The most underrated James Bond, Bond Villain, and Bond Film. It’s become one of my favorites. Honestly every time I watch it I keep saying to myself, Quantum of Solace should have taken notes from this movie about how to do a ruthless angry James Bond that’s gone rogue and out for revenge.
I thought I was the only one that believed Dalton's 2 Bonds are like 4-5 of each of the other actors. Those 2 Bond movies were definitely the best and Casino and Skyfall were Dalton movies 20 years later IMO.
Underrated James Bond movie, one of the best Bond movies in my opinion, Timothy Dalton is great as James Bond. Robert Davi is great as Sanchez, and Talisa Soto is one of the hottest Bond girls
One of the best, unfortunately the film was released alongside Indiana Jones and the last crusade, lethal weapon 2, batman and back to the future 2, hence the reason why the bond films were released in the latter half of the year.
It's underrated because at the time people were confused. They were so used to Bond being humorous and over the top, that a darker Bond felt jarring to them. They clearly didn't know that this is how Fleming envisioned Bond, so they wrote Dalton off as a knock-off of more serious action heroes. Then, these mediocre reviews stopped majority of people from watching it. Nowadays, Bond fans in particular are starting to see that this Bond was ahead of his time. I'm happy to see that LD and LTK are getting love that they deserve.
This is my favorite Bond film - because they made so many choices that run against the average Bond film. Violence, swearing, Bond seeking revenge instead of trying to stop some plan to take over the world, a Bond girl who takes action
Dalton portrayed bond how it was meant to be portrayed. A dark, serious take on the character that I actually like. Living daylights is my favorite Dalton flick but this one is good as well. Ashamed we never got to see Golden eye with Dalton. 😪
Totally agree with you. Dalton in Goldeneye would have made the film one of my top five favourites. Seriously where were all you Dalton Bond fans 25 years ago when I needed you?
@@spaceodds1985 Apparently at the time of Goldeneye's production there was a rumour that Dalton was asked back for Goldeneye and declined, as it had been 5 years since Licence To kill's production had finished and Dalton thought for a new decade there should be a new Bond. But it would have been great to have Dalton in Goldeneye he's my favourite Bond. Licence To kill was the first Bond film I saw in the cinema. My father and brother had to try and hide me while going through the cinema screen door from the usher as the film was rated 15 in the U.K. as I was only 10 years old at the time in 1989 and taking someone below the age rating is not allowed in the U.K.
Jay jay's World brosnan was not that dark, he was just action action action. He had his dark moments but I think that’s because he was more of an action bond. His era of movies were more towards action than story or character development. Not bashing the Brosnan, his movies were good popcorn flicks, but I personally like Sean Connery, Daniel craig and dalton
@@arunashamal I think that is why Goldeneye was Brosnan's best Bond film, it was kinda clear that they were thinking of Dalton's portrayal of Bond when writing it. It is a shame that they didn't keep that up since Brosnan could have been a far, far better Bond if he had better movies to work with.
I'm so glad to see this movie and Dalton get some appreciation. This is one of my top 5 favorite Bond films and I've always felt that Dalton was criminally underrated. The audience just wasn't ready for his more serious take on the character. They needed another 20 years.
It depends which book, because like the films they veer abruptly in tone. But the books where Fleming gives us a cynical Bond who's fed up and ready to snap, Dalton captures that perfectly. Better even than Craig in my opinion, though Craig is very good and a big improvement on Brosnan who I never really fell in love with. He was fine, but a bit vanilla and he looked more like a catalogue model than a guy who could beat you to death with your own shoes.
As for Roger Moore, say what you want about his portrayal of Bond, the man joined a series and left a legacy. Not all his films are great, but he proved that not only Sean Connery was James Bond, but other actors can also be. A titan of the series IMO.
@@gideonMorrison Its not a matter of good or bad bond, its a matter of preference. We, the RM-Bond fan-base prefer the play boy who was a good agent rather than those good agents, who pretended to be play boys ....

