You can NEVER have too many cabovers! Buy it!
Not every truck needs to be stretched Bruce. This one is perfectly fine the way it is!
You really, really, NEED this truck Bruce! Trucks this clean don't come along very often, DO it!😊
N14 probably their best engine, see the square box with the fins on it behind the injection pump about 8" square that is your ECM, impossible to find but they hardly ever go bad they were built pretty hardy in those days not like the junk today. Truck is a cream puff incredible shape, single axle brings the value down immensely.
Bruce don’t stretch it because you can give it away and plus it’s hard find that good of single axle and being a cabover
NO
Bro that truck is from my home town it was used to carry horses for shows and garage kept its I tire life it was special ordered back in the day and then re painted to match the trailer much love guys ❤ love to see that old rig again
I drove one similar to it for Roadway Package System in the early 90s that was white. The Shaker I drove didn't have power mirrors or passenger-side windows. It was a plain Jane spoke wheels truck. Pulled doubles from NJ to Florida to Harrisburg PA and back to NJ weekly. If you get it, LEAVE IT ALONE! A truck that old with that setup and that clean is a rarity. The previous owner took really good care of it.
It definitely sounds like a N14. I'd keep it original
I’m a truck driver and started out in the 80,s with a cab over just like that one lol, loved it!
Me as well.1978.
Thanks for keeping us updated! I feel sympathy and empathy for our country. low income people are suffering to survive, and I appreciate Deborah. You've helped my family with your advice. imagine investing $30,000 and receiving $95,460 after 28 days of trading.
You can make a lot of money from the
market regardless of whether it strengthens or crashes. The key is to be well positioned.
All you need is a good capital and the
service of a professional broker, with those your investment will most certainly produce high yields.

Oooooo replacement for BlueCollar!!!!! Buy it!
Buy it!!!!
Buy it
that truck would be awesome to stretch, but i really think you should keep it a single drive axel just to keep it unique and factory.
My dad had a 74' Diamod Rio when I was a kid. So old cabovers always get my attention.
The First Truck I Drove was A Diamond Rio Twin Stick
@@dalemciver7118 That's awesome
You know you need her ❤️❤️ good old green dollar 😊😊❤️❤️❤️
Walk away, it deserves a nice new home Not being beat up on the back streets of the 301 doing Donuts
That truck would make the perfect mobile home hualer .it's cab over with short frame and single axle and small motor.
Some wealthy Batchelor needs this single axle to pull his boat or camper. Really like this truck.
It’s a N14 Cummins celect 435hp. You can put the different fuel pump on there and u would have a N14 Celect Plus Cummins making 525hp. Best motor ever
Early n-14celect is way different than later n-14 called red top different computer , sensors , injectors , turbo , select is way off from 525 celect + the red top celect +will run circles around the celect!!!
Yep, Agree, as soon as I saw it I knew it was an N-14.
@@wildbill5126 so easy to recognize because it’s square
Don't generalize friend, the N14 in Europe was garbage, one of the worst on the market, the same thing happened to Mack's V8. Europe plays in another, much higher league.
Those early celect engines are notorious for ecm failures. They also had a full mechanical N14 in the early years with a pt pump.
Sorry Ryan is right.
1 the cameraman never gets hurt.
2 that truck is awesome just the way it is.
Not too many single axles left around. Super cool short truck.
And yes buy it
For all those who say they hate euro trucks. Compare this Freightliner and the Scania that Bruce bought. Both are 90s trucks, but one of them still looks like it was made in the 70s. And don't get this wrong, I love USA trucks...
I would take the freightliner, and I drive new scania.
@@maltlickymalitia4809 Lol
I hope you read this, seeing you really like the scania's and EU trucks.
MAN (man f2000 for example) en Mercedes made v10 diesel trucks from around the same era that the scania's you have came from.
I am sure you are going to love those!
Need a back to back ride test, loaded pulls to 60 etc between this and the black Scania.
IMO clean it up (headliner, any rusty or cosmetic issues), maybe a lil flare but something that compact is rare to see over there.. +1 for not stretching it
But something. Just dunno what.
