Just started playing this gem again on PC, such an underrated game. This has the potential to be Sony's own Resident Evil like franchise. It deserves a sequel for sure.

It's still on my PC and I haven't uninstalled it as I love going back in from time to time doing hordes.
Not sure what needed fixed. My wife got me the game for Christmas in 2020. I had never even heard of it. Man am I glad she took a chance on it. Turned out to be my favorite game of all time.
Anybody else here own the physical release that contains V1.11 on disc? Was very surprised when I picked my copy up a year later and found it was one of the rare Sony published non-GOTY releases that contained a patched release already on disc (the general jank at launch being why I waited for so many patches to drop).
That's rad. I don't know which version it was but one of the fans on the subreddit tried probably 1.11 and except some funny glitches with enemies dead bodies turning into tents, to his surprise it wasn't that bad as he had thought. We still all experience funny glitches and it often has to do with the PlayStation-console not being restarted in a while. And since the ones giving Days Gone a bad score because of lots of bugs probably had their consoles going 24/7 for days without any restart but just using sleep mode leading to memory leaks. I think that could be one reason we are looking at to how they experience it as buggy.
I recently just found out about this game and got it on PC and I'm hooked this game definitely deserves a sequel and I'm liking the story so far I think I'm about 75% done
Heck, I loved this game when it first released. Played it non-stop until I finished the main storyline. And damn, was it a long game. Not like most of these titles coming out today that offer under 20 hours of gameplay. Days Gone is a f'n legendary title, IMO.
I played the whole thing without the update day one....and it was fine. Only issue was frame dips on the bike.....and a bug where the cave I was meant to enter was closed....but a restart fixed that.
Played it the first time without update. Just few bugs and the game crashed at some points but I just didn't care because I was so hooked and loved the experience, everything just felt enjoyable.

masterpiece? God... the bar is very low nowadays. Every game is a "masterpiece" or 9/10. Even a generic open-world game. Its almost all about graphics these days. Had it had shitty graphics, you would be calling this a mediocre game. Be honest.
Critics are so stupid. This was and is a magnificient game. They're not in tune with everyday people. I'm glad word of mouth went against the narative being sold.
Days Gone was a victim of what I like to call the "It's good enough, but that's not good enough" effect. It had its problems, but I feel like it got way more hate than it deserved. I'm glad people are starting to like it now. Hopefully a Days Gone sequel or spiritual sequel would be great!
I bought this game a few months after the launch on sale. I was very hyped for it, being a big fan of Bend Studio's work. However, immediately after starting the game for the first time, the graphic assets wouldn't fully load and Deacon would fall through the ground and the game would get stuck in a forever-falling loop. No big deal, I'll just restart the game. And it happened again. Third time's a charm? Nope. So, I didn't play the game until several months later. There were still some issues with the game but I was finally able to play it and it became one of my favorite games. But because of the poor state of launch, I wasn't happy with John Garvin's comment saying, "If you love a game, buy it at f****** full price." To that, I say... how about you finish the game and put it in a playable state BEFORE it launches, and then maybe it would be worth full price.
I think what hurt the game the most with critics is that there was no attempt at artistry on the level of the last of us. So it suffered from the comparison But if you don’t feel like every single zombie related game has to be the last of us, it’s a pretty good game It also conform to my philosophy of “never pay more than $20 for a game.“ there are three things that happen when you wait until the game cost only $20. First, you’re in a better frame of mind. You’re not thinking “I paid 70 bucks for this?” Second, it usually means that the game has been patched significantly by then Finally, it saves your money. Duh I almost never break that rule and I find I enjoy a lot of games a lot more than other people did.

I started playing DG for the first time about a month ago. I thought it was great. I didn't experience any bugs and was overall very satisfied with it. It might be the best zombie game I've ever played.
I never had any problems with the game playing it for years on PS and then PC; it has been flawless. The fact that some people didn't rate it highly removes their credibility to me and I won't bother listening to their opinions on games, and I guess I can add "Gaming Bolt" to that list.
I remember the first time playing days gone, everything just feel enjoyable. The side missions never felt like a chore unlike many other games out there. A sequel is a must. Sony don't be stupid.
this turned out to be one of my all time favorite games. really a shame that the critics killed this game upon release. I am ashamed to say I sort of listened to the mass negativity and didn't even play it until it arrived on PS Plus. Then I bought it after seeing how amazing it was to show my support.
The minor improvements for me would be: The HARDEST DIFFICULTY is TOO EASY (excluding the horde) The reason being there is TOO MUCH LOOT. Reduce is it so there’s a feeling of scarcity in the open world’ resulting in heightened EXCITEMENT and sense of achievement when you find something you desperately needed. DayZ & TLOU does this so well. 2. OPTION TO HIDE THE HUD COMPLETELY & REMOVE RETICLE for more immersion. I get that total removal can cause frustration with navigation but give us the options to customize HUD. It’ll force the player to get lost in a good way and use road signs and memory to learn the terrain. With those two changes, I’ll enjoy the game even more. However, this is my second playthrough now more smoothly on PS5. It’s still enjoyable now as it was then.
It was fixed by like July 2019… lol and I played it at launch and in my experience it was NEVER anywhere as broken as the so called journalists claimed. My only problem was the frame rate dropping terribly during rain storms.