Remember in The Living Daylights when he says “If he [M] fires me, I’ll thank him for it”... well Ladies and Gentlemen meet James Bond, the anti hero that Fleming created, a man of cynicism, intelligence and contradictions. An assassin who hates cold blooded murder, yet takes pride in his job. A man who has to be cold hearted, and yet is filled with rage and anger when a friend or ally is dealt a death blow. In Living Daylights when he thanks Saunders at the Prater Cafe, you see the gratitude, and then when Saunders is killed he is horrified and sad, but when Bond sees the balloon with the words Smiert Spionem... the rage he displays shows his humanity. Not one Bond can do that. Dalton IMO made Bond a flawed and interesting character.
Umair ashraf Connery was suave, Moore was humorous, Lazenby was physical, and Craig followed from Dalton and made the role his own by injecting it with arrogance and humour.
Dalton is the reason I enjoy Bond. He's my favorite. I saw "The Living Daylights" in a theater in Mexico. The name was changed to: "Mi Nombre es Peligro" (My Name is Danger). I thought that's what all Bond movie could be called.
Nailed this one Chris!! I saw film back in the day and thought, "This Bond was Different'! Edgy, violent and intense beyond! Dalton did some great work in both his portrayals of Bond, and he remains one of my Favs!
I'm one to like The Living Daylights over this outing. I loved the whole girl with the cello and found the story, gags, sequences, characters to be more interesting. One of my favorite Bonds, even if it drags a bit in some places. Timothy Dalton was a great Bond and I wish we had more than 2 with him.
I bet the director of Casino Royale took huge inspiration with License to Kill :) Thank you for encouraging me to watch this movie, cause I never knew this was a more darker Bond movie before we got to Craig's films
Living Daylight will always be the bond closest to my heart. I think because it might have been the first one I saw as a child AND because of the scenes in Vienna, m home town. I geeked out so hard during the scenes on the Giant's Wheel because I've been there. I really think Bond and the cellist were one of the better and more believable Bond romances and to me Dalton is the first bond that to me came across as no sleeze with the women.
When I first watched all the Bond movies. I liked Licence better than Daylights.. but over the years, I've come to like Living Daylight better than this movie....
I love Living Daylights. It's a really compelling cold war spy film about defectors and double agents. Could have been a 60s Connery film. Living Daylights also has one of my favorite fights in any Bond film...awesome henchman/assassin Necros vs the British safe house servant. That sequence is so well staged and brutal looking. Necros is a fantastic presence in the film, which it needs because Whitaker and Koskov are both a bit too comical as the two lead villains. Koskov is a great character though.
Timothy Dalton Still Remains my favorite James Bond. I like that his movies were a little grittier and he was more like the James Bond from Ian Fleming's novels.
Timothy Dalton is my favorite Bond and I really like his two movies. He was always to be short lived while they waited for Pierce's contract on another contract to expire.
Love Dalton - never got enough credit in this role. He comes off like a PTSD vet with one kill left in him before he cracks. Love that scene between M and Bond: M: “Oh spare me this sentimental rubbish. He (Leiter) knew the risks.” Bond: “And his wife?”
I think the tanker chase is one of the better chases in cinema and certainly the rare one to even challenge the truck chase from Raiders of the Lost Ark in terms of pure spectacle and danger. I love this film despite it’s faults.
Mr. Dalton as Bond! Got to give it to the casting directors on this one! The guy was made for the role, what a badass! The public never knew what was coming.... they weren't ready for the legend
It's Cubby Broccoli who deserves the credit for the decision, he'd had Dalton flagged as a potential Bond since The Lion In Winter. Dalton was even offered the role for OHMSS but declined as he felt he was too young at the time.
I agree 100%. This film was underrated. Top 5 of the Bond films. Plot was grounded. The women were the hottest of the franchise. Wayne Newton nuff said! "Bless your heart!"
Ditto but it still sucks when the roof of your garage rips half off ... Or destroys the fence in your front yard and takes out a giant oak. Let’s just say the fact that my house has not been torn down is a miracle.
I freakin love James bond movies. And I'm stoked you're highlighting how good Timothy Dalton was in the role. I've watched the whole lot twice I think. Might be about to time to get ready for a round three off that back of these reviews.
if any of you guys are proper bond fans, i highly recommend watching the 'everything or nothing' documentary... really insightful look into what was going on behind the scenes throughout the franchise's history
If any of you fans are interested in Bond and the Dalton era, read the pictorial book Inside The Living Daylights. Also I would strongly recommend the book Some Kind of Hero. The latter book is a brilliant and informative account of the BTS of all the Bond films. It also gives allusions that Dalton was let go by MGM/UA and that Broccoli and the producers were adamant at keeping him on.
You didn’t even mention Michael Kamen’s score. The guy who scored Die Hard 1-3 and all the Lethal Weapon movies, and he turned out one of the best sounding Bond scores ever. His theme for the gunbarrel at the start is fantastic! Not to mention the outstanding vocals of Gladys Knight for the movie’s song, one of the better Bond themes IMO!
I agree with you on Timothy Dalton's James Bond movies. I think that "The Living Daylights" has been the James Bond with the most influence on me as a child. This one too...
seriously. why Chris doesn't review those kind of masterclass movies, when he has all the time in the world? (it's worth more than Trolls: World Tour) I really want to listen his point of view on There Will Be Blood
I remember reading in Tom Soter's "Bond and Beyond: 007 And Other Special Agents" how License To Kill was actually supposed to star Mel Gibson, the Producers fashioned a Bond Flick with Joel Silver type Lethal Weapon action and mayhem, they even signed Michael Kamen (who did the score to the Lethal Weapon 2) to score License to Kill. The idea was to get Gibson to guide the Bond Franchise into the 90's, which explains the Lethal Weapon type violence you see in License to Kill. The Sharkey character would've been played by Danny Glover had Mel Gibson gotten the 007 part, making his death that much more important. Don't know who would've played Felix Leiter (Carl Weathers?) .... I also read somewhere how even though he had been signed for a multiple picture deal, Dalton wasn't a lock to repeat as Bond, eventually Gibson passed on the project forcing the Producers to go back to Dalton to portray Bond.
Nolan’s a pretty big Bond fan. The entire snow sequence in Inception was his homage to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Would love to see Nolan take on Bond one day
