  • In 2003, Franz Baar escaped Colonia Dignidad, a German cult-like sect in Chile, hoping for freedom.
After surviving decades of torture and abuse, he joined forces with a journalist and a lawyer to expose the sect and its cult-like leader. The three have been by each other’s side ever since.
But Franz and his wife struggle to reintegrate into society. Reluctantly, they return to live in a house on the land of the former colony where they soon find themselves ostracised. In an act of desperation, Franz does the unthinkable which leads to his imprisonment.
Yet freedom still beckons with a call from Chile’s beautiful but isolated Eleventh Region.
Surviving a Sinister Sect is a film by Rafa Valdeavellano.

This documentary was incredibly inspiring! After everything they've been through, they still have it in them to move forward! It made me feel that I don't have ANY problems AT ALL! Super encouraged & wishing them both the best that life can give!

Thank you for investigating and bringing the story of this couple, the criminal cult and the involvement of Chile and to some degree , Argentina as well to all of us. I’m so glad that this couple eventually found a place to live peacefully and live out their days with joy with the land that they so clearly love to work. There is so much injustice in the world that never gets reported. Im glad that there is some record of this even if nothing is done by the authorities.

All people involved in this should be locked up forever with just enough food to keep them alive for what they've done

Without Pinochet, Chile would have looked like Venezuela now. The doundation of Chile's high standard of living and economic growth was all due to him.

I really hope you can live your life without your family, knowing that they have been tortured to death... A life devoid of all Human Rights, and then try to utter the absurd comment you did.

World "leadership" is paid by the Bolshevik government to spew their narrative. It's why they kill the intellectuals when trying to enslave everyone ...Khmer Rouge as an example. They cannot compete. It's why they tell leaders of some countries, like Greece, to put down capitalism and build up Deep State Satanic Marxism governance or be made to look like a failure in economic management by the very Bolshevik government that trounced that economy.
Ukraine is another Holodomor genocide. 6-7 million Ukrainians starved to death or executed by the Bolshevik government.

Without Pinochet, Chile would now have a proper democracy and civil society. And many people would still be alive and families intact.

@@seidenstickerj Pinochet was a God! and should have been enshrined as such !
This planet is in dire need of more exceptional, and highly illustrious men like him.
