Least honorable thing in a game? Got to be saying you'll adopt a child in Skyrim and then when they say "Oh boy really?" saying "No" and walking off and choosing another child while they watch.
Corey Irons could be worse like if your the cause that they became an orphan in the 1st place by running in a village while being followed by a dragon -cough- dorthe -cough-
SHOW OF THE WEEKEND! We talk about Luke losing it in NieR: Automata, Ellen quizzes Luke on For Honor, and the OX team reveal some of the darker things they've done in games... o_o
OD Smith The Jigglypuff was all right, but their finest work was the Halbjorn the Talking Sabre Cat Theme Song. "Halbjorn He is a fluffy kitty Halbjorn He is frustrated by how slowly we are moving"
ELLEN DON'T EVOLVE LUKE LUKE EVOLVES INTO MIKE; THATS WHAT ALL THE TRAINING IS FOR JANE IS MAKING THIS HAPPEN YOU WILL BE OVERRUN BY EXPLOSIONS, IMAGINE TWO MIKES THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE SPARE MIKES SOMEONE SEND ANDY INTO THE PAST TO STOP THIS
Well, the question is: did he had the same after Luke talked about the Samurai masks in Combat? Because they didn't really wear those in the actual fight, since they would obstruct vision alot. Also, the vikings historically did acutally wear rather similar armor to knights of the time... not like they just had a bit of leather and some paint on their body.
For honor is easily set in Finland pre-christanity, the japanese splinter faction moved across siberia after being exiled from Japan during the change of political power to the fujiwara clan opting to colonizing Karelia and are the reason for the asian look common in the finnish genepool, the knights are the parts of the sword converting orders of Livonian Order and the Teutonic Order establishing a presense in balticum, and the vikings are the remnant pagans that weren't converted until the 1000's. BAM.
Somewhat auspicious Show of the Weekend, as this discussion about Mousetrap leads to the gang expanding into tabletop games and here Luke voices his preferences for chivalric courtship-- two things that would lead to the creation of a certain half-orc bard.
In these awful times im going through without friends, you guys really know how to cheer up a man. I love you all, people from OXtra. Thanks a bunch :)
I'm with Mike on this, you guys could let's play mouse trap so Ellen can experience the childhood memories of trapping bits of plastic with other bits of plastic! Xbox vs Xtra maybe? :)
Wasn't sure at first whether I'd like outside extra as much as Oxbox but I now can't get through the weekend without you guys. Love how it's slightly more relaxed and a little different. Love you guys! Keep up the good work!!! :D
The more I watch this channel, the more I love Ellen and Luke. This channel is amazing, and I really like the chemistry between everyone. Better than OXBOX 🤔😮
I frickin love this show! The sheer giggles, and fun filled moments that honestly come across as genuine and sincere enjoyment of not only the work, but of the company. Just wonderful. @ 28:05 The problem with being a fan in America...
Zeusalmighty170 Andy probably erases entire bases like a ghost, Jane is probably in front of the Hague for multiple war crimes, and Mike probably nukes Australia or something.
RetepAdam like when they did the Christmas challenges and she made a Jenga stack with the corpses of guards they she had knocked unconscious/murdered/sliced in half?
Ahh, RollerCoaster Tycoon. So many trains that never made the reverse loop, instead flying through the air attempting to reach the highest heights and ultimately killing everyone riding it. Also, making paved areas away from the main park for guests to wander aimlessly for the rest of their days, unable to leave because they cannot stray from the path and this path leads nowhere. Trapped forever.
The least honorable thing I've done was in Skyrim after Hearthfire came out. I found out you could adopt any child in the game by killing its parent, so I found these sisters in some village, killed their father, and then, after they got moved to the orphanage... I adopted only one of them in front of her sister. Spent a while just jumping around her and laughing in her face afterwards too.
Hello from the future! You folks used to sing more, it's so adorable and you all have such good pitch! And praise of Andy (even some sincere one at the end there..? :O) Love you all
So Andy is a planet, an alien, some sort of human Slenderman thing and now Jesus...remember when Jane was the mysterious one, anyone? Andy did a great job hiding it until now, but I guess having two extra people around in close proximity at all times was a bit too much for the poor guy.