I just watched License to Kill again yesterday. It is seriously underrated. When I was a child, I wasn't really allowed to watch it... but I did anyway, then regretted it after the scene where that dude's head explodes. Made me stop watching. Wasn't ready for it at the time. A few years later, rewatched it and made it to the end! Enjoyed it. (That truck wheelie though... haha) I don't get to watch the film too often compared to other Bond films, so when I do get to watch it (like yesterday), it's a treat!
I rewatched all the Bond movies in 2019 and Dalton's films (whom I hadn't heard of or seen until then) ended up being two more of my favorite Bond movies. I love the style here and I bet some niche, classic anime took influence from them specifically. I feel it
Another thing I love about Timothy Dalton’s Bond in this movie, is when he’s in a life or death situation hanging from a machine that can kill him, he doesn’t give a smart wisecrack after killing the henchman like Roger Moore’s Bond, he just straight up shouts “SWITCH THE BLOODY MACHINE OFF!!!”
Always imagined Leiter being high on morphine when he calls Bond at the end, never quite liked that scene Apart from that, fantastic film, Dalton was a terrific Bond and Davi was a splendid villain Director John Glen really doesn’t get enough credit for shaping Bond to the one we know today, the 007 films he directed all had some of the best stunts I’ve ever seen put on film
This movie and Timothy Dalton are both criminally underrated. To me Dalton is the 2nd best Bond after Connery, and this movie is one of the 5 best movies. I wish we would have gotten more Dalton Bond flicks. I also have that same boxset that he does in the background
Just finished watching this again for the zillionth time and my order like everyone else's has shuffled around a lot over the years but this has always been a mainstay of the top 10. Solid top 5 right now
Fun fact: The scene where Felix is found maimed with a note that says “He disagreed with something that ate him” is actually taken from the Ian Fleming Bond novel Live and Let Die where the same thing happens to Felix. Mr. Big is the reason for Felix’s injury instead.
I think the public would've been more ready for Dalton's take on Bond if he had started with the first 80s Bond film, For Your Eyes Only. If you take a look at all the actors besides Dalton and Moore, and Lazenby because he got one film, you'll notice most of their films were from a certain decade and at least one was from the next. For example: Connery, most of his films were from the 60s, but his last movie came out in 1971. Pierce Brosnan, three of his films were from the 90s, and Die Another Day was in 2002. Daniel Craig, while having played Bond for two decades, his last film is coming out during the beginning of 2020, a new decade. Moore and Dalton are the outliers here because Moore continued into the 80s and I'm pretty sure that diverted people's expectations for a new actor they have to get used to playing Bond. In short, Timothy's Bond had no room to grow because of Moore's.
The truck chase scene felt like a homage to “Duel”. One of my favourite bonds. Watching this around 10 years old for the first time and thinking, wow this stands out from the others. So raw.
This is low key one of my favorite Bond movies. From Timothy Dolton’s portrayal, to the “unlicensed” kills, to Gladys Knights James Bond theme song Licensed Kill( which sounds very Shirley Basssey in tone)! This movie used to be on heavy rotation on cable back in the day and no matter where in the movie I would catch it, I could sit down and watch the rest of the movie.... did James Bond just feed a mfer to a shark? YESSSSSS! And isn’t that the Mfer that sings Danke Shoen? Bueller...
Both great films, but I got to give the edge to License To Kill because it is the only Bond film that doesn’t feel like a Bond film 🎞. I imagine in my mind that he never went back to MI6 after this, and just stayed rouge
I've always thought this was one of the most underrated Bond films, even way back when I was a kid and got the box set on VHS. I was also a big Brosnan fanboy, courtesy of Goldeneye, but even so I still thought Dalton was awesome.
Nice video. I love both of Dalton's films but Licence to Kill is incredible, thought it felt very alienating back in the day. The tanker sequence is one of the best action scenes of the whole series.
Timothy Dalton has always been my favorite Bond. I love how human he feels. It’s such a shame he came at a time when people were used to silly Roger Moore so they never gave him a chance.
The Daltonator is my second-favourite Bond, and my this was my first Bond film. It still stands up and it was such a shock when I went back and discovered the Roger Moore version of 007. Totally agree with Chris that Dalton, along with Connery and Craig, feels like Flemming's Bond - you have to respect his commitment to the role, reading the novels on set. Licence took chances with the formula and has aged well for it. Great review, Chris. I like the fact that you referenced the fact that the Dalton films brought back this idea of 'consequences' for 007; that you believe everything could be f***ed at any moment.
Watch On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and every Bond movie leading up to this, Bond never really got a proper revenge for his wife Tracy’s death It wasn’t just revenge for Felix he was after. When Sanchez brutalised the Leiters, Bond’s past trauma and pent up rage basically resurfaced and he unleashed it all on Sanchez Absolutely brilliant
This is one of the best James Bond movies imo, he is actually a real person instead of a stupid womanizer who think they can bang any woman at any time, keep the bond movies gritty and grounded in the modern world, not like the one in the sean connery and roger moore era, which I love as a child, but when you grow up, james bond movies like this makes more sense, Timothy dalton deserved alot of praise for this.
Have to agree, Dalton is underrated. Before people got mad about Craig Daniels being cast, there was Dalton. The two most controversial castings are the greatest, with the possible exception of Connery, of course. I can't help but think though, if Dalton had stayed with it, the scripts wouldn't have gotten either campier or more far fetched, as they seem to always do after the first couple of movies with each new Bond.
There is no doubt nor question that Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig are the two joint best Bonds period. The only ones closest to the literary character and the most realistic and human. It is utterly heartbreaking that Dalton didn’t get another film or two because you can tell he really put his heart and soul into the role and took it seriously. Kinda makes sense considering he was the only Bond actor who was a classically trained Shakespearean actor.
Craig was bond from the novels only in casino royale and skyfall but the last 2 DEFINITELY NOT he basically became the serious version of movie bond and in the last one he did everything Bond from the novels would NEVER ever do

