OutsideXbox/Xtra cannon right now: - Mike is a creation of Jane - Jane has a plan to take over the world - Ellen is an android - Luke is a Pokémon under Ellen's control I don't think I've got everything, what else?
Andy is a sentient planet (no idea where that came from) and Jane has a space laser Ellen and Luke have the ability to travel through time with help of Pikachu
OF COURSE Mike knows how to fix Ellen. He was Jane's first robot. edit: I just have to say. I'm 10 mins in and I already have laughter tears in my eyes. Bless you guys
It's Show of the Weekend! We talk our love of the Lego games and Luke quizzes Ellen on Nier: Automata! Wait... Does anyone else hear that beeping...? OH NO.
Ellen, may I ask how old your sister is? I got a bit confused throughout your conversation about the LEGO games. Anyways, I also use them to share my love for nerdy culture with friends :)
Ellen finally convinced me to play Kingdoms of Amalur... and it's amazing! :-D I always complained that Skyrim was too bland in terms of colour (I could never get the ENB mods to work properly). KoA really satisfies in terms of creating a beautiful world to explore. It has a decent character creator and I find myself getting invested in the various characters' stories :-D The combat is fairly easy, but I enjoy trying out different combinations of weapons to see which ones work best for different enemies... and smashing the spiders with my giant hammer :-P
I do wonder what the other team members are doing while Luke and Ellen are getting filmed. Are they just sitting there? Are they going about their daily lives? Is Mike poaching eggs? Is James actually a camera man or does he just act like he's needed for the camera to be filming?
A Game Of Lucky Hit I think James is probably doing the same thing 47 did in Marrakech. Hitting a button to start the camera and then wandering off to find a moose to drop on someone.
Why i love this channel. luke: wow stuck making a video with this nerd. also luke: i walk along pretending to use jet propulsion to levitate and the force.
I love watching people geek out over their fandoms (whether I share them or not [though I've been meaning to get more into Doctor Who]), so watching around 7:30 as Ellen and Luke get progressively more excited with every word Andy said was absolutely delightful :D !!
Kingdoms of Amalur seriously is one of the most underrated games I've ever played. The world is immense, the story's fantastic, and the combat is absolutely brilliant. I'd love to see OXtra do a throwback Let's Play.
First the Jigglypuff song, then the harmonic "Nier Far Automata", now the Link song? When is this channel just going to become a barbershop quartet, as it is destined to be.
The main nerdy thing I regularly do, is when I ask anyone to do anything I start it with "would you kindly", then I'm really pleased with myself when someone does what I want. Also game in need of a sequel LEGACY OF KAIN!!! I still grieve for Raziel.
I think Ellen and Luke(but mostly Ellen) has the ability to make people want to buy anything. I've been wanting to buy most of the games they've talked about.
One of my favourite things about the Lego games is how 'graphic' they are. My favourite examples involve Robin, in Lego Batman 1 Killer Croc decapitates him with a manhole cover and Robin catches his own head, then puts it back on. Then in the second game, Robin's special move involves him pulling off an enemy's head and playing football with it.
im glad ellen is introducing people to kingdoms of amalur so few people talk about it i loved it so much and i love hearing ellen gush over it still one of my favourite games so sad never got the love it deserved also we need a comilation of all of luke and ellen singing
At first, Whenever Ellen would talk about Kingdoms of Amalur I would feel waves of sadness over never seeing it continue. But her passion for the game has brought me back to the memories of how amazing the game was. I think it's time for Outside Xtra to let Ellen follow this passion. I would be thrilled to see a long term Let's Play series on the game. Maybe bring in guests to talk about their history with it too. "I've seen the fate of every soldier in that battle, and none of them were to survive past that day. I do not know what you are, or how you are doing whatever it is you are doing, but I am glad you are on our side."
I agree Ellen & Luke Just imagine the adverts: OXtra ft. Andy ---The debut album!!! including the smash hit (with no copyright privileges): Jiggly puff Lullaby. Coming out soon.
Doctor who is my favourite show. like from 1963 when it started. My fave doctor is Patrick troughton who was the second. I'm so sad that Capaldi is leaving.