Your reaction when that thing said hello😂🤣
Gotta love those 90s fla/flb cabovers, but I think the flc series is code for the conventional long hood rigs. I know you like to customize to your own taste but the specs on this single axle is rear like dinosaur bones😂 either way I'm in full support, its entertaining!🔥🔥👍
Hi Bruce, so you are going to Sweden again to Scania in the king's curve, rumor has it that our King drove off the road there when he was young, hence the name. Driven lots of Scania and Volvo over the years. Scania in the curve has a really good lunch restaurant above try it.. Now I drive a gravel trailer with a -2023 Volvo fh 540 feels a bit weak in the engine compared to my former Volvo fh16 750 globetrotter I had before though. nice channel good job..
At the first of the video you called the truck an FLC. FLC designates Freightliner conventional, the FLD followed the FLC. What you have is an FLA cabover. Also, you won't notice rust in the cab as it is all aluminum.
I can assure you it has been serviced more times than it even needed to be aswell it sat from time to time they used it for personal horse stuff
Buy it and keep it single axle! That's so cool!!! Loving it!
Love this truck! A little detailing and some of your typical magic, but I suspect it may find a market with RV toters as-is, given the single drive axle, without making a project of it to extend the frame/add a second drive axle.
I’m with Ryan, leave it original. So that being said, Ryan should buy it !!!
Grew up with cabovers. Mainly Peterbuilt but others also , freight shakers , and kenlogs. 😅
Cabovers are just the best, especially turn radius. 👌🙂👍 BUY IT!!! just a wee bit less considering age n it only being single axle.
N14 Cummins. Good reliable motor and she sounds real nice. Miss that sound, old man used to have a Freightliner with the N14 Red Head.
Buy it, clean it up, polish, new seats, new pillow top mattress and she's good as gold.
That’s an early 90’s Cummins N14 CELECT 335 and up to 435 hp.
The N14 series started production in 1991 and replaced the famous 855 Big Cam which was the number one class 8 truck engine choice for about a decade from the mid 70s to the mid 80s. The last year of production for the N14 series was 2001 with the N14 CELECT PLUS which came with the top painted in red, thus the nickname “red top cummins” and was rated at 525 hp. The complete red Signature 600 (600hp&2050lbs ft torque with chrome top)/ ISX (multiple power ratings, 1850lbs ft torque max, black top or all red) replaced the N14 series.
Beautiful cabover
Tim Gentry would love to have that truck
Love it! Just leave it the way it is. Buy it and just restore it !
thars a heavy duty cab, you can tell by angle of the hucks above the oil check door, light weight cabs have them in a straight line
The fairings look just fine on it. I don’t know what the big deal is with him wanting to always remove them.
Everyone has different tastes than others, and that’s a good thing, you got yours and he’s got his, and I’m in agreement with him, as I hate these fenders
@@shawnjarman9860 I realize that however they are there for a reason. It’s called fuel economy that everyone seems to moaning about so much these days.
@@P-J-W-777let’s be real, nobody is buying a 30 year old freightliner cabover for fuel economy haha.
Buy it Bruce and stretch it, absolutely.
Looks like an N14 I have a N14 but it’s a Red Top(Select).
M11.
Oh yes new cab over for sure, but like your mate said keep it a single axle.
"Green Hornet"
That's the name 🤜🤛🤣
I think you should buy that cab over It's pretty awesome.
I love this truck, Bruce! Yes, buy it.
Beautiful Rig Bruce
Buy it Bruce. It's a really nice old Cabover That would be perfect for pulling my 35 ft RV 5th wheel trailer with.
N14 select
Interesting seeing a US COE, not bad! Looked to be in really good condition. Also really liked what you did with the lights on the black truck, looking spiffy!
Edit: Oh and I think the COE should have it's wings still on, think it looks better with them.
Keep it original, all the way.
N14 celect, good engines and will run forever if maintained correctly
Buy it put it to the side and work on it when you finish your other projects. How often do you find a cab over that clean.
That is the real sound that you want to hear, wow...a sound from that engine....
Tow that big toy hauler with that beast
Early N14 Cummins probably 330-375 horse basically it’s a electronic big cam same block same heads ecm is very primitive basically it controls the fuel metering and runs the gauges and provides a data port it can be turned up a little if you can find someone who can still tune it
Hell yeah I would redo it over and it’s not much to do to make it right. And I am loving the name green collar man phase 2 of blue collar !!! Man go for it.!!
It’s a n14 bro very good engine
I'd leave it original Bruce
I'd love to drive it in the metro NE - used to drive the dual axle FLB and International 9600 series in the NE and would love to see the manouverabilty with an old 48' 96" trailer.