In Roller Coaster Tycoon, I would always make hedge mazes without an entrance or exit and drop guests in. Also, if you put a "Do Not Enter" sign next to the entrance of the park faced inwards, guests can NEVER leave
I swear, at least half every episode of show of the weekend is luke and Ellen laughing at each other haha...which isn't a complaint because it's god damn hilarious haha
In the Zoo Tycoon Dino Danger expansion, I would feed unhappy guests to the tyrannosaur... I don't feel bad about it. My zoo is great! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?
Adam Nielsen Dino Zoo tycoon was great. Getting meat eating dinosaurs, then removing a piece of fence to allow them to roam the park jurassic park style, that was the point of the game right?
Michael Walford Of course! I mean why else would you resurrect extinct apex predators? For people to look at safely behind electrified fences? That would just be a waste of their inborn talent.
I loved the sweet America reference. (Note: for those that do not know, America is the name of the band that did the song "Horse with no Name", which they referenced in the episode.)
It always seems like the need 28 hours of filming for a 28 minute episode. The person which has to cut this is a real hero (and all this not even For Honor)
Luke: "Are you preparing to replace me in case I get Andy'd?" I love that Andy has become a verb! And that he then sits on the couch shortly later...lol
I remember playing Rollercoaster Tycoon and messing with the bathrooms! I'd either charge a ton of money to use it, or put them outside the exit of a maze with a "no entry" sign on the other side. I feel bad about it now, but as a kid it was just hilarious!
Least honourable thing I've done in a video game is punching the pyjak in Tuchanka in Mass Effect 2. I swear, I'm usually really nice to animals, I just.. I don't know what came over me..oh god what have I done..
Before we knew they were called Pyjaks, we had the chase down the one that took the data module. Shoot it or run it over with a Mako Tali: "That was a little extreme, wasn't it?" Ashley: "Personally, I would've thrown a rock at it." If you get the data module before killing a Pyjak, you can get Paragon & Renegade points! The traveler that brought the Pyjaks to Tuchanka picked them up at Eletania, the planet where Pyjaks had villages. If punching a Pyjak is bad, I take it you didn't do Ratch's Quest to shoot a lot more
+Joe Nesvick That mission was a nightmare in ME1... I have never pressed A on so many things before. +Zadok the Priest Have fun, recently finished another trilogy playthrough myself. Don't forget to punch that dirty food stealing vermin again ;)
Also in roller coaster tycoon, you could add a drop off a few tiles after the entrance to your park so guests could enter, but not leave. Then, if they got upset, you could stick them on an island in the middle of a lake with several mascot characters and a concession stand, so they would raise their happiness rating and spend every dollar they had on food and drink before you dropped them at the exit.
Please do a Let's Play Ultrastar or Performous. I don't think "My Heart Will Go On" is available for it, but I do have scripts for CD album versions of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and "Just Walk Away."
Dang it, I was trying to stay up and watch this last night but fell asleep and had to watch it this morning instead. 😅 It's hard keeping up with a U.K. channel from Australia!
The least honorable thing done in a game? Like, "honor" as defined by our universe? Or on the rules of the particular game world? I would consider how I save before I steal anything from any character in any game where it is allowed, only to reload if I get caught to be my least honorable action, because then I am not abiding by the rules of any universe, and essentially playing God.
The historical issues with for honour do not arise with the idea that all the fighters existed at the same time, as there was an overlapping period between the characters. The problem is the equipment you have as each person, because the armour the knights have is inaccurate for the overlapping period. And... side note vikings were actually quite short in comparison to the samurai and knights.
Not compared to samurai. They were quite short compared to Europeans, as they mostly lived on fish, instead of meat. It's still somewhat true, eventhough this difference is starting to change now.
I used to put sims on the "death pedestal". You have them stand on the second floor, on a tile directly on top of a pillar, column or wall that will support their weight and then you delete every tile around them.