Enganging story line indeed and very enjoyable game....until our dude found his wife, the center of the whole story and she started acting illogically out of character, almost blaming him for still being alive and totally blowing him off while some rando black dude is wearing her wedding ring, and our guy is like..."Naaah it will be fine, I'll win her love again no matter what". Am I the only one that finds this waaaay out of character after setting up the story as a true love romance or somesuch, but she forgot about all that and can't be even bothered to ask how he survived? Yeah, I'm uninstalling it, they lost me with this on purpose done illogical nonsense just to embbarass and mock the main hero of the story, No thanks
@@Putin-man actually, it made alot of sense to me, she thought he had died, the colonel had rules against relationships, he was obviously a nutjob. she had given up hope of ever seeing deacon again and kept him at arms length because her focus was to create a cure. you can see her shifting attitudes and the emotional nuances as time goes by and she realizes that hes survived all this time and they can survive together despite the situation the worlds in. he gives up everyone he cares about to show his love and support, sacrifices it all for her. had nothing to do with trying to embarrass deacon, had alot ot do with her finally realizing he was real, that he was alive, and that his feelings for her hadnt changed except to become stronger. at least that was my take on it, but by that point i was pretty much neck deep in the story.. even sat through the ending credits with a smile and just a sense of "wow".. then it caught my eye.. i hadnt taken the time to get trust with all 3 camps up north... woudl that make a difference? so i took a week off and started playing again. lol.

