Thank you for watching this vulnerable side of me. For anyone who might be experiencing the same, I suggest you to try get a break from your craft and do something you haven't done or something you really enjoy doing. Other things will somehow spark some inspiration and get you going again. Don't be afraid to get the thing you've always wanted. It really helps getting into the groove and it keeps you motivated to stay creative!
That really hit home when you mentioned the importance of drawing that line between getting content vs enjoying the moment, it def can be hard at times to balance that
Take photos that please you, the photographer. It’s an art form therefore completely subjective, so people either won’t like it or will. The only thing that matters is how you personally feel about it.
Didn't expect this one to be so inspiring! Being confident in this hobby/career goal is always challenging for me. Glad to know accomplished creatives like yourself go through similar rough patches 😊
Definitely with social media it’s hard not to compare. Everyone goes through it and it’s totally normal! We got this 🙌🏽 sending you the lut pack soon brother!
"I am at the mercy of my client, will they approve this?" Captured a pain point where lots of people would recognize themselves and are inspired to hear how you managed to turn that obstacle into an opportunity. Good storytelling Victor!
Yeah, I feel like no matter what stage you are in your creative career, there's always this self doubt lurking. Good to turn a negative energy to something good!
I have this very same Fujifilm camera. The results straight out of camera. are fantastic. The way the flash works seamlessly with this camera is brilliant. The great thing is that when you take a portrait picture the person does not feel intimidated at all. Will not be selling it anytime soon 😅
Thanks for this video! ❤
YOUR not an imposter sir ! your an inspiration to thousands of us
Thank you so much for the comment. I'll try to continue providing some inspiration for ya'll!!
Absolutely not an impostor bro! Your videos are some of the most inspiring stuff I've seen online!
I appreciate you, Ged! Thanks for the kind words!
I bought this camera for the same exact reason, I wanted something that fits my style without the need of spending hours post processing. The film simulations plus my 1/4 strength black mist filter are more than enough. I love it!
Your content pushed me over the edge to buy an a7iv and dive deeper into photography/film, so thanks for that bro. You most certainly inspire many more
That is so amazing to hear, thank you brother. I’m gonna try to continue to hopefully inspire more people!
I RECENTLY WENT TO JAPAN AND YOUR PICTURES FEEL LITERALLY HOW IT FELT FOR ME BEING THERE!!!
that's amazing!!!!!
Love the vibe dude! Great video ✌🏻
Thank you my dude! It's gonna be my new look / vibe moving forward so stoked for it.
Fantastic video, incredible shots. Every day I get more and more sold on Fuji.
Thank you dude! I appreciate it! Yeah the Fuji is definitely fun. I want to keep playing with Fuji cameras
Want to go back to Japan! its amaaaazing contrast comparing to Iceland, where im living.
When i watched your FX30 videos, i absolutely fell in love with your craft don't call yourself an impostor, because thats your creativity your style and no one can take it from you. Even if you do think your work is not good enough at times, I personally love your work dude! Keep up the good work and i wish you the best of luck!
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 came back stronger with a new look! I hope it continues to grow.
@@VictorLaforteza looking forward to it!
Really enjoyed this! I’ve just sacrificed my Nikon to buy an X100F and have been going through some withdrawals and self doubt. Struggles with focusing and using recipes as well as trusting what I was doing despite what I was seeing in the rear viewfinder. Your video helped me chill a bit ;)
But like you… I’d become stale in my DSLR and had lost interest… the X100F has made me slow down and look at everything in a different way.
X100F is a pure gem! Gotta love how it makes you slow down and focus on the basics as well.
Damn bro, I've seen some of your work and let me tell you that you are not an imposter! I'm constantly amazed by the work you've shared on your social media :)
Thank you bro! Means a lot coming from another creative. I came back super refreshed and ready to go with my version 2!!
amazing photos!
Thank you! So fun with the Fuji!
Hey victor, I am your fan from Rajasthan, INDIA. Learning lot from your videos. Your FX30 series is just best💯 on youtube. The cinematic video and the rise start of music behind that is what i like the most. You also include humans, nature and small things in your cinematography, i love that. 👍Keep it up!! Best wishes ❤ Mr. Victor . And one more thing - Idea of using Yellow Color subtitles is just wow.
Thank you my dude! I'm glad it's reaching all the way to India and that you're learning from the channel. I hope to continue sharing my knowledge with filmmaking with you all ❤
@@VictorLaforteza Same man ! From india !!
Been disconnected for a while from my hobbies which is taking photos. And rightly pointed out by you when you're in the industry for too long. Hobby and work do get into a mush. But this video was very insightful. Thank you for doing this man 🙏
I am hitting a brick wall myself too. Everywhere I go, I bring my sony A7r4 or r3, I am thinking of getting a 2nd hand X100F and hoping just to go back to the bare basic and find some motivation on my creative eyes! You video came up just in time!
Great stuff buddy! Never compare your own work with others, stay focus!
Limitations breeds creativity, that's for sure!! I got mine used in Korea and it's been a blast going back to basics. You got this brother! Take a break here and there too. It helps. Yeah! I came back strong with a new look :D
@@VictorLaforteza I agree! I am glad that you’re back! Now I need to go contact the seller haha!
Never give up!
I take pictures as a hobby and wasn't having much fun with my Sony A6000 so I sold it, went a couple years without a camera but then I found out about Fuji X series and bought an used X100F and I never felt so emotional about the photos I take, I'm loving it
Amazing video, inspired me to pick up a Fuji, what’s that light box you have in the close ups of the camera
it's a panel light from pixelhk!
should we expect episodes sir where you show how your photos are edited? really love your content here. truly film look is not dead
yes! working on it :)
whenever I feel imposter syndrome I try and learn a completely new style of filming or photography or even animation/vfx. However small the new skill i'll acquire I'll know I've added something of value to my toolkit. I end up appreciating myself and my effort more
That's a great way to deal with it! Going back with a better skillset is one way to improve ourselves!
what is the song at the end of
Ola, i just bought the Fujifilmx100f and I'm curious were the videos recorded with the fuji or mainly your Sony?
Photos were Fuji and videos with Sony!
very valuable insights, thank you. how do you handle the "pressure" to constantly also shoot video on a trip like that?
You're welcome! I had dedicated days for shooting! in this this I had 2 out of 6 days. The rest I had my camera with me and see if I could shoot anything good in between anything. If I got a good shot, great. If not, I just let it go and move on to what I'm doing next.
@@VictorLaforteza I really like that idea! Much more focused approach than switching back and forth between modes. Will try that on my next trip. Thank you!
Physical controls ftw.. down with touch screens
hey victor! where can I find this Kodak shirt ? :))
I could only find them in Korea!
Oh man that's ma Problem I don't want to use me Sony cameras because of this Feeling... Workmode...I stopped shooting photos 🤔 that mean I should buy a fuji camera
potentially! can also be any other camera that inspires you to shoot for fun!
@@VictorLaforteza I think fuji has this vintage vibe. Thanks
你好!在日本講中文XD

$1000 camera😅
Haha I got it used for $500. The used market now is so highly marked up because of how popular they are.
Nice pix, and great video! you're too hard on yourself! Relax and take some photos--- you're right, social media is nuts--- lifes to short to compare yourself to instagram--- or tiktok -- that's hyper fake .
Thank you! I appreciate the thought 🙌 we're back at it again!!