*Puts on glasses* Actually Luke. You can make a rollercoaster with no end in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Some types of rollercoasters allow you to put it in "Launch mode" which makes it so that it has only one train, but you can launch it from the platform (hence the name) and even can adjust the speed it launches. Even fewer rollercoaster types do even have a reverse launch mode. *Takes glasses off*
Seriously, I've been struggling to get 'Nier (Far) Autooooooomataaaaaa' out of my head since the first video and avoided the second as a result. You've doomed me to that ear worm for another month!
Well, the Viking ages and the Medieval ages overlap, the former being from 700 to 1000 CE, and the latter being from 500 to 1500 CE. In fact, vikings raided medieval coastal villages somewhat frequently. Now, the Heian era in Japan (which involved samurai, as well as other warriors) lasted from 794 to 1185 CE. So, all 3 groups existed in large numbers at the same time.
BREAKING NEWS: JESUS!?! So that’s your true identity Andy? I knew there was something more to you for being so good at all kinds of games(mostly all kinds). Highlights: Ellen and pikachu hug, what does Luke evolve into?, darkest crimes committed by oxtra/oxbox(missing a Jane).... in games , not in real life(Obviously they won’t reveal that on RUclips of all places). And that award winning singing done by Ellen,Luke and Andy(I want the full version). I’m so happy with this episode.
favorite thing to do in Roller Coaster Tycoon? Raise the land up high and put a bunch of people on it, quickly drop the land and raise it up past them as they are falling and they phase through the ground falling into the black abyss never to be seen again. Best part? it doesn't count as a guest dying so your park rating is unaffected >:)
well considering the time period most of those people were male but yes :) as a bi man it makes me happy to see that luke went for a male K/V/S,id like to think its to show even the tiniest support on our community
Least honorable thing in a game? Got to be saying you'll adopt a child in Skyrim and then when they say "Oh boy really?" saying "No" and walking off and choosing another child while they watch.
We can't adequately explain how hard our jaws dropped at this. Wow. Heartless.
Five stars.
you monster!
Corey Irons you monster!
Corey Irons Woah
Corey Irons could be worse like if your the cause that they became an orphan in the 1st place by running in a village while being followed by a dragon -cough- dorthe -cough-
SHOW OF THE WEEKEND! We talk about Luke losing it in NieR: Automata, Ellen quizzes Luke on For Honor, and the OX team reveal some of the darker things they've done in games... o_o
top plz
yay
"Nier Automata, its a game" its this level of in depth analysis that keeps me tuning in week after week. well done OXbox EXtra
Outside Xtra vikings nights and samurai we're all around at the same time
Outside Xtra Ellen what's your name on xbox
Don't worry, we stuck with you after The Jigglypuff Incident
god i just want more ellen, andy and luke singing, everytime they sing on this channel is glorious
I dont know if I'm tone deaf or what, but I found the Jigglypuff theme pretty awesome.
OD Smith The Jigglypuff was all right, but their finest work was the Halbjorn the Talking Sabre Cat Theme Song.
"Halbjorn
He is a fluffy kitty
Halbjorn
He is frustrated by how slowly we are moving"
We can't forget that torment
the jigglypuff song is OP
Ellen hugging pikachu: So adorable it's even cute in a sentence.
Ben Thomas so cute
Ben Thomas I just wish I was the guy who was wearing that Pikachu costume( mean this as a joke)
ELLEN DON'T EVOLVE LUKE
LUKE EVOLVES INTO MIKE; THATS WHAT ALL THE TRAINING IS FOR
JANE IS MAKING THIS HAPPEN
YOU WILL BE OVERRUN BY EXPLOSIONS, IMAGINE TWO MIKES
THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE SPARE MIKES
SOMEONE SEND ANDY INTO THE PAST TO STOP THIS
*Mick
lmao
Erza Holmes Luke evolve to mike? I thought he evolves to Andy
Jonathan Kreitler it's a branched evolution, at level 33 he evolves to Mike, when an x-stone is used he evolves to Andy
Dominick Coze ahh right now its clear
Evolve? How much taller can Luke get? Imagine him at level 54!
Jude Djameh it's sounds like those carnival games "how tall can he go?!"
Jonathan Kreitler Pet the Luke's head and let it grow to infinity.