Having Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra in my life is making every day a bit brighter - and maybe especially today, with a comment from yours truly featured in Show of the Weekend (which I totally did NOT have to replay immediately and skip straight to the comments section to make sure I didn't just hallucinate it, no really, what?)! You guys are the best and I love you. Thank you for being so awesome!
You two have such great chemistry on film...you can tell that you both really enjoy each other's company and that nothing is forced..its the reason that I absolutely love Oxtra & the OxBox team!! Keep up the fantastic work!
Ellen, I have the entirety of Hamilton memorized and I have been yelled at by many of my friends for quoted it from start to finish when struck with an awkward silence.
Best thing ever was the shaking and freaking out when mention of Doctor Who and it's amazingness in LEGO Dimensions...... Ellen was so excited that she couldn't even laugh she could only shake.
I would pitch in ;-p Luckily KoA is so big/diverse in playstyle that you can easily play it multiple times and the art style means the graphics don't go bad much either.
Ellen, I'm one of those people who bought Kingdoms of Alamur because of you. I love it so much! And now I've got another friend who just bought it today. It's such a good game! Thanks for always talking about it, otherwise I don't think I would have ever gotten it.
I love this show so much. You guys are doing such a great job entertaining and informing us. The Lego part of this show spoke to my family personally. I'm the old gamer and Doctor Who fan. My partner Becky never played any games until we bought Lego dimensions. We got it originally just for the Doctor Who level pack, but its so obviously a labour of geek love, that we've bought quite a few other expansions. Gaming time now has to be split between us as we work through each world. My little boy was given the complete Lego Star Wars for Christmas and it's his favourite game. The Lego games are a pleasure to play. Becky and I always watch the Outside Xtra and Outside Xbox videos together. We love the humour and personality that comes from these videos. Keep up the good work. :-)
As an outgoing introvert, I know exactly what you are talking about, Ellen! It's like we're wading through water and everyone else is walking about on land. 😊
Dr. Who, Hobbit, Harry Potter, Hobbit, Sherlock, Les Mis, and Hamilton references all in one video?! The collective amount of geeking out you guys did in this video is going to make me fangirl all over myself. You guys are spoiling me with the amount of fandoms and nerding out that happened in this week's show
Ah, Ellen being an android throws up various legal difficulties, chief of which is: is her Lifetime contract with OxBox to remain on this channel now voided? I think so. You're free, Ellen! You're free!
Glad you guys feel the same about the Lego games. I absolutely adore them, they are hilarious and so much fun. We (my girlfriend and I) play them all the time on the WiiU. She destroys everything, why I try and advance the missions. This one time, she actually got mad because I triggered a cutscene while she wanted to destroy some more boxes. Lego: build your dreams, destroy your relationships.
What I love most about Ellen and Luke is their singing voices - I mean how nerdy they are, it's basically how I was in school and being nerdy back then wasn't cool.
Ever since Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning was first mentioned by Ellen I have been playing it constantly. It was a game I already loved but hadn't played in a while. Falling in love with it all over again :) thanks Ellen
While Andy and Jane were talking about the Doctor Who spec in Lego dimension I had the exact same reaction as Ellen... So I just bought the whole pack... ty Outside Xbox/Xtra... Love you all!
Andrew Tyrell I really want a Bioshock 4 - one that would return to the world of rapture with big daddies and big and little sisters. Maybe not set in Rapture, but certainly feeling the effects of it.
I rarely fucking comment on RUclips, but holy hell did i love Freedom Fighters. Seeing you mention that shit just forced me to say something. That game really needs a sequel, but a good one at that.
"We should get the Oxbox team to play LEGO Dimensions to get them into Doctor Who." *Oxbox team proceeds to implode Luke and Ellen's minds with Who tidbits from Dimensions they didn't know until now.* That was amazing. Also now the question is: Luke, what would you reprogram in Ellen? (Heck, it would be great to hear all 5 of you voice opinions for each other.) Anyone want to stop Andy being a goth Dark Wizard?
If this were a movie the big third act twist would be that adorable little Ellen was really the evil mastermind behind Jane's machinations the whole time.