I liked this movie and Dalton. When he got a beating he looked liked he had a beating, he didn't appear invincible and I liked it for that reason.

My father and brother had to try and hide me while going through the cinema screen door from the usher as the film was rated 15 in the U.K. as I was only 10 years old at the time in 1989 and taking someone below the age rating is not allowed in the U.K.
spaceodds 1985 yeah same goldeneye is hands down the best brosnan era bond film
Prelude Boy 99 yeah dalton is 100 times darker than any bond except for brosnan and Craig
I feel sorry for Dalton, try to imagine Dalton in Casino Royale and Skyfall, Dalton would be legend.
Ka Wang Kwok now there’s a Thaought!
Imagine he is in Goldeneye... which almost happened!!
@AtomicPickle1 Agreed 100%
Agreed, he really deserved better behind the scene's talent rather than Roger Moore's tired crew
I'm so glad to see this movie and Dalton get some appreciation. This is one of my top 5 favorite Bond films and I've always felt that Dalton was criminally underrated. The audience just wasn't ready for his more serious take on the character. They needed another 20 years.
Dalton is an underrated Bond. He was brooding, dark Bond before Craig. Just a little ahead of his time for the darkness.
Cooper Carter 👍
They say Timothy Dalton is the closest to what Bond is in the books.
Really?
@@mallorywingate103 yes sir.
@@josephnicolino8529 I'm a girl
Sorry, yes ma'am.
I love Licence's to Kill and like Timothy Dalton as Bond and wish he got more chances to play him.
Jokerz 79 he was on board waiting around for 5 years till like 1994. MGM’s financial problems kept the movies from being made until GoldenEye

As for Roger Moore, say what you want about his portrayal of Bond, the man joined a series and left a legacy. Not all his films are great, but he proved that not only Sean Connery was James Bond, but other actors can also be. A titan of the series IMO.
Doesn't matter what critics and Chris say, Roger Moore is the first name that comes to my mind when i hear James Bond.