Maybe he's like Diglett, where instead of him growing taller we just end up with three Lukes glued together?
Andy probably had a fit when Luke said horned helmets
Gaming Lord
Probably, I know I did!
Adam Jensen so did i
Well, the question is: did he had the same after Luke talked about the Samurai masks in Combat? Because they didn't really wear those in the actual fight, since they would obstruct vision alot.
Also, the vikings historically did acutally wear rather similar armor to knights of the time... not like they just had a bit of leather and some paint on their body.
Still waiting on the full version of Andy's rendition of kiss from a rose.
Halloween 2017: Luke's going to cosplay as robot-head-girl.
That would be amazing.
Vikings, Samurai, and Knights were actually all around at the same time in the 11th century, however they didn't typically fight each other.
With those singing voices, Andy, Ellen, and Luke would make an amazing acapella group.
BAM.
Where have Ellen's legs gone? They've disappeared!!!
The couch swallowed them up!
Silent Shark crippled Ellen
Could we get ellen to play mouse trap, but with her as the mouse :o
Was this supposed to be a "camouflage" joke that nobody understood? Cause if it is, I feel bad for you x)
No one saw the joke...
Somewhat auspicious Show of the Weekend, as this discussion about Mousetrap leads to the gang expanding into tabletop games and here Luke voices his preferences for chivalric courtship-- two things that would lead to the creation of a certain half-orc bard.
"I'll reposition that Roomba out the window in a minute" great quote
There was a very small sliver of time where, Knights, Vikings and Samurai all existed at once. But for only a short time compared to history.
Seriously, please do a Let's Play of Mouse Trap. It says OutsideXtra. Meaning it isn't just video games, amiright?
I always wanted to, but never got to play KerPlunk, so I'd like to see that added to a Let'sPlay list for OXtra.
Akmal Ibrahim you're not right sorry
THIS HAS TO HAPPEN!!!
I would seriously enjoy this
Mouse Trap! Do it, Xtra!
I was thinking that Eurogamer has a section called Late to the Party. So,Outside Xtra/OutsideXbox/Eurogamer mashup would be highly entertaining.
Show of the Weekend has quickly become one of my favourite parts of Sunday mornings. Love it!
Andy looks like a giant perching history owl on the purple sofa. Is that normal, or is it a holdover from his snow-sanity
Whatever sat on the couch, it's not Andy. Since then he actually learned to mimic a human pretty well.
Wasn't sure at first whether I'd like outside extra as much as Oxbox but I now can't get through the weekend without you guys. Love how it's slightly more relaxed and a little different. Love you guys! Keep up the good work!!! :D
Ellen you're too attached to pikachu. He's filing a restraining order.
after a long night of treatment in the hospital I'm glad I can come home to my favorite people to put a smile on my face. thank you
So cool seeing Ellen wearing a sips shirt. Shows how much of a small world it is.
The more I watch this channel, the more I love Ellen and Luke. This channel is amazing, and I really like the chemistry between everyone. Better than OXBOX 🤔😮
You guys make me so happy
"Flourish Filled Fighting".
That is genuinely a really neat tagline to put on the case. Nice wordplay, Ellen!
I freaking lost it when you guys started singing xD
I frickin love this show! The sheer giggles, and fun filled moments that honestly come across as genuine and sincere enjoyment of not only the work, but of the company. Just wonderful. @ 28:05 The problem with being a fan in America...
Jane is conspicuously absent in the least honourable gaming moments chat. I assume a whole separate video is required to cover them all.
*One* video?
Noone mentioned the length of it.
I just love the look on Andys face as soon as he "sits" on the couch for Luke to start his explanation. Just great.
Does anyone else kinda just want a video of OXbox and OXtra crew talking about all the horrible things they've done in video games?
Zeusalmighty170 Andy probably erases entire bases like a ghost, Jane is probably in front of the Hague for multiple war crimes, and Mike probably nukes Australia or something.
That was Mike!?! He's the reason it's so hard to find water with *acceptable* amounts of radiation out here in the wastelands. Darn him!
Jane's would span multiple videos.
