When the government endeavors to destroy strong family units that instill good morals and values with destructive policies you get a slow rot that leads to hopelessness and that is what you are seeing in these states. When the US went through the Great Depression of the 1930's, our population had no Welfare, Unemployment, Soc. Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc. to "fall back" on! But, America also did not mount up billions of dollars of debt, because of this! Yet, most survived, w/o them! Americans need to return to a more self-sufficient attitude & begin to live within their means!