Freightliner Cabover - love this trucks. best regards from Germany
I think that is a nice project who else agree??
Buy it Bruce that’s a beautiful truck! I’m loving the color.
Dude just come to Australia already, we got everything you're into. You should look at importing something from here 😂
Gotta buy it Bruce! Ain't gonna get another one like that for sure in the shape it is in.
Leave the pig there👍🍻
You can never have to many projects 😂😊
That would be good for pulling a RV
u should defo get this truck Bruce really nice original truck
Green with envy!
money Shot! 🤘✌
Buy it
Looks like an n14
LOVE THE CONTENT BRO PLEASE I MISS THE WILL IT START VIDS
Deff buy it and stretch it...
Would look so sick painted in blue!!
Hi Bruce!
"Kungens kurva" in English is "The King's Curve" It's located south of Stockholm City.
I will try to swing by and say hi. I love that you bring Scania trucks to United States.
Best regards William
You can find good Scania trucks here in Sweden to bring over to the USA 🇺🇲
Buy it. Maybe stretch it a lil but not too much so as to keep as a single axle so it looks proportional. It'll be cool because not many single axle Freightliners around too. Maybe chuck a 13 speed in it. The cab wings look ok. My one's looked ugly until I raised them flush with roof.
That truck needs to be in your fleet
You'll just destroy it like the others, leave it where it is
Ek can do what ever he wants that truck
It’s an N 14 but not a select (red top) if it’s a 435 beside reprogramming the pump you would have to put different injectors in too
Looks like a great fifth wheel Toter
N14 Cummins. Great engines. Plenty of potential. Stretch it and leave it single axle
Love single axle COE. I’d like that for myself.
There is a european truck that might tickle your curiosity: in the eighties, Renault offered a 500hp model called the Magnum AE500...with a Mack V8 engine!
What’s funny is you sold the white cab over to someone in Virginia. This green freightliner looks to have an old Virginia inspection sticker on the passenger windshield.
Nice freight shaker definitely stretch it
If you buy it leave it alone do not destroy it do not do anything to it use it to pull the RV camera just listen Bruce You don't always have to change everything and alter stuff just leave it alone like Ryan said use it to pull your camper it's the right size to get in and out of RV parks without an issue
Bruce buy that perfect Freightliner for a project. Be well worth being almost daily driver!! Richard Perth Western Australia🇦🇺🇦🇺
That truck is sweet. Next giveaway?
6:53 - seek engine sound acceleration, subwoofer is a must!
That truck is to nice for bruce to tear up be a unfinshed p.o.s project like most of his builds
Yessss CUMMINS,its about time ya left that bloody scania alone for a bit.
Ya know im a cummins man bruce 💪🇺🇲🇫🇴
Looks like a M11. Would make a good toter for the toy hauler.
Freightliner cab on Scania chassis/running gear
i can't wait for Freightliner to bring back their cab overs back
Bruce you need some flashing lights on business expense, make her look "flashy" while shes going down the road... maybe a light bar on top?and i would love to see you have blue collars big bro, green dolla! Maybe another sled puller built?
Someone start chanting "buy it" over and over
Done
Fix it up keeper
Chant started lol
Buy it
Buy it
Some of your readers may remember a southwestern furniture chain called Umphreds Furniture and back in the 70's and 80's they had single axled green tractors and deep drop single axled 42' furniture vans they primarily ran K-100's but did have a couple Freightliner tractors like this, if you got a single axled furniture trailer you could make one hell of a toy hauler slash RV, myself I wouldn't change a thing on this as it is rare and mint, can't cut up everything, gotta leave some original iron original.
Paint it a peach color and call it peach cobbler!
I say go for it via stretcher and put a straight pipe on it and make it just like it was just like the Way blue-collar was
buy it, blue collar 2.0 please! love the content man keep up the hard work
It needs to be left as it is. It’s too nice to be messed with.
It’s amazing how old it looks compared to the Scanias.
That does look pretty sweet! How about trying to find the closest American cabover equivalent to your Scania, or, as a project idea, build up the closest thing you can to your Scania but as an American truck. That might get expensive though!
Grab the shifter’s handle below the switch, you can speed shift. You should drive an old tomato truck ( cab over no air ride no sleeper short frame ). It like a broking horse 😢😂by the way that is not a small sleeper. Small sleeper bed it about 30’ deep.mirror lights( chicken lights) to see the seat covers(driver) at night 😮.
Green freightliner very good 👍
