Thank you for the tutorial on Geraniums. It really explains alot and now I know not to over water them.
Glad you are learning! Thanks for watching.
Thumbs up friend! Those geraniums do appreciate a clean and tidy bed. Especially those HUGE hanging baskets that have multiple plants in them.

I love geraniums my dad use to always put them out on cemetery Graves and I always thought they are not going to last but they held up pretty good. Now I now. Thanks for the information. 😊
Thank you SO much! I’ve avoided geraniums in the past because I didn’t know how to properly deadhead the spent blooms, and on and on. I’ll definitely be giving them another try after watching this!
Glad it helped! Give them another try.
I always thought we were supposed to put the dead stuff into the dirt for composting. Thank you for the information!
The geraniums don't like it, so best to pull it out.
Just the advice I was looking for pertaining to geranium care. Thank you.
Glad it helped. Thank you for watching!

That was the red in the Rocky Mountain series. They are fantastic!
Even though they are dormant during winter, do I still water them? As my mother leaves hers in the pot during winter. And if I water them, how often in winter please.
I’m taking care of geraniums at my sisters wedding venue there potted an watching your Video sure helped me learn some things it took me half day cleaning them up I think they were browning from being too wet an a lot of the pots are on there patio not in full sun is that ok or should I pull them out to sun when a wedding isn’t going on
If you can get them into the sun that is where they will do best.
Thank you for this 🌹🌷🌻
Thanks for watching!
How come walking around in San Gabriel, California, there are huge geranium bushes everywhere seemingly for landscaping without any care other than watering?
Where can I find more info on your fertilizer? Also what companion annuals work well with geraniums? Cause I planted plants that like water. So would like to do better next year. Thank you, very helpful.
You find our Beat Your Neighbor fertilizer at www.BeatYourNeighbor.com and a video that has companion ideas with geraniums is here: ruclips.net/video/gF8FKDJaGMg/видео.html&ab_channel=BeatYourNeighborPlantFood%26Fertilizer
Do you have geranium pests in the USA? We have a geranium moth that lays it eggs on the leaves, which then die.
We personally do not have troubles with pests on our petunias, but we practice preventative care and always use a systemic insecticide to stop any problems before they start.
QUESTION: If I have self watering window boxes do I put the beat your neighbor in the water reservoir or should I fertilize from the top only?
I would fertilize them from the top so that the nutrients are getting pulled in from the top down.
Can you repot the geranium to your planter? And should you squeeze the root when reporting or not?
Yes you can repot them. We do not do anything to the roots.
@@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses will it damage the flower if the roots were touch like squeezing it before putting it in the pot?
@@love-st8qm No, the roots will be fine.
I have coco liners would it be an idea to poke holes in the bottom so it candrain
Please give us a fertilizer for them u suggest
Our Beat Your Neighbor fertilizer is available here: www.beatyourneighbor.com
Have never understood how to fertilize. Do I water the plant first then add fertilizer . How much fertilized water do you put in plant. One cup 2 cups or until plant is fairly wet. Same as if you were watering without fertilizer
Our video on fertilizing is here: ruclips.net/video/J1dOM8L6A44/видео.html
My geraniums are out on my deck in pots, how in the world do you keep them from being wet when it rains every other minute? I went out at 10 at night and brought mine in because I watered them yesterday and fertilized. Then it rained today and it's raining tomorrow. can't win. 😩
Yes, that is a struggle with continuous rain. There isn't really a good way.
What to do if geraniums are over fertilized , the blooms are tight and don’t fully open.
Why do my geraniums lose there leaves and are bare stems half way up by mid summer?
Stressed from something...care, watering, wrong spot, not feeding. Somewhere there is a problem that your plants are are telling you about.
Hi! I love geraniums and always had very good luck with them. However, this year I'm desperate need of help.. I have 4 window boxes and they are placed in full sun. For some reason the larger leaves curls up, turn brown on the outer edges and die. I snip them off but it never fails, 2 days later more leaves are curling and turning brown.. I notice that the leaves are curling more in the afternoon when the sun is the strongest but as you say, they love the sun so it cannot be that. I use a moisture tester before watering them, so, they are not overwatered or underwatered . I fertilized them with a super bloom 12-55-6. Any ideas of what can be wrong with them? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you...
If they go too dry they will curl.
Water the bottom, not on the plant.
How many geraniums in that basket please x
We usually plant 5 in a 12" basket.
@@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses thanks pal x
Does this apply to scented geraniums
CAN U JUST PLUCK OUT BAD TOP BLOOMS AN NOT SNAP THEM OFF OF GERANIUM
Yes, you can pluck out the spent individual petals on the flowers if the entire thing still has some life to it yet.
This was very helpful! I've been overwatering and didn't know it until your video. I also put them in the shade today because we are in the low 90s. I'm moving them back into the sun right now. I'll start fertilizing weekly, as well. Look forward to following your channel! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! We do have several geranium care videos here on our channel that you can check out.
