Absolutely right !!! I also have used it many time for portraits !!! They come out beautiful !!!! At F2.0 they look a bit soft (which I like for portraits), skin colors are the best I have seen so far, nice bokeh at F 2 - F 4. If you use the built in flash, like magic, it delivers the perfect amount of light after evey shot, NEVER MISSES !!!! I use the old X100, have not upgraded yet, Santa Claus forgot about me a long time ago !!!! Thanks for the video !!!!
If you like the X100 series for portraits, you really need to try the TCL-x100 teleconverter. While it adds a bit of bulk to the camera it also adds a lot of versatility. Before the whole covid thing happened, I did about 4 online dating shoots a month(portraits for peoples dating profiles) and my X100F with the TCL was my go to setup. While the F and V have digital zooms built in, the TCL produces far better results as well as provides more background compression that can actually bring out distant details in environmental portraits.
I did look at the TCL converter. It`s an interesting piece for the X100, but I also like how thin the X100F is without the hood or converter. My favourite Fuji lens was the 35 1.4, so I`d love to have this focal with the X100F size camera. On the other hand it`ll still be smaller than my usual Sony portrait setup - so I might give it a try!
amazing portraits. I’m impressed how well you utilize the x100f for something it’s not particularly suited for. I think this speaks more for you the photographer more than the camera itself.
Hey there, I used f/2 for all the images with ss of 1/100 - 1/200 and iso200 - all shot on RAW and processed with LR for color grading. Also a little golden reflector was used to fill the model`s face.

Thank you mate. Appreciate that - the X100F is still an awesome gear for general photography that really pushes you to do more with what you have!
Dynamite music along with great color portraits. Thanks for putting these videos together.

@@DigitalRetro 👍
Wish you showed more portraits rather than the obvious small size of the camera and where to keep your wallet...