When you said its always a musical whenever Ellen is at the door my mind immediately went to IT Crowd "there's somebody at the door, there's somebody at the door"
this is honestly the best job every!! :') .. joyfully discussing something we all love, making everyone laugh, playing video games for a living.. brilliant :P .. I wish I was on those couches too :'(
I love that Outside Xbox's "Show of the Week" has a more formal layout with the same itiniary each week and that Outside's Xtra's "Show of the Weekend" has a more informal, chat vibe where Oxbox just chip in aside every now and then.
I've always felt more like Ellen. Always laughing and stuff. But Luke and me would have definitely become best friends after hearing that he uses the force to open sliding doors. I do that all the time and everyone looks at me so odd. Love it Luke!!! I'm right there with you!!!
The more i watch OXtra/OXbox, the more i want to meet them in person and be their friends. Yet, I live in the US. The next time I go to London, my eyes shall be peeled.
I am certain that pretty soon the "Show of the Weekend" playlist will be cleared to use in hospitals and at home to cure depression. Thank you, Ellen and Luke. And Mike, and Andy, and Jane.
"I am not throwing away my shot" to mention that Luke's sound affects are spot on! It's good to know someone else uses the force on auto doors and uses sound affects to get his point across! #hookedforlife
My brother and I play the lego games too (first games we played). He has dispraxia and lego gives him enough time to figure things out without killing him he can get through the games without him getting too frustrated. These are the only games we have 100% finished also. We been playing sense the first Star Wars game (we still have a bunch on CD instead of steam)
Ellen and Luke's faces when Andy and Jane said about the different doctor themes and TARDIS in Lego dimensions. Gosh I am so glad i'm not the only one who geeked out about that.
oh and on that note Ellen, I really liked Kingdoms of Amalur too. it was the only game my crappy laptop was able to play when i was working on a seagoing cargo vessel. and then i just played it 3 months at a time every time i went there. it was so nice to just get lost in :)
Can we just talk about how awesome and flowy Ellen's hair is this week? No wait, there's nothing to talk about. Ellen's hair is awesome and flowy this week.
Thank you for being such nice people, it genuinely makes my outlook on life brighter
It makes me sad knowing I will likely never be friends with them :'(
+Marth Shepard I'm friends with them.... I have always been.... And always will be..... No one can take that away from me..... NO ONE!!!!
good times every time
Alfie610 aww what a nice comment... such a swell guy you are.. can you and I be friends? My e-mail is trod146@gmail and I hope you'll contact me :)
OutsideXbox/Xtra cannon right now:
- Mike is a creation of Jane

-andy have clones army
Andy is a sentient planet (no idea where that came from)
and Jane has a space laser
Ellen and Luke have the ability to travel through time with help of Pikachu
Ellen is writing Oxbox fanfic
Jane is infected with an alien parasite.
Max Moody Jane has a lizard beam at least I think it was jane
Ellen and Luke being freaking out about the Doctor Who stuff in Lego Dimensions made my day. Please do a let's play of that game!
OF COURSE Mike knows how to fix Ellen. He was Jane's first robot.
edit: I just have to say. I'm 10 mins in and I already have laughter tears in my eyes. Bless you guys

Out of curiosity, how much of your show is scripted? Or is it really that easy to make Ellen laugh?
Luke and Ellen had a proper Geekgasm when they found out about the accuracy of the Lego Dr. Who
It was a joy to behold!
I do wonder what the other team members are doing while Luke and Ellen are getting filmed. Are they just sitting there? Are they going about their daily lives? Is Mike poaching eggs? Is James actually a camera man or does he just act like he's needed for the camera to be filming?
A Game Of Lucky Hit I always thought they were just sitting there on the side... staring.... wow
A Game Of Lucky Hit when not on camera they all just go into stasis, then James comes and switches them on
A Game Of Lucky Hit
I think James is probably doing the same thing 47 did in Marrakech. Hitting a button to start the camera and then wandering off to find a moose to drop on someone.
Ethan Lappin Stasis is an interesting term. I mean Luke goes into a Pokéball, Ellen goes into sleep mode, Mike has ancient Mayan chains reattached...