Most underrated Bond actor and Bond film!
What about the other bonds?
Umair ashraf Connery was suave, Moore was humorous, Lazenby was physical, and Craig followed from Dalton and made the role his own by injecting it with arrogance and humour.

Dalton is the reason I enjoy Bond. He's my favorite. I saw "The Living Daylights" in a theater in Mexico. The name was changed to: "Mi Nombre es Peligro" (My Name is Danger). I thought that's what all Bond movie could be called.
I was 15 and saw "The Living Daylights" in the theater in Tel Aviv while the rest of my tour group walked around shops on Disengoff St.
Living Daylights is surely a hard name for translations. Here in Brazil it was called "Marcado para a morte" (Marked for Death)
Timothy dalton is really truly an underrated James Bond tho , I’d truly give him tremendous credit and respect for doing this role
I bet the director of Casino Royale took huge inspiration with License to Kill :)
Thank you for encouraging me to watch this movie, cause I never knew this was a more darker Bond movie before we got to Craig's films
It also has an awesome score!!
@@earlchatterton9133 yea... that agent was surprisingly competent for a background character in a spy movie
This is exactly how I feel
Timothy Dalton Still Remains my favorite James Bond. I like that his movies were a little grittier and he was more like the James Bond from Ian Fleming's novels.
Timothy Dalton is my favorite Bond and I really like his two movies. He was always to be short lived while they waited for Pierce's contract on another contract to expire.
The intro is classic. Chris just being real and being himself. You gotta love this guy. Great review Chris. 😃✌🏽
Love Dalton - never got enough credit in this role. He comes off like a PTSD vet with one kill left in him before he cracks.
Love that scene between M and Bond:
M: “Oh spare me this sentimental rubbish. He (Leiter) knew the risks.”
Bond: “And his wife?”
"..Resulted in a Tornado Warning."

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and... dodge.
Where can you find that?
Cross Infini i bought the dvd from amazon, but i think i’ve seen digital copies advertised
Not to mention the 30-40 minute mini-documentaries for each film found on the DVDs!
If any of you fans are interested in Bond and the Dalton era, read the pictorial book Inside The Living Daylights. Also I would strongly recommend the book Some Kind of Hero. The latter book is a brilliant and informative account of the BTS of all the Bond films. It also gives allusions that Dalton was let go by MGM/UA and that Broccoli and the producers were adamant at keeping him on.
spaceodds 1985 Yup! I have the book, great read.
1:52 Franz Sanchez is not Colombian. He is from a fictional Central American country called the Republic of Isthmus based on Panama.
I've always loved this one ever since it was in theaters. Dalton is my second favorite Bond almost solely because of this film.
"Living Daylights" by A-ha is my fav Bond opening song.
I've got to grown to apreciate Dalton as 007. Now, next to Craig, he's my favourite.

