    Hi, great video. My wife and I are building a Timber Frame cabin in the mountains of Arizona near Flagstaff. We will be capturing rainwater and also haul potable water to the property. No way to put a well. The table is 3200ft. down! The rainwater will have separate cistern, less filtered for general use and a cistern for the potable water hauled in. It's good water but we want to filter it to the house. 1 bath economical washer. I'm going to order from the link on this video. Thank you! Agree with you on American made for replacements.

    Incredible content, Gary. We recently bought a home on well water, and there is a tank and bin that contain a chlorine solution, followed by a softener in the basement. What is this chlorine system and why would this be in the house?

    • @water_estore
      @water_estore  Год назад

      Likley part of a chemcial injection system to kill bacteria and maybe chemically oxidize iron out of the water. I prefer the chemical free alternatives.

    Great information Gary - thank you so much! We need a new water softener and I've done some Googling to try to find out if a Tannin filter is even REQUIRED for our well. We had our water tested and it has .48 PPM for Tannins and (strangely?) .48PPM for Magnesium, 276 Total Dissolved Solids with a Hardness of 17 ... so a softener is definitely required. But at that level is a Tannin filter even required? Thank you so much! Paul

    • @water_estore
      @water_estore  Год назад

      I assume your hardness is 17 gpg not 17 ppm, is that correct? If your tannins are .48 ppm the tannin filter is optional. Does your family hate the color and staining caused by the water? If not, optional. If so, then necessary.

    Still listening but hoping you speak to what it does to the pressure that we will see when running water.
    Will it decrease?
    Pressure is always a concern with wells.

    • @water_estore
      @water_estore  7 месяцев назад

      I and most of the customers we've served for 20 years are on well water. Yes, there will be a marginal decrease in pressure but you and your family won't notice any differenece even with multiple pieces of equipment.

    Will a specialty manganese/iron cartridge filter (4.5X20 canister) work to remove low manganese concentrations of 43 ug/L and if so, will they last 3 to 6 months? There would be a low micron sediment spindown filter up stream.

    • @water_estore

      I really don't know, it would depend on how much water you use and what else is in your water. I would check with that filters manufacturer.

    Why do you change filters if the TDS reading is better than filter based bottled water?

    • @water_estore

      The reason for changing the filters is because they are removing chemicals and dirt from your water, only the membrane reduces the TDS. Also, replacing the filters makes the membrane last longer
