@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE Dane, Over 44 years. I drove a lot of trucks. I remember my first truck a 74, R model Mack, 237, 2 stick 6 speed , then a 66 R model Mack 237, Quadra plex, 5 & 4. Then a 66 GMC Crackerbox. Well the list goes on and on. Just a few of the first trucks I had the privilege to drive. They were rough riding, hot in the summer cold in the winter. Still I have some fond memories. Thank you Sir!
This brings back some fun memories. I was running a 77 K100 from Southern California to Bronx, New York. I was based in Northwest Arkansas. A 290 horsepower Cummins, 10 speed, 3:55 gears. Fun times.
Gday Dane Love watching your relaxed videos on all things trucks I’m loving Bill the k100 We have them over here in Australia I’ve owned a couple and wish I never sold them Thanks for your passion Steve from Australia 👍
Been getting behind on my watching!!! This past month and a half I spent doing bodywork, ( cough, Bondo! ) painting, (rattlecans) and wetsanding and buffing, my '77 F150. It looks real decent. Still need to re-wetsand the hood, and do a better buff job (with good pads and compounds) on the whole thing. I used Ace Rust Stop, Machine and Implement spraypaint, 33 cans, and am impressed. Ace was $5.99 a can, and the body supply place wanted $17 a can for custom mix. Did 3 coats, was not careful around edges when sanding and buffing, and still never went through!
Very nice Kw...Hard not to love it...And you are right...anyone can build a catalog long nose peterbilt..Cant say that about a k100...And yes polishing can get very intense....Might have to sand them to make them pop if he was working that truck from road grime... Love watching ur channel from the house of Macks here...
Thank you Ed, I’m probably let the guy that did them before have his way the tanks and wheels soon. I’ve got too much to get done lol. Love the “House of Macks” 😬👍and thank you for watching.
Hello driver!! Glad to see that beautiful truck come back to you, I'm sure u will make it even better with your final touches!..Columbo is a lucky man to ride in that k100, tell him hello and 10.4 driver im gone !
Great episode and great comments. I am one that “ just walks by them” at the shows and I go for the COE’s (any make) and other brand “ hoods”. I appreciate the fans of the hooded Pete’s but just not for me.
O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸 So he was working Blueberry Bill? Cool! Pistol Pete was one good looking 359. Yes, there are a lot of 359s out there, but yours sure was a unique truck, too! I can SURE relate to that Cabover Fever! And riding in a cabover to Boston would be a very memorable ride! Is Bill still with us? It’s one great way to honor him, to name a truck after him. And he has a Cat engine! WOW! Good job on the carpet, polishing & painting. Is the frame that same color of blue? It sure pops well! The visor is original, I’m sure. At least it’s still in good shape! Some more good stuff! Definitely a truck that you will look back at when you get out & walk away from it in a parking lot! I’m sure Columbiana enjoys it, too! Blessings my friend! 🥰🥰✌️
Hey buddy, unfortunately Bill Brown passed away several years ago I just missed being able to show him my first truck restoration by a few weeks. I really wanted to show it to him but it wasn’t meant to be I guess. Anyway yeah that the dark blue is all the same on the stripes on the frame & up pipe. It was weatherworn black when I got it the Cowboys white with the green back half and one stripe at the top that came around it looks nice but I wanted to change it make it my own.
Very nice Kenworth and glad to see you putting your Touches on it. Again Glad you got her Back. Question are Cabover Brockways are to Come by. Keep the Hammer Down Save and Sound
Glad to see “Blueberry Bill” back in the fold, and yeah….ditching the green stripe for a darker blue was the way to go! “Pistol Pete” was a fine ride, but you’re right….Peterbilt conventionals ARE a bit of a “bellybutton” truck and as a result are hard to stand out in a crowd.
That truck is sharp! I've mentioned before that I have a 80 cabover that I would like to get fixed up. You replied back. How do we get together and talk about it? Thanks in advance!
Good looking truck! I’m in the beginning process of restoring my grandpa’s K123 high door handle, one thing I’m learning is parts are hard to find. Do you have any recommendations or tips I can look into?
Man my dad had a k100 just like Bill and my little brother was playing in it and and caught it on fire and burned the headliner out talking about pissed 😅
Very disappointed to see Pistol Pete gone. That was my favorite truck. I owned a small window Pete and regret selling it. They are more rare than the K100's.
We all have our connections to certain trucks. I love them too obviously but my connection is to the cabovers. Not to say I’ll never own another Pete lol.
Glad Bill is back home . So, what left the Peter built long nose ? Cab overs are more rare and priceless. Can that same company make the classic Detroit alpine green engine paint?
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGEhonestly a great move. You see way to many 359's, 379's and 389's at truck show and your right you tend to overlook them cause they are everywhere. Unless you got something really spectacular, their are a few.
Dane Scott you guys at the truckers lounge do a good job getting old school trucks restored and running keep the hammer down safe and sound 😊
Thanks Buddy
Nice job of getting Bill back and getting Bill back into top notch appearance, torsion bar suspension and all!
Yepp and it works great, and can air ride was added.
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE Better ride plus preserving truck history, win-win!
Its always a pleasure spending time at the lounge. Thanks Dane.
Glad to have you 😊👍

Welcome back Bill k-100 but to be honest Dane I’m going to miss Pistol Pete that was a good looking truck.
Trust me I feel the same way and every time I start thinking about it I change my train of thought very quickly lol.
I can definitely relate with all you have to do on a smaller scale with my model building lol😅!!
Looking Great Dane ,, anxious to see ""Bill"" hooked up to the Reefer , that'll be Sharp !!!! As always Safe Travels 👍👍👍👍
Thanks buddy, I’m hoping the complete rig will be ready for Aug 17. 🤞🤞

Ok next episode
Cool that you were able to get that K100 back... It won't be as an extensive restoration as Grasshopper but it definitely has a few needs...
Right on. 👍😬
Should get a tube of windshield urarhane that funnel will never leak and will be strong to

That was on it when I got it the first time. I’ll probably do something else but not sure what yet.