James likely is fused to the camera, like Cambot in MST3K.
Why i love this channel.
luke: wow stuck making a video with this nerd.
also luke: i walk along pretending to use jet propulsion to levitate and the force.
" *Everyone* should be running "
* Luke gets up very slowly *
That simultaneous Doctor Who nerding-out was the most wonderful thing I've seen all year. We are all better people now
I really need to stop trying to drink coffee when watching these.....
*gets paper towel to wipe his monitor off*
I love watching people geek out over their fandoms (whether I share them or not [though I've been meaning to get more into Doctor Who]), so watching around 7:30 as Ellen and Luke get progressively more excited with every word Andy said was absolutely delightful :D !!

I would buy that album in a second.
The main nerdy thing I regularly do, is when I ask anyone to do anything I start it with "would you kindly", then I'm really pleased with myself when someone does what I want.
Also game in need of a sequel LEGACY OF KAIN!!! I still grieve for Raziel.
I love how half this show is nerdy excitement or laughter.
I think Ellen and Luke(but mostly Ellen) has the ability to make people want to buy anything. I've been wanting to buy most of the games they've talked about.
Also, my wallet is beginning to hate them.
I think my wallet is secretly in league with oxtra, because its too lazy to want to hold my money and magically opens everytime they 'lets play'
One of my favourite things about the Lego games is how 'graphic' they are. My favourite examples involve Robin, in Lego Batman 1 Killer Croc decapitates him with a manhole cover and Robin catches his own head, then puts it back on. Craig Victory actually nier automata gameplay feels very much like kingdoms of amalur...
John Chi it is similar in some ways and that's why I am right now playing nier automata and loving it platinum really know how to make a great game,
Craig Victory that's why I enjoyed amalur so much :D
John Chi same now I really want to go back and play it again
would love to play amalur, sadly it aint on PS4 =/
At first, Whenever Ellen would talk about Kingdoms of Amalur I would feel waves of sadness over never seeing it continue. But her passion for the game has brought me back to the memories of how amazing the game was.

"To scream or not to scream"? when you step on your kids Lego's in the middle of the night trying to get a glass of water. 😭
each time Ellen breaks out in a laugh makes my day a little bit brighter, I really love her laughter
I agree Ellen & Luke
Just imagine the adverts:
OXtra ft. Andy ---The debut album!!! including the smash hit (with no copyright privileges): Jiggly puff Lullaby.
Coming out soon.
Ellen geeking out over Andy talking about Lego Dr Who is the best most wholesome and great thing, I swear it gives me strength
It does a Whovian's heart good to see such proper care of the Doctor by Lego.
While watching Ellen come up with the backstory of the mug:
Ellen's bedtime stories are the best!
Doctor who is my favourite show. like from 1963 when it started. My fave doctor is Patrick troughton who was the second. I'm so sad that Capaldi is leaving.
anytime someone mentions doctor who i go into full nerd overload.
Mine was Tom Baker, yep it's a shame Capaldi is leaving. I just wish the writing had been as good as his acting.
Ellen why wouldn't you disable your crippling fear of video game spiders?
That's what I thought she would say too!
When Andy and Jane were talking about the doctor who Lego stuff I had the same reaction as Luke and Ellen xD
Mike is an android repairer? I thought he was a robot himself
Oliver Costello that's how he knows how to repair ellen
He must be. You know how much does it cost to fix all the stuff he explodes?
Oliver Costello When you blow up as many things as Mike does, you pick up a thing or two...probably more.
Well I mean, I assume all of our doctors are human, soooo
He's the Bernard from Westworld of OutsideXbox.
Best thing ever was the shaking and freaking out when mention of Doctor Who and it's amazingness in LEGO Dimensions...... Ellen was so excited that she couldn't even laugh she could only shake.
I think Ellen's given me a new life goal, buy the rights to Kingdoms of Amalur and make a sequel. With like, robots, and meese, and crocodiles.
Kael Talvadore And blackjack! And hookers! On second thought, forget the blackjack!
I would pitch in ;-p
Luckily KoA is so big/diverse in playstyle that you can easily play it multiple times and the art style means the graphics don't go bad much either.