RetepAdam like when they did the Christmas challenges and she made a Jenga stack with the corpses of guards they she had knocked unconscious/murdered/sliced in half?
I'm pretty sure that was "lasagna" for them. Makes you wonder where the rest of the interns went...
Oh Ellen, you always cheer me up.your smile and laugh are infectious. Don't you dare ever change!😁
pikachu is shorter then Ellen omg
I didn't think that anyone could live up to how awesome Mike Jane and Andy are but you two are fantastic together and are two possible usurpers!
I Love Ellen's Sips shirt
Nicholas Troon I love that this is not the first time she's worn one haha
Such a funny show, great chemistry between the anchors. Excellent job, as per usual!
I love it that they're so genuine in these videos, makes them so great
The least honorable thing I've done was in Skyrim after Hearthfire came out. Hello from the future! You folks used to sing more, it's so adorable and you all have such good pitch! And praise of Andy (even some sincere one at the end there..? :O)
Love you all
OXTRA + Andy singing America songs just needs to be a reoccurring theme.
Man, Andy's harmonizing was on point. I laughed not just because it was funny, but I was also impressed.
So Andy is a planet, an alien, some sort of human Slenderman thing and now Jesus...remember when Jane was the mysterious one, anyone? Andy did a great job hiding it until now, but I guess having two extra people around in close proximity at all times was a bit too much for the poor guy.
Roonco SP Also Luke and Mick are robots.
In Roller Coaster Tycoon, I would always make hedge mazes without an entrance or exit and drop guests in. Also, if you put a "Do Not Enter" sign next to the entrance of the park faced inwards, guests can NEVER leave
The most dishonorable thing I've done in game? I started to play Crusader Kings 2. I realized I am not very moral person.
Olli Koskinen Paradox games tend to do that to people :)
The greek bug was the most dishonorable thing the CK2 dev team ever did in games.
I swear, at least half every episode of show of the weekend is luke and Ellen laughing at each other haha...which isn't a complaint because it's god damn hilarious haha
"What would you date? Viking, Knight, or Samurai?" *looks at my gingerness* I had better say Viking, because someone in my ancestry did.
I love sharing a laugh with you guys, especially you Ellen, you're the most giggly XD
That sing-along at 26:30 is GOLD!
How to catch mike 101:-
make him play a real life stealth game
I loved the sweet America reference.
(Note: for those that do not know, America is the name of the band that did the song "Horse with no Name", which they referenced in the episode.)
It always seems like the need 28 hours of filming for a 28 minute episode. The person which has to cut this is a real hero (and all this not even For Honor)
14:42 Excellent job, Luke, explaining the Samurai Prime Directive. Welcome to Starfleet.
what watch is Luke wearing? I've been curious since literally the first video with him in.
I think it is Casio with calculator (DBC-611E-1EF) or something like this.
Andy's robot sounds like Calvin's robot. "How may I ease your life, oh grand exalted master?"
PRAISE ANDY!
Praise the sentient planets.
an OXtra video thats almost half an hour long?! yeahhh boiiiiiiiiiiiii
turns out Ellen edited this video, thank you Ellen!!!!
Luke: "Are you preparing to replace me in case I get Andy'd?"
I love that Andy has become a verb!
And that he then sits on the couch shortly later...lol
That whole segment about the compliment roomba is just perfect you guys should do more imaginative stuff like that haha
Plural of Moose = Meeseeks. Someone's been watching Rick and Morty!
Moosen!
A Møøse once bit my sister
The little background shouts from the people who aren't the hosts of the episode make my day.
Do a let's play of mouse trap, with everybody of the team! (Xtra and Oxbox)
8:58 the seeds for the Wonderful Mechanical Man are planted here today
least honorable thing? well in skyrim I went around shouting at people and they were really hurt by what I said.
I remember playing Rollercoaster Tycoon and messing with the bathrooms! I'd either charge a ton of money to use it, or put them outside the exit of a maze with a "no entry" sign on the other side. I feel bad about it now, but as a kid it was just hilarious!
You know what they say, Ellen. "Always avoid alliteration." So say something similar, silly.
