I bought it new when it came out. Still a wonderful camera that takes lovely photos. Jpegs are pleasing, so little to no editing needed for most photos especially using the film simulations. This is a great walkaround/vacation camera. I'm glad I have it and not interested in getting ripped off by the newer camera prices.
Thanks for sharing this video! The digital split imaging assist on my XT1 is my favorite with manual lenses. As much as I enjoy the Acros film simulation on my XT2, I equally enjoy the Monochrome option on the XT1. Cheers!
I bought an x-t1 maybe six years ago for really cheap and was absolutely satisfied until it fell into the dishes water... Then I had the opportunity to get an x-e1 for 150 €. I'm not an action shooter so it really fits my needs. Would I get it for 300 € more ? Probably not, but I started photography 40 years ago with an Olympus OM1n and I think my taste for compact cameras with manual controls started there. This said, the xe-1 and the xt-1 aren't the fastest cameras on the market and you must be aware of that. So I think this upload was worth it. PS. I think I recognized a french accent and I guess we both are from this country so... Merci pour cette chaîne sympa qui m'a aidé à combler quelques lacunes !
Judging by the content of the gallery ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’ is the theme. Leave the Olympics to the masses. Give me the rural idyll of the provinces. XT-1 initial attraction was the retro look plus the Fujifilm simulations. Build, weatherproofing and size. Definite plus. Aware video was inconsequential. Stills only. UR Your change of position regarding recommendations of use was interesting. I initially used the body for vintage glass with adapters, manually. Focus peaking is OK but found Sony A7 and Olympus EM-10 mkii superior. Moved on to AF but Nikon and Canon lens offerings can be much more affordable than Fujifilm. Bodies are durable and affordable too. So currently with XT series going $$$ north. It sits in the cabinet as an ‘investment’ having hit a glass ceiling. Although l do like the Fujifilm ‘look’ and have acquired a S5 pro which mounts Nikkor. Cheers enjoyed the video and your rationale.
I felt the "Nikon and Canon lenses are more affordable" part. I could say I was heavily invested in Fujifilm and that's ultimately what made me leave the system... selling most of the lenses I had and replaced all of it with a Nikon Z6 and F mount lenses... managed to fill the gaps that I had and saved money while upgrading cameras ! Fujifilm bodies like the X-T2 and X-H1 are extremely good value cameras but there is something to be said about tha absolute lack of affordable and good lens options on Fujifilm at the moment.
haha, would love to, but the prices are out of this world, and I'm working. (also they probably wouldn't let me in the stadium with my 100-400 lens lol)
@@Andy-rk9mu not only present in this camera though. It's also present in the X-T10, X-E2, X100S, X100T, X70. The X-T10 is quite a bit cheaper than the X-T1. All of them are overpriced at the moment though.
@@Andy-rk9mu yeah, that circles back to what I'm saying in this video : those cameras are enthusiast cameras chosen for that sensor specifically, but they aren't safe recommendations for beginners anymore, which could get much better (or easiert ot use) cameras for the same amount of money (or maybe even less money)
I love my two X-T1 cameras, the black and the graphite version. Never will sell it!

Honest review. On point.
Thanks !

Matthieu you need to go to Paris and photograph the Olympics

On eBay, XT-1 already reached high $500s and low $600s USD.
That's insane. The camera is awesome, but it's not $600 awesome.
@@uncertainrelease I think it is a very unique sensor

@@uncertainrelease they are all pricey. XT-10 fetches $400, X-E2 even more not to mention X100T. At least, this is what eBay shows me.

found a roughly around 500usd xt1 + 16-55mm and that is the cheapest in the used market here 😢
that's a great price. The 16-55 costs 600 bucks used by its lonesome
