i think the video took so long to come out cause the editing is insane, it's actually really articulate and very clean, hope CactusPuppy makes more videos like this one, definitely encourage people to go to his vid and atleast liking or commenting on it
Thanks for the compliments on the video! Fun fact: part of what took me so long is switching how I made the motion graphics halfway through editing. I used to use DaVinci Resolve's in-built special effects program, Fusion, but I switched to using a more specialized tool called Motion Canvas about 45% of the way through editing the video. Not only was Motion Canvas way easier to work with for what I was doing, it also rendered and played back much faster than Fusion, which in turn made my editing go much faster in the latter half of production.
The main way I had fun as rein was by choosing a player and ONLY going for and killing that player. And then every time I do kill them, I teabag, very likely still surrounded by their other 3 teammates still trying to kill me. It's very fun to watch that player break down and get more and more paranoid, and there's nothing they can do except try to run and hide if they didn't choose a hero with vertical mobility 18:45 For another fun thing to do, in Eichenwalde I'd sit in the basement, where the tight space and cover aplenty gave me a big advantage as rein, and then I'd sit on the healthpacks in my downtime to heal up, and smash anyone that entered the basement. I could run past orisa, get to the supports, and since the space in the basement is so cramped those supports have nowhere to go. This only works because rein wins on default if time runs out, so they _have_ to enter the basement. And they can't just slowly chip down my hp cause I have healthpacks down there. Also never ult until you bait out the fortify, and even then orisa can still be a problem once you ult if she gets lucky. I made a million cheap strategies to try and deal with orisa.
The first time or 2 I played the mode I didn't think it felt balanced but after you play it more and more you start to realize how you need to play it and understand your previous mistakes. People claiming the mode isn't balanced probably played it 1 time and made up their mind.
well hearing "Preferably with heroes that will get skins" think about the Mirror Watch Sombra, Doom, Widow, Rein... but also Echo and Bastion Previous events like the Halloween event has bosses including Orisa they are able to use existing skins that fit the general skins, but yes, they want to show off the new skins, so I think after season 5, the "preferable" become required
I do hope that they bring this mode back. I was really fun during the early times, but it did get lowered thanks to Orisa/Tracer/Kiriko/LW teams. Obviously some more work would need to be done to improve upon it. This is especially true with the upcoming armor changes and its effect. Otherwise, I'd love to see more stuff like this in the future. Plus some hero additions would be cool to see, for example: -Mauga/Roadhog as the other bosses opposite to Rein; this is mostly a meme since they are already oppressive AF, so I just thought how far could they go -Zarya as the new tank as, unlike Orisa, she won't seem to be oppressive, yet not weak due to her bubble. And then once charge up, she would go all in! -Hanzo as the archer would be a classic fit, but would actually fit well. Not only that, but they can give him a passive allowing him to mount Orisa a horse! -Sombra would be an interesting choice as a rusher hero, though remove Hack for Hunter's Mark, allowing more damage on the Rein for her but cannot turn back invisible after a period of time -Brig being the paladin of the party also only makes sense and would love to see it in action, though maybe some reworks are in order as I don't imagine her surviving all too often against Rein
I always dream of one day having a game which I am interested in enough to develop a full-blown mod that gains the attention of the game's designers. It's so inspiring when someone from the modding community collaborates with an official game's team.
Fromsoftware devs do the "if made a game and everybody likes it you haven't made a great game" stuff all the time and it makes so much sense. I think bloodborne is the best game ever made, but I see so much HATE online for this game for being boring or too hard. I like the vision of not needing to appeal to everyone. Wished more people would do it!
At this point we all know the reason for PVE canceled wasn't because of time but because of the higher ups but that being said , don't think that 2 weeks would be enough time to develop any true PVE content, remember that is mode didn't receive any new assets , voice lines , story , etc. Also as someone who works in development software testing , "playtest early, playtest often" isn't Valves mono , it's literally one of the fundamental principals of software testing and integral to all development software testing life cycle minus waterfall.
Wasn't the halloween event before this also made from a custom game mode, but kind of modded and stolen since they didn't give that creator credit for making essentially the bones of the event.
@entity4894 Yes and no, ik flats has the chat on an entirely other screen but idk how the software works. There must be a way to adjust, though it probably has to be done by flats himself. Idk
Flats needing another editor, damn must be busy… cough cough my current degree I’m working on is film…. I’m going into film specifically for editing too
Imagine, one guy makes a game mode in 2 weeks on his own...it's a shame Blizzard doesn't give anyone enough time to actually finish stuff, or lets them continue after deadlines...we might have had PvE.
since flats won't say it, just block/unblock someone with streamer mode on to reveal their actual name in the game :D See that Rein player named Lemonkitten? That's not Lemonkitten! *blocks/unblocks Lemonkitten See, it was Flats the whole time! Pesky streamer mode ^_^
Nah flats is not cooking when reading the negative remarks towards the gamemode. "You have to back it up with arguments" But no you don't have to provide everything like it's an ace attorney trial. "This gamemode sometimes felt like you just played hide and seek and chased high-mobility people" There is nothing to bring Sometimes you gotta accept things as they are. People are giving their experiences, not everything is a fucking debate or argument. It's getting close to picking fights with people for nothing, or just becaude they gave their experience.
Shallow take IMO, saying "the game isn't fun" literally helps no one. People playing the game ONCE and give their experience when they most likely don't know how to play, played vs better players, etc. does not help. Quality feedback is giving REASON (NOT an argument) why the mode might feel bad for the player. Otherwise the creator cannot change the mode without basically guessing and hoping.
Cause of a reply I do not see anymore cause it was deleted or something, I'll still comment on it for anyone else reading this. In my first comment, I never said that people are obligated to help. I'm criticizing how some people try to give an opinion that has no substance in reference to how a mode is bad or could be better. And I would disagree that "The mode isn't fun" is helpful to other players cause of 2 reasons. 1 is it could be giving the wrong idea of a mode to players that might find it fun but don't end up trying it cause of those comments and 2 that players get the helpfulness that a dev would when given the aspects of the game that make it fun or bad, which would leave it up to the other players to play the mode at their own risk knowing what could happen.
@@kalebk9595 For example when they give soldier +1 damage one patch, then -1 damage next patch, then +1 damage next patch. Also when they do the same to tracer. When they rework a character like Mei and then completely revert it. When they rework mercy and then completely revert it, patches that just add content that already existed in ow1 and should have been in the game at launch (on fire). things like heroes not in battle pass, a functional comp system, which should have been in the game at launch.

The mode was fun until you played against Orisa Tracer Kiriko LW

For future videos PLEASE minimize the Twitch chat. It obscures ⅓ of the screen and 99% times it doesn't bring any value to the video.
This is a recording of his stream. It would be very difficult to remove it in post.

its funny how that one comment said they should buff heros health and speed, when thats exactly what he did with the health and speed 💀

Spoiler: the dinosaurs in Horizon are actually machines
HAH! You said DoDo.
Forbidden west is an amazing game!!
sad to see that this video has more views than the original.
Most OW2 opinions really are like "Ok but I lost this one game, if you were a good dev you'd realize my main needs a buff, what are you doing"
Flats Clips? I'd be down to do work related to it. Could use some extra income.
1 dad vs 11 kids is better.

I really enjoyed the gamemode but im also a rein main and rarely lost so maybe a bit biased 😅
Talk about mass false reporting it's a real problem in this game at no one is talking about
why so much filler content these days, nothing new in the redefined sequel?
What exactly is filler content?