Ellen will love you
Just no spiders.
Ellen, I'm one of those people who bought Kingdoms of Alamur because of you. I love it so much! And now I've got another friend who just bought it today. It's such a good game! Thanks for always talking about it, otherwise I don't think I would have ever gotten it.
there needs to be a twitter account for the Vase of Mescutio
"You're like a really angry owl" And the way I look at Luke was never the same. Mind. Blown.
So... Luke's garage door sounds a claxon when it opens? What does he keep in there?
The excitement at 7:20 just put a huge smile on my face
Still sad we never got a Knights of the Old Republic III. :(
This is just the thing I needed to brighten my day. The intro alone always makes me smile. Love you guys at OXtra, you're amazing!
Game that needs a sequel?
STAR WARS REPUBLIC COMMANDO
(Also, the book series needs to be wrapped up)
There's more story in the Legacy of the Force books, I gather.
I love this show so much. You guys are doing such a great job entertaining and informing us. The Lego part of this show spoke to my family personally. I'm the old gamer and Doctor Who fan. loved the doctor who geekout!! #10ftw
As an outgoing introvert, I know exactly what you are talking about, Ellen! It's like we're wading through water and everyone else is walking about on land. 😊
I genuinely would love to see a playthrough of Kingdoms of Amalur (because it's not on XboxOne). Go on... 😎
Dr. Who, Hobbit, Harry Potter, Hobbit, Sherlock, Les Mis, and Hamilton references all in one video?! The collective amount of geeking out you guys did in this video is going to make me fangirl all over myself. You guys are spoiling me with the amount of fandoms and nerding out that happened in this week's show
camera man James knows what's up
These little videos are always able to put a smile on my face.
We (my girlfriend and I) play them all the time on the WiiU. please please please let ellen have a play through series of kingdoms of amalur :'(
What I love most about Ellen and Luke is their singing voices - I mean how nerdy they are, it's basically how I was in school and being nerdy back then wasn't cool.
No one tell Ellen the building noise sounds like the spider noise from Skyrim.
Ever since Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning was first mentioned by Ellen I have been playing it constantly. It was a game I already loved but hadn't played in a while. Falling in love with it all over again :) thanks Ellen
Double nerdiness? Nerdiness on nerdiness? Nerd... Ception?!
Jayson HijinX nerdcubed. obviously.
Ahh. It's always the one you miss.
No, that's NerdSquared. You need Neridness x Nerdiness x Nerdiness for NerdCubed.
This is more nerdiness than I had bargained for. Damn you Lego!
Many A True Nerdiness
i totaly use the force on automatic doors too, when you get the timing right its so amazing lol
7:37 Could someone please turn down Ellen's nerd setting she's overheating
While Andy and Jane were talking about the Doctor Who spec in Lego dimension I had the exact same reaction as Ellen... So I just bought the whole pack... ty Outside Xbox/Xtra...
Love you all!
is it just me or does luke have a wedding ring on?
Dark_jedi_ revan It's not just you, I'm fairly certain he is married.
Or he's just a big fan of bling, who _really_ knows?
Don't worry Dark Jedi Revan.
There's plenty of other fish in the sea.
He got married to a Link amiibo in a civil ceremony.
Wait for the day Jane, Ellen or Andy get a wedding ring. The comment section, Twitter and Reddit WILL GO BLOODY MENTAL.
Dark_jedi_ revan I've got a severe Andy x Jane ship that I've been keeping ever since I started watching Oxbox.
I have always done the force wave with the automatic doors ever since I was like 5
Does nobody else want a Freedom Fighters sequel?
Andrew Tyrell Oh, yes. So much. You've just reminded me of that awesome game.
Underappreciated gem. The first Kane and Lynch had the same mechanics, but wasn't as good.
Andrew Tyrell
I really want a Bioshock 4 - one that would return to the world of rapture with big daddies and big and little sisters. Maybe not set in Rapture, but certainly feeling the effects of it.
I rarely fucking comment on RUclips, but holy hell did i love Freedom Fighters. Seeing you mention that shit just forced me to say something. That game really needs a sequel, but a good one at that.
