle damage, and either no sprint or slower walking and sprint

you did so well on this map and I can't wait to play it again tomorrow. When I killed those hunters without any equipment I felt unstoppable, after dying multiple times to them lol. I do wish I was able to edit the map tho like making it night and spawning in marines with sniper rifles to make it a stealth mission, or making every single one of the enemies the berserk brutes. Still though, absolutely amazing to play and ground breaking mission wise.
I may have to make a forge canvas out of the map so players can build on it

That's strange, in testing it never failed, you have to kill every enemy in that first section. I'll take a look at it further lmk if something changes!

Lol great job I wouldn’t be surprised if the original game faced the same issues, not every enemy was spawned on the map as well :D
the original halo games would save past areas and deload them, loading in the next area upon hitting a trigger, similar to this map. Because scripting doesn't provide an efficient way to save the previous areas, it just respawns all the enemies when you reenter the zone.
Halo Infinite is now fulfilling with its own name.

Whats most crazy is that someone already made this in forge. This huge map and all the ai and set pieces all there twice now. Seems mad when thete are so many halo missions to pick. We already have silent cartographer twice.
I started working on it before I knew the other version existed, and finished right when I found out the other map was undergoing a campaign renovation. It is an iconic mission, perhaps I'll have to make another one and see how it goes!

Yeah I started making the two main structures back in the spring, but then when water was released I had to take them and create the island. so luckily I had done a lot of the work before hand, but piecing them together was the crazy part. dont get me started on the scripting, cause I had no clue what I was doing.

I’ve been working on a campaign map inspired by assault on the control room, the great thing about it is I don’t have to add grass, that’s one big issue I have with forge is that you you can’t auto generate grass on terrain.
This is the only reason halo will stay alive. Modders like you. Until the next halo infinite campaign.

At 4:22 you need to make it so the warthog can drive through that structure, but otherwise flawless.
I hope we can get all Halo CE missions leading up to 343 guilty spark so we can play through a true remastered CE and when 343 adds the flood and flood ai finish the CE campaign

You can change it to yellow in the settings for the game, you make all your friendlies yellow
@@Nikos. Yeah ive done that, but its a poor quality yellow. Not even gold. And i want it for all Spartans. Fixing another problem that didn't exist in the first place.
