I really like the magnetic mounting idea and the fit looks great as well. I was thinking that my body Marcduino would be fine on the main electronics board but the more time I spend working on the board, the better a remote mount is sounding.
I think the best way to get it to work would be to use something like a DB-25 multipin connector to create a single, reliable disconnect point for all the servos (though with 9 servos, you'd need 27 pins). It's not easy connecting the servos to the MD board especially in tight spaces. In my dome, rather than connect ten 3x1 connectors (1 for each servo), I rewired them into three 10x1 connectors. It was better/easier that way, but even so - connecting and disconnecting directly on the MD board seems risky/dangerous. If you've got room for a big connector somewhere on your board, that would be a decent compromise.
@Jason Charlton It's still early days for me when it comes to the servos. I've only installed the two that go under the shoulder supports at this point. Another thing to research.