I'd love to play a 2nd one of that!
Of course you need to use the force to open the tube's door. How else do you open it?
This got me thinking, I want Lego to do something with Warhammer 40K!
1994chocolatemilk ah that would be something to see
Hmmm, difficult to either Grimdark lego, or bring levity to the Grimdark.
Also, Lego 40K? That's absolutely heretical, you utter heretic.
We merely wish to be friends with all under the unification of the Greater Good Gue'vesa
*BLAM* You Xenos loving filth. :-P
Pfft, you and your golden toilet. When was the last time your god even wiped his own arse :p
this show is a good exercise for my face and abs since I am basically smiling and laughing throughout the entire video, love it
what about bully 2, a sequel to the greatest Rockstar game: bully.
"We should get the Oxbox team to play LEGO Dimensions to get them into Doctor Who."
*Oxbox team proceeds to implode Luke and Ellen's minds with Who tidbits from Dimensions they didn't know until now.*
That was amazing.
Also now the question is: Luke, what would you reprogram in Ellen? (Heck, it would be great to hear all 5 of you voice opinions for each other.) Anyone want to stop Andy being a goth Dark Wizard?
welp, they mentioned Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, time for everyone to reinstall it
Show of the weekend is the perferct compliment to my Saturday morning! :D Also playing any Lego game with Ellen must be the coolest thing ever
No way that Jane isn't going to (if she hasn't already) hack Ellen's programming now that she's an android!
If this were a movie the big third act twist would be that adorable little Ellen was really the evil mastermind behind Jane's machinations the whole time.
@@benjaminbrown5102 My friend's D&D-inspired oneshot was mainly about that
When you said its always a musical whenever Ellen is at the door my mind immediately went to IT Crowd "there's somebody at the door, there's somebody at the door"
wow a 20+ min video mostly about nier automata and nothing about upskirts?
well thats the first
Luke's impression of the sound of building a pile of Lego in the games was amazing!
Sorry to hear about your sister Ellen
Carter Carrio
People with mild CP can live pretty normal lives. They're just not as dexterous as you and I.
It's not life threatening or anything lol it's just annoying.
Yeah, if you watch Ellen's vlogs, assuming she only has one sister, she seems absolutely fine.
You guys make me so ridiculously happy. Thank you. Also, you're very brave for being so near that mug. Mugs can't be trusted.
Games that need a sequel? How about XIII ?
luke's side eye has become my favourite thing for the week :)
*MY FELLOW WHOVIANS!! **_UNITE!!_*
Bow ties are cool
michael holmes I'm more into umbrellas and scarves.
Can't help but feel Luke has secret aspirations to be a foley artist, never passes an opportunity for sound effects
How did ellen get to destroy a shed when the only thing i've done is destroy cars in Ghost Recon by just STEERING?
GTA_Thanos solution: steer more gooder.
Aloo Barber Drive... more... gooder.
this is honestly the best job every!! :') .. joyfully discussing something we all love, making everyone laugh, playing video games for a living.. brilliant :P ..
Luke the lawnmower I found in your garage is really good! Just what I needed, cheers
Thanks for the video. The discussion here reminds me of a video Ellen made regarding accessibility of gaming and the thought around it
The more i watch OXtra/OXbox, the more i want to meet them in person and be their friends.
A smiley and giggly Ellen never fails to lighten my mood and make me smile. So cute and adorable. :)
"I am not throwing away my shot" to mention that Luke's sound affects are spot on! It's good to know someone else uses the force on auto doors and uses sound affects to get his point across! #hookedforlife
My brother and I play the lego games too (first games we played). omg you are like.. idk the first gaming "show" I find funny because you way to interact feels really honest and candid ^^
its fun to watch
Ha, I feel you Luke! I've been doing the force hand on automatic doors for years. It started as a joke and it became a habit.
Lukes freakish ability to imitate sounds and noises always astounds me.
I swear, they had Iron Man hover off screen...
Ellen, never change! You are always a delight to watch as you are.
God I love Ellen and luke, this channel is the fucking best
I was belly laughing throughout the entire Vase of Mescutio bit 😂
