Great job man, i love watching you bring the old trucks back to life ! You need to get that old White cabover from James Pretty & bring it back to it's former glory.
Hendrickson use to be built on 47th street in near west suburban Lyons Illinois they got their cabs from I - H in Melrose Park Illinois Not too far away any how always loved those big lolipop turn signals out front awesome trucks wish you would give them more coverage
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE yeah Dane small production numbers like Hayes & Marmon &Brockway & Oshkosh & FWD & Chevy Heavies but since Hendrickson stopped heavy truck production and settled back in the Grand Rapids area of Mich, they still produce heavy Class 8 truck components Oh I forgot to mention Caterpillar trucks like Hendrickson they purchased their truck Cabs from I - H they only had about a 5 year Production run
Terrific gathering of trucks! It's not always quantity, because there are plenty of trucks there! But, quality takes the win every time! Those were all quality! That little pickup was tucked in with pride with it's bigger brothers and sisters! I've only seen bits and pieces on Hendrickson. So, that was a good segment for me! Your KW is ageless and classic. Clean from the frame rails to the top of the air cleaner and everywhere in between. Ride with pride. God bless and safe travels!
I remember the mufflers on the Hendrickson were used o Diamond Reo trucks... Cement mixers.. dumps etc..There was a company out of Youngstown Ohio who had a fleet of Diamond Reo trucks.
on the backroads going to Youngstown there was a diamond reo trucks dealership and a compnay called y,b,m that had a fleet of damond reo mixers since theywhere my favorite trucks of all time, and then brockways ,fords, gmc, chevys ,dodges etc
i used to drive GMC CRACKERBOX,with a 290 cummins? it was defiantly a 2 stroke, hauling TURF to Philly from upstate NY...loved seeing that white / grey truck parked next to bill////cant remember the make////drivin me nuts...thanks for the GOOD NEWS....i have a new respect for you,Dane.
Thomas, Detroit Diesel made 2 stroke engines. Cummins used a blower similar to the Detroit. Detroit did have a 290 horsepower a 8V71 an in line 6 would have been a 238 horsepower
Hey driver! I wish I had your energy and artistic ability!! That air dam on top made that beautiful k100 look better!! As a truck driver myself I think I love trucks as much as you do! Good job on truck...10-4 driver im gone!
Ten fir there driva thank ya and we gots a great passion goin. Remember when those foils were everywhere in the 70-80s? Good days indeed. Keep the hamma down safe and sound… 3s on ya weGawn. 😬
Both blueberry bill and blue jay are beautiful trucks I have always been a big fan of the 8V series engines I'd love to be able to buy blue jay unfortunately I had to retire medically from driving a truck after 25 years I'm third generation grew up in these cabovers and owned a few of myself I had a 72 Freightliner 350 Cummins 13 speed and a '83 Freightliner double bunk 400 big cam 13 I really have always thought I'd love to have an old cab over to play with so I could drive around and have that feeling again you know the one that's in your blood I miss it everyday seeing some of your videos driving down the road like this one when you were driving blueberry bill In a way it hurts and another way it puts me back in the driver's seat so I appreciate those videos wish you nothing but luck buddy keep the rubber side down and don't run with a frown
Wow what a pedigree you have. My hat is tipped to you Driva. As far as driving BJ or any antique truck you don’t need a CDL if it’s registered Historical. Would love to hear your story. 😬
I appreciate it brother I heard that about historical plates but never know for sure if it was true My other issue is if I had a nice pretty antique truck I wouldn't want to leave it outside lol Don't have room for inside My story is not really that impressive My grandpa drove a truck 35 years My dad drove a truck 48 years I grew up bouncing around in cabovers I started driving in 1998 at the age of 18 drove all the way up until 2022 I always say 25 years is technically 24 and a half had to have three vertebrae removed out of my back and I have severe nerve damage in my right leg I still drove for 10 more years after this but unfortunately my increasing inability to walk well and distance has taken me out of the truck for good I can still drive them though technically just can't handle the job so well I very much enjoy watching you drive those beautiful trucks I wish I was in the driver's seat keep doing what you're doing brother keep us road hard and put up wet antiques going unfortunately it's in my blood and it always will be there'll never be a day that I don't miss gear jamming knew I was going to be a driver since I was 3 years old I feel like it's been my whole life identity and has taken away by the way love the mustang 2 king cobra I think the gold and lime green look amazing and you did a heck of a job with your pinstripe work I am also a very big classic car fan and that's what I do now on the side is buy and sell classic cars
O-H-I-O Porters 🇺🇸 Hey buddy! Just now getting to this video. WOW! That windbreaker is so cool & the truck is top notch! WOW! Good job on the paint. I like some of Honda’s paint colors, too. Dodge has a good shade of blue…Atlantic Blue perhaps. Gotta get a ride in it some time. Hope you enjoyed the ride there & back, even though it got a bit wet & dirty. Some wonderful trucks at that show! Did the back of the Hendrickson have vents on the back of the cab? I’ve seen that truck before, but never noticed those. Such a cool truck! And I loved the Lonestars as well! They look like the old style conventionals of the 50s. Looking forward to the next segment. Blessings! 🥰🤩✌️
Where did you get your hat "Patchell Group of Companies" Dane? I just about fell off my chair when I saw that, Dane's wearing a hat from down here in little ol New Zealand.
Glad you enjoyed that. It was part of a wonderful “care package” I received from one of your countrymen recently. Thanks for watching from “DownUndda” 😊