Luke oh Luke tall as the tower you stand in you bring joy to my world and I could never live without you -Knight Girl
Vikings 4 life - still in our hearts Ragnar :'(
more the tv show character but all ragnars welcome
AtomicTek at least I'm not the only one who thought that AS SOON as I saw his name. right?
So many giggles, so many jump cuts. so good to see ellen back
So... Andy is back and he isn't a sentient planet... yet
I just love how into the song they all are at the end.
Least honourable thing I've done in a video game is punching the pyjak in Tuchanka in Mass Effect 2. I swear, I'm usually really nice to animals, I just.. I don't know what came over me..oh god what have I done..
Damn dirty Pyjaks, only good for Varren feed.
No, don't say things like that, they're the nicest most harmless creatures in the galaxy!
Before we knew they were called Pyjaks, we had the chase down the one that took the data module. Shoot it or run it over with a Mako
Tali: "That was a little extreme, wasn't it?"
Ashley: "Personally, I would've thrown a rock at it."
If you get the data module before killing a Pyjak, you can get Paragon & Renegade points!
The traveler that brought the Pyjaks to Tuchanka picked them up at Eletania, the planet where Pyjaks had villages.
If punching a Pyjak is bad, I take it you didn't do Ratch's Quest to shoot a lot more
Joe Nesvick I had no idea that mission even existed. Looks like I'm going through the trilogy again

Do you guys hang out with each other or are you just work friends?
Wafflespizza Given their work, probably both. They seem to have tons of fun doing what they do as a group
3 words:
Regular. Karaoke. Nights.
Andy's choice?
...Sooo, does Andy hog the microphone as much as I think he would?
Please do a Let's Play Ultrastar or Performous.
I don't think "My Heart Will Go On" is available for it, but I do have scripts for CD album versions of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and "Just Walk Away."
Dang it, I was trying to stay up and watch this last night but fell asleep and had to watch it this morning instead. 😅 It's hard keeping up with a U.K. channel from Australia!
wait wait wait, did Luke say "trying to replace me incase I got Andy'd"? Did I hear that right? What does it mean to be "Andy'd"??
I can see Andy with the '1980s Robot Butler out of the Muppet movie.
ApexPenguin Save-scumming!
It's not Black and White. Although I loved that game. Come to think of it this is Black and White
Luke- "....We don't know...but hang on to the idea." Hahahaha absolutely hilarious! I honestly wish you guys all the success possible for the future!
The historical issues with for honour do not arise with the idea that all the fighters existed at the same time, as there was an overlapping period between the characters. Was part of the hiring process for this show the ability to harmonize with Andy?
The America reference was lovely. Thanks for that, it has made me unreasonably happy
I challenge Luke to read this: swishy swishy swishy swish swish swish
*Puts on glasses* Actually Luke. You can make a rollercoaster with no end in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Some types of rollercoasters allow you to put it in "Launch mode" which makes it so that it has only one train, but you can launch it from the platform (hence the name) and even can adjust the speed it launches. is Ellen wearing a sips real guy best guy T-shirt?
Luke becoming Buzz Killington "what I actually want to talk about is the lost art of ship building"
Anyone else want to see Luke mega form ?
Seriously, I've been struggling to get 'Nier (Far) Autooooooomataaaaaa' out of my head since the first video and avoided the second as a result. You've doomed me to that ear worm for another month!
Multiverse theory would allow for the game to be possible. Why I bet there's another universe where they have Half Life 3.
Blue Coyote What Andrew said.

"Shouldn't have lived in my city!" - where have I heard those words before, Andy Ryan?
These videos are the highlight of my week.
Is Ellen wearing a Sips tshirt?

I like that Luke immediately wanted a gay hypothetical knight/viking/samurai relationship
well considering the time period most of those people were male but yes :)
as a bi man it makes me happy to see that luke went for a male K/V/S,id like to think its to show even the tiniest support on our community
unless hes married to a guy?i dont knowi mean his wedding band could be for a girl or guy
I don't think gay marriage is a thing in the UK.
WlLDEHlLDE It's a thing in UK
Lojm Fox k
I love watching Oxtra as Ellen is completely adorable and Luke is just a big nerd :-)
