Can’t wait to get mine. Put the reservation very early. Some folks have pulled back their reservations because of what they call unknowns. But when I saw the preproduction units built like a damn tank and felt that familiar steering of a true solid axle front end, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. No need to go crazy with aftermarket gear to make the loaded up from the factory Trialmaster (definitely with the safari roof windows) provide some serious capability off-road. The other issue that perplexes me are the negative comments about that BMW 58 engine. It’s tuned for torque and not blown out for horsepower. That engine has some of the best core mechanical reliability ratings of any six out there. This thing is gonna last a good long time, no doubt. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Everything was an unknown since this is a brand new manufacturer. People who cancelled reservations because of unknowns were probably never going to buy one anyways.
@@Fedgery007, I tend to agree with you. They were probably just waiting for some justification in the reviews to turn them away from spending the money. This vehicle needs a driver side gauge cluster. I'd hate having to constantly look side ways to the central infotainment cluster to check my speed and every thing else. This vehicle should also give you the option to disengage four wheel drive when not needed, to decrease wear and tear on drivetrain as oppose to full time 4 wheel drive that it is equipped with.

Hey Joe. It it one more SUV that costs too much money and does not give potential buyers enough luxury of the items that parking lot queens use! I will stay with the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Mohave. Keep up the excellent reviews. Thanks to Lori for the fantastic camera work. Not an easy feat to do.
I was given an opportunity to test drive one of these a couple of weeks back in Pasadena California and loved it! It’s a fantastic driving experience and perfectly designed for the vehicles intended use.
Going with the bulletproof B58 in-line six and ZF tranny was a great decision. If it's good enough for the Toyota Supra it's good enough for the Grenadier.
I think this will be my next vehicle. I’m just wondering if it’s a BMW powertrain can we get theses serviced at BMW that would make or break this deal for me because it seems like the dealerships are very spread out and not very easily accessible for service.
Love the look, do not like the center Tablet style gauge at all, even though Recaro is a name brand seat they usually don't feel comfortable to me after a while, they seriously need electronic lumbar and adjustments up and down like others of this caliber especially for long range driving. Most people will never go seriously off road in these so creature comforts are a necessity. I also thing the steering wheel should be just as adjustable for shorter people, IDK just my opinion.
I'm almost sold but it doesn't have a driver cluster i prefer watching my own gauge rather than on the center infotainment. Also it is expensive bronco and wrangler are more capable offroad cheaper to repair too.
Well you can buy a 70k bronco with a plastic automatic transmission drain pan. And have a wrecker bring you home while waiting 2 months for a drain pan.
I have done 2000 trouble free miles in mine in the last 3 weeks. 6 hrs in it today no problems, no squeeks, no rattles, no problems. The only problem is parties expecting a BMW X5 in the way it drives, it is a 4x4 not a car on stilts. This is a vehicle that feels like it can drive through and over as opposed to around. It will sit at 80 mph all day. If you have tools you can actually take it apart in 5 minutes, unlike so many of the competitors. Something that I will be keeping for a looong time.

Thanks Joe. I had but released a reservation on one of these. I did the Arizona test drive (about five minutes in low range up and down a modest trail) and the cool factor on these is through the roof. But there were too many unknowns for me to go through with it: 1. I didn't love it enough to sell my 17 LC200 for; 2. No dealer in PHX, nearest in So Cal, 300 miles away; 3. New manufacture reliability risk; 4. No limit on potential dealer pricing markups; 5. Highway mileage 14mpg; 6. Other than cool factor, not as good of overall off-roader as a Wrangler or Bronco because of dealers, support, history, etc.; 7. It was good, but not great in the test drive, the Ineos staff seemed as dodgy as other manufacturers'. One thing on the test drive event, they left the Grenadiers running for the 30-60 minutes between the 5 minute test drives. For cooling? For batteries? Whatever it was, it didn't feel right.
The test drive vehicles were prototypes. Engines remained on all day because each had to be manually programmed/managed properly at startup and shutdown.

Don’t you just Hate it when they start a Video with, ( Hey Guy’s Wot,s UUp. ).. Just say Hello Everyone. Getto Talk is Just awful coming from a middle class White Collar Worker…
The exterior is gorgeous but interior is ugly industrial cheap plasticky feeling crap way overpriced. An off road vehicle but no gauge cluster in front of the driver’s point of view. The designers were doing too much trying to copy Tesla. That 12’ screen will be cluttered when trying to look at the navigation, radio, gauges etc while driving. The back bench seat is useless for a family of more than 4 since it’s practically a 4 seater. Middle seat is useless due to the crappy legroom and also passengers seat upright without a reclining function. For such a big looking boxy vehicle, it lacks decent rear leg room. Then being a fairly new manufacturer with BMW drivetrain means it will be crazy expensive to maintain as most, if not all professional service will have to be done at a BMW dealership. Definitely not a daily drive once the cool factor wears off, the ‘rich’ owners will realize that it’s just not practical.
@Fedgery007 I don't care if I'm getting groceries, off-roading, racing, or driving the damn get away vehicle, I better get some automatic seats if I'm paying over 80k

They did a fantastic job making it look fun to be in and operate all of the buttons and switches. It just looks like it can take a beating and keep on ticking. I would easily pick this over any Land Rover or Mercedes.
Thanks for your great insight!
Love the retro style with the old school knobs, but the manual seats? That's a huge ZONK for me 🤔
Everyone has the things that are important to them!
It’s a 4x4 off-road vehicle. Not a grocery getter.
@Fedgery007 I don't care if I'm getting groceries, off-roading, racing, or driving the damn get away vehicle, I better get some automatic seats if I'm paying over 80k
You can wash the interior…less electrics is better
@@DomSr Typical lard ass American requirements
Everything is perfect about this car except that I have no respect for an off-roader with less than 400hp. Plus, its wheels aren’t exactly screaming off-roader. The Brits should have done better. I’m gonna put aside my tea and scones now
The title says "luxury SUV"
No. It's limited luxury & it's 100% not an SUV, it's an offroader.
Not gonna watch any of this, just came to tell ya this.
For that price I will buy a Lexus LX570 or maybe a LX470. Anyone who knows cars, knows a BMW power plant is a bad idea.
80k vehicle with few dealerships, no history, built like Frankenstein, and poor MPG. Okay, no one will have the vehicle in the parking lot. Looks like a money pit.
The overpaid dorks who own the Merchede G-class and Range Rovers will buy these and be afraid to go down dirt roads, never mind take them off-road.😀😅🤣😉😋😛
Why is it taking you so long to say it’s based on the old Landrover defender - ..???
This car is €180.000,- in my country 🇳🇱 because of the CO2 taxes.
WOW! A low budget G wagon. Front headlamps and bumper are identical. Unbelievable
Extremely ergonomic & durable vehicle inside out. Great looking as well. Well done 👍
10:09 since the grenadier is powered by a BMW Turbo I6 engine just like the Toyota Supra can it be serviced at a BMW dealership??
That is a great question!
Any Bosch certified shop could service. INEOS has a fully exploded electronic shop manual.
Never heard about this brand. Loved it.
I am really digging it!
Joe I saw a huge scratch on the rear interior panel and that storage panel also looked Ill fitting?
It is a pre-production.
BMW engine? No thanks
Maybe spell Grenadier properly if your selling them for Ineos, Crown very unprofessional if your not checking your grammar
