If you only spend $155 on leisure then I salute you, for you have the discipline of a German citizen during WWII
I bought a squire stratocaster for $50 after 1 year I can play pretty much any beatles song. My art has improved too. A pen and paper is cheap and modest. if the door is locked make a new door and open it. I saved 23k in 2023. Ill have saved 100k by 27 without my parents help or guidance.
We Albertans welcome anyone who wants to come here. I as an Edmontontonian who lives here for 65 years , welcomes anybody, for those individuals who don't want to come here , no one is forcing you to do that. Rudeness and put down of other people's home only makes you look bad, foolish and childish.
And everyone you just invited can live with you.😏
@@kingklank6732 and bull shit back at you. If the shoe fits, wear it.
Speak for yourself. We are full.
@@modestacattaruzza7400 what?
My god I'm having a stroke!
@@kingklank6732 you don't understand my meaning at all. I meant those Canadian citizen who live in other province are already here are welcome; however; if they come here and start to bitching, complaining, start to put my hometown down 👇👎, no one is forcing anything to stay. Get out and take your rudness ang negative thinking with you on your way out. That's exactly what I meant!!
Not even close! I’ve been living in Edmonton since 1982 and the cost of living here has gone up exponentially especially over the last couple years! Utilities, especially. Groceries oh my Lord… And forget about dining out! Even McDonald’s has gotten so expensive I don’t go there anymore! Despite the cost, though, Edmonton is a great city to live in!❤
1982! I was not even born then and have lived in several countries on 3 different continents so far, I cannot imagine living in the same place for such a long time, kudos 2 U!
We pay $400 per month for Groceries and live very comfortably. We're a family of 3.
Where do you shop.
@@Mohankeneh Wal-Mart. They have good quality products. Very popular among Canadian shoppers.
$350 groceries ? That would be a dream come true.
For one person
For a family of 3 here
I need help finding a rental. It's very expensive here
For my family 2 adult 3 teenage girls n boy without rent or mortgage in Edmonton cost me 4K a month.
$350 groceries? Who are you feeding a toddler lol.
🤣
My little basket full of groceries cost 200$ a shopping cart full is like a down payment for a motorcycle
If that's for a month, not quite enough. Here in Ottawa, if you rely on food banks, you can do that. Groceries have doubled in price over last few months.
I'm from Edmonton and I'm desperate to relocate even to another country, I'm over the city the crime the potholes the gangs the housing issues
The crime rate in Edmonton is HIGH!? Like USA dangerous level!?
$1950 ??!!! Its not cost of living its cost of staying alive ....
you need to have at least 3500 to survive. 1950 is a joke. hahahahha.
Groceries 350? What dream world you living in
That's the cost of groceries if you're only living on one meal a day, and/or just bread and cheese.
Also not sure what qualifies as "leisure" either, but utilities will probably spike in price soon too.
Yikes. We’re a family of 4 in a Toronto Suburb. We pay ~ $800 for groceries. And it’s not like we’re chubby. That number is insane lol😂.
Cost of living in Toronto is OUTRAGEOUS. No other word to describe it. Many homeless people on the street.
Lies... way too many ppl there now
More, much more
Lies, lies and slander!
350 dollars for groceries is a tad optimistic
just drink water hahahahaha
We pay $400 for Groceries and live very comfortably. Family of 3
This is one of the common spots in Canada where the government has taken a vacation & hasn't came back yet.
350$ for groceries? You cant even live off ramen noodles for that. Wtf???
Living in Edmonton has made me a ramen expert, beef fish vegetable chicken style ramens
350 on groceries per individual maybe, but if you livin’ with people you’re gonna be spending about or over 750
Where in edmonton are these prices. I think im getting ripped off
You're way off on groceries and utilities a decent house for a single family of 5 2000.00 in a decent neighborhood 500 a month groceries per person 400 a month utilities in the summer more in winter on average you're utilities in winter months can be as high as 700 a month adult buss pass 125.00
And it's a shithole unless you can afford to live in a affluent neighborhood average price to buy a house in a good neighborhood
800 000.00 I would know I live in Edmonton and am raising a family here lived on Alberta my whole life if you're comming from a third world country to live here you can't afford it on minimum wage jobs you can't afford to live here facts
Way cheaper in Montreal
Born n raised Edmontonian, N it's turning into Toronto..😮😢
I agree. Edmonton has all the big city problems now without the big city flair
350 in groceries? Are you new here yourself? Come on, don’t lie to people, especially the people that want to make Edmonton their new home. You are out to lunch pal.
Been here for 15 years, Edmonton is a beautiful place.. but there's so much crime here. It makes it ugly as well
For someone who comes from Latin America that’s not a crime, there’s no comparison
@@emilianoambriz6108For someone who lived in some of the safest countries in the world Edmonton feels VERY unsafe.