Timothy Dalton is cool as Bond. Living The Daylights has the best and bad ass music score
Licence to Kill is easily one of my top 5 favorite James Bond movies
Dalton played Bond as a man on the edge, one who'd given his all for Queen and country and was little more than a tool for killing their enemies.
Haha the oh shit at the beginning is everything. Dalton is such a powerhouse. Between this and Hot Fuzz he has a place in my heart.
I just rewatched this after many years. This one was ahead if its time.
One of my favourite Bond films and the one that cemented Dalton as my favourite Bond.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up that the opening of License to Kill is the sequence that inspired the opening of The Dark Knight Rises!
And Skyhook at the end of Thunderball was probably the inspiration for Skyhook in TDK.
And the Jokers's boot knife was an homage to From Russia with Love.
Mark Kobylinski Oh yes. The first time I watched TDK, I was worried that Batman just got poisoned.
Nolan’s a pretty big Bond fan. The entire snow sequence in Inception was his homage to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Would love to see Nolan take on Bond one day
@@delc4387 I think my favorite homage is Burton double teaming the climaxes of North By Northwest and Vertigo into the finale of BATMAN 89
Timothy was great he had that mature gentle man vibes about him. Loved him what a refined English man.
I just always remember the way Timothy Dalton sneers "old buddy." Tee hee.
Licence To Kill is actually rated R, the PG-13 version is an edited one with scenes removed.
Has anyone seen the “uncut” workprint version of The Living Daylights? Apparently it’s much better than the official release.
ImBateman I only saw the gun barrel. It’s Dalton doing a jump like Bob Simmons did in the first three Connery films
How does one see this version?
I just watched License to Kill again yesterday.
It is seriously underrated.
When I was a child, I wasn't really allowed to watch it... but I did anyway, then regretted it after the scene where that dude's head explodes. Made me stop watching. Wasn't ready for it at the time.
A few years later, rewatched it and made it to the end! Enjoyed it. (That truck wheelie though... haha)
I don't get to watch the film too often compared to other Bond films, so when I do get to watch it (like yesterday), it's a treat!
Yeah, I'm older and it shook *me* when I saw it. But did you see the censured VHS or the uncut as a kid?
I rewatched all the Bond movies in 2019 and Dalton's films (whom I hadn't heard of or seen until then) ended up being two more of my favorite Bond movies. I love the style here and I bet some niche, classic anime took influence from them specifically.
I feel it
Timothy Dalton is my favorite James Bond. He had that perfect balance of charm, coldness, and humanity.
Dalton is not only an underrated Bond, but an underrated actor as well.
"There might be a laser coming for Bond's crotch-" Sexual assault lasers.
😥😢😭
ha ha
Always imagined Leiter being high on morphine when he calls Bond at the end, never quite liked that scene
Apart from that, fantastic film, Dalton was a terrific Bond and Davi was a splendid villain
Director John Glen really doesn’t get enough credit for shaping Bond to the one we know today, the 007 films he directed all had some of the best stunts I’ve ever seen put on film
This movie and Timothy Dalton are both criminally underrated. To me Dalton is the 2nd best Bond after Connery, and this movie is one of the 5 best movies. I wish we would have gotten more Dalton Bond flicks. I also have that same boxset that he does in the background
I will miss Dalton and Affleck after their best and underrated portrayal of James Bond and The Batman 😭😭😭
I think Dalton would have made an amazing Batman or Iron Man when he was younger
Another fun fact is that David Hedison who played Felix Leiter in Licence to Kill also played Felix in the movie Live and Let Die. :)
Licence to Kill is probably my 2nd favorite Bond film behind Casino. Dalton is the man in this.
Bueller...
I liked “The Living Daylights” better.
Same here. Licence To Kill is a tad too close to what Cannon Films was producing at the time.
Both great films, but I got to give the edge to License To Kill because it is the only Bond film that doesn’t feel like a Bond film 🎞.

Man I've been trying to get people to watch this one for years.

God I love Timothy's bond. I wish we could've gotten one more out of him. But his films are my favorite bond films.
Watch On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and every Bond movie leading up to this, Bond never really got a proper revenge for his wife Tracy’s death
It wasn’t just revenge for Felix he was after. When Sanchez brutalised the Leiters, Bond’s past trauma and pent up rage basically resurfaced and he unleashed it all on Sanchez
Absolutely brilliant
Perfectly said
This is one of the best James Bond movies imo, he is actually a real person instead of a stupid womanizer who think they can bang any woman at any time, keep the bond movies gritty and grounded in the modern world, not like the one in the sean connery and roger moore era, which I love as a child, but when you grow up, james bond movies like this makes more sense, Timothy dalton deserved alot of praise for this.

@@southlondon86 I haven't seen the movie. I've only heard the song and had my eyes exposed to Timothy Dalton.

"I hope you don't snore Q". A great quote to lighten things up a little. Some even say Dalton was bad on one liner comedic moments. I didn't.
I never was the biggest Dalton fan, but that changed when I did a full Bond rewatch last year. Especially The Living Daylights is a great film.
Craig was bond from the novels only in casino royale and skyfall but the last 2 DEFINITELY NOT he basically became the serious version of movie bond and in the last one he did everything Bond from the novels would NEVER ever do
Not even close. Brosnan and Connery demolish Dalton. He doesnt even belong in the conversation

@@mohammedashian8094 lol, as a Dalton fan you're the last to talk about everybody's opinion.