What would be the difference between here in Winnipeg and there
U can get a 1 bdrm for 800-950
Music in video ?
Im really strong! I can carry $300 worth of groceries inside, in one trip 💪 💪
Amazing! Keep it up 😂
I'm in Ontario and just paid my gas (heat) bill for one month: $212 (Jan/24)
This is way off! Try 15-1800$ for a decent place where you have less chance of being mugged at the door and you can’t hear the guy six doors down taking a piss!
Utilities in a one bedroom are still a little low,
350$ for groceries, again if you want eat the equivalent to cardboard yeah maybe 350$ would squeeze through! Healthy food for one is at least 5-650$
155$ for leisure & activities = 1 nights a month and not a big one at that!
Then you have all the other expenses like travel, insurances, parking etc
And good luck if you own a home!
Double this and you may be in the ball park, don’t be silly Edmonton is expensive for what it offers in return except lots of work amazing river valley, incredible summer and winter trails and some of the greatest people I’ve met, and iv met a lot!
So yeah it’s worth it 😂
It is known as a place with high crime levels, a Mecca for random stabbers, thieves, the mentally challenged, if you will. One needs to be aware of that if one is to have a clear image of this frigid city.
When i saw the amount lol i agree i rent a crappy place for 450 a week and crime is everywhere and anti social
What parts of Edmonton are you talking about? Most resources I read say Edmonton is a safe place to live. Could it be any worse than Surrey BC? Considering a move for my family of four to Edmonton from BC. Any insight is helpful, thanks!
350? 😂😂😂 That would last a week for a family of 4
All these anti Edmonton comments are kinda interesting to me. After 20 years I moved from Edmonton back to BC and I’m already contemplating moving back to Edmonton. It may be far from perfect but at least living there I had extra cash in my pocket.
If you can't enjoy yourself in BC with the things that don't cost money, AKA nature, then it's not the place for anyone.
You have not lived in many places if your considering relocating back to Edmonton
groceries 350 leisure 155 rent 1xxx? hahaha totally wrong. what is this. i pay you this amount and i live in your place ok? hahaha. but what other expenses like oil gas etc..... this is a joke and too many fake posts on youtube hahaha
$350 for groceries... Lol...😂🤣😂
per person isnt bad
Cost of living is going up with everyone moving here. Its getting old fast.
Edmonton is over priced.
So’s everywhere else 🤷♂️
@@williambanta2079valid
Heh I work full time and I just don't even make that.
Rent is not true at all.
Similar to NY City
fk no
A ticket to an oiler game costs more than 155!!!😲
lol should go to a leafs game
moved here for a week and half. nothing cheaper than BC.
Hahahahahaha….
Hahahahahaha…
Hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Edmonton should pay me $1200 to live there
Why? If it’s that bad, leave.
This must be 1990 prices
Cost of moving out of Edmonton: Priceless
👀
I'm leaving as soon as i can, if i don't ill be here for the rest of my life and that's like a horror movie
i do live there so ik
Are there enough Part time job opportunities in Edmonton?for international students
Edmonton, being a major city in AB, usually has plenty of part-time jobs for international students! Common ones include retail, hospitality, and admin roles. Just keep in mind, job availability varies based on demand and your skills. Stay proactive in your search and explore options through the university and local networks!
@@Moving2Canadainfo
Are there cash jobs also available??..
Or else ..
For students, everyone saying no jobs in Canada😭😭😭😭😭
Way cheaper in Montreal
That's a lie house $1,850 car $500 utilities $400 to $600 depending groceries $500 to $700 a month like this whole stat is a lie
Add $200 more to everything listed here and that'd be more accurate.
In dreams ❤😂😂😂😂

Why would anyone want to live in the worst city in Canada?
What the hell got on edmonton
I'm moving to Alberta. Could you please tell me why you think that way?!
@@amirhojatiexmuslim4062 You will find out this winter.
Yeah. The people suck
Ryan B, I would like to know where you live. Can you say where please? I love in Edmonton, and love it. Over a million good people live here and the capitol region makes it close to 1.5millon. so what's your proby may I ask? No one has asked you to come here. Your very rude and condescending. Alberta just came #1peple here are proud of our province and cities. No one is telling you to come iny city or Alberta,. Stay where you are, we don't need people with such superiority complex. Come down from your pedestal guy, it's pretty lonely up there ,and no one likes that kind of put down on anyone. Now I wish you a great life. Go get Budd!!!
Don't worry. War will be ended soon. 🎉🎉
What do you mean ?
Are those 1990 costs LOL
Edmonton is cold af. You will go back after the first winter 😂