This game has been fixed for a long time but please keep taking about it so that Sony will come to its senses and give this game a sequel
I love this game beat it 5x also got my platinum trophy really underrated so many games that are buggy but ppl cried over this one now we will never get a 2nd game due to the cry babies
oh , I hit the devs up on a semi regular basis
Anyone who hates or hated on this game are casuals who shouldn’t play games at all.
Fuck Sony for not letting them make Days Gone 2
blame moist critical and other tubers who krapped on the game early on. Really messed with sales , i love this game
this game did not sell well and thats the bottom line considering the cost these days. It’s all about money thats it
@@davysmith8569 same with Cyberpunk. All these youtubers and bloggers and influencers just need to spit out content as often as they can. So they jump on any hot topic and just parrot each other, being as low effort as possible, saying what others want them to hear.
It was the same with the hate on Cyberpunk when it released. They just abused click-baits without having a personal opinion.
Sadly, wide audience is very ignorant, and media/influencers are extremely toxic.
@@stanislavkimov2779 truth. It’s really difficult to get a top tier game out the gate with zero issues. Day 1 they killed it and never praised it when all issues were fixed. Cyber punk as you mentioned was another sad loss . Pretty good game now
@@stanislavkimov2779 Cyberpunk was fine on release for PC, I played it without much issues. Most the complain was with the console and people with potato pc, it ran like crap. I could understand people were piss not able to play but for PC with a decent rig no problem it ran fine on day 1. I know this game going to be crap on console before release seeing how intense the graphic were and there it happened.
I'm still playing this game, i just reset hordes after clearing all of it. It's fun and there are so many ways to kill them. I hope DG2 will happen in the future.
Is a fun sandbox if people complain about lack of story should go watch a movie, this is a game and it is meant to play not to watch.
Been fixed for so long that no one remembered it had issues, until this video.
i never see open world zombie game better than days gone
this game 10/10 for me
To be honest I played the game about 50% on the regular ps4 and the rest on the ps5 and never I mean NEVER had any issues
Days Gone is a MASTERPIECE! the voice acting and character interactions are way better than some top tier Hollywood movies!, The combat and controls are perfect & the zombie hoards are amazing to witness! I literally have nothing bad to say about this game! For me it's the best Zombie game ever made and one of the BEST games in general ever made!
It's one of the best games I've ever played.
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played. It’s honestly amazing! I wish they’d make a sequel!
Bought Days Gone a week or so ago, and been playing it ever since. Fantastic game, and what really makes it is the story and the characters. The actors really nailed it.
THe adrenaline rush from beating a horde takes some matching too. 9/10 game for sure.
Just started playing this gem again on PC, such an underrated game. This has the potential to be Sony's own Resident Evil like franchise. It deserves a sequel for sure.
The hordes on Days Gone were SO much fun.
For me i didnt even bother with the hordes it scares me, but i did them after i finish the game
A very light RDR with Zombies, great game!
Undead nightmare
@@Ronuk1996 I was going to say I'm pretty sure there is a Red Dead with zombies. I actually liken Days Gone to the Witcher on Wheels
...mixed with Mad Max which Bend probably took inspiration from - Another truly underrated game that feels even more unfinished and needs an upgraded patch for PS5 to unlock 4K@60fps. Or just play it on PC or Xbox Series
I just finished Days Gone PS5 version, it's perfect. We need a sequel
There is no PS5 version
@@kasiadinero1695 the PS5 version is the one with full resolution and 60 fps. Its like an upgrade, that's all
It’s far from perfect. The human AI is bit dumb with no peripheral vision. Though the horde battles make up for all lack of thrill
I just recently got my ps5 a few months ago and days gone was always on my radar never did i get a chance to play on ps4 and being a Oregon native i am finally running through this game and its got me hooked as i must be about 40 hours in . ❤
At 1:35 he just proved how little (if at all) he "played" the game if at all... calling the "Freakers" undead
I started on PS4 but rebought it on PC and loved the fuck out of it. Didn't have much issues. Minor glitches but very replayable.
This game is an imperfect masterpiece. Didn't play it until it came to PC, but glad it's here.
Days gone is one of the best games EVER made, period.
It is just criminal that Days Gone never got a sequel ...... Replayed it recently and it is still freaking awesome ....
I remember I bought this about a month after release and quit playing it waaay to early, I gave it a 2nd go around a couple years later and man I was mad at myself for quitting so early. One of my favorite games ever. Such an adrenaline dumb when you fight the hordes. Super underrated!
Normally an xbox fanboy, so id never played days gone, but had heard it was mint, so i recently went and bought a ps4 and im hooked, its a masterpiece...The last of us next, bring it on
I have never played Xbox but I felt that Days Gone felt more of the type of game Xbox players would have loved. I hope more Xbox fans get to try it out on either PS5 or PC. It's truly a great game on all consoles but on PS5 or PC in +60fps it really shines.
This video is 5 years late but ok
Yea seriously lol 😆 🤣....
Just like the game.
This game holds a special place in my heart.
This game has been fixed for years. I played it like 6 months after release and had zero issues. Such a shame this game was kind of ignored too, it’s great
This game was really good. A slow start. But when I finished it, I was impressed
We could've had a sequel to this. Instead, we got Concord.
Yeah, it's crazy thinking about how much more money Sony would have made if they had Days Gone 2 and Days Gone 3 made instead.
Between TLOUP1 and this game, I must say I enjoyed Days Gone more than TLOUP1. Both are great games, but I just like the gameplay and open world concept of DG. I never got to play the game on PlayStation as I've never owned one, so I've only played it on PC from GOG.
🧡 I thoroughly enjoyed playing *Days Gone* !
I’m playing it again and seems like theres a lot more wolves, mountain lions, bears and breakers every time I hit the road.
I beat this game in 19. Didnt have any issues at all after that big update lol
@@josefelfinito6925 I just find it strange, how compared to an Assassin Creed game or a Bethesda game. The game was barely buggy at launch and they fixed it in no time. But those other games have gotten passes. But Days gone was crucified.
@@wkadalie Same here. Cyberpunk even did worse at launch, yet these clueless journalists gave it a high score, and they heavily criticized days gone for other reasons that doesn't make any sense. It's really strange. I hope sony have a rethink and stop being stupid.
@@josefelfinito6925 Games journalists are hacks....they're just failed youtubers at this point or political journalists.... they don't represent gamers. But these game companies listen to them.... though even they are starting to realize how little they matter. When you have games like Stellar blade that just gives gamers what they want....instead of pandering. Or trying to be political..... then you can make a lot more.
This game was fixed when I played it 3 to 6 months after launch. It’s so underrated it’s crazy. The people who shit on this game are the same people who rate the bloated FF7 rebirth a 10.
Nothing wrong with game, played it back to back to get platnium some years ago. Sad we aint getting part 2
This game is awesome. Platinumed it twice
GamingBolt, I love your channel so much, I just had to subscribe!
I played it about a year after release. It was fixed and extremely fun then. Anyone that bought into to journalists hate on this game is doing themselves a great disservice. PLAY THIS GAME! it’s great.
It was never broken, I got it day 1 and never had an issue, great game please give us the sequel 🙏
Playing it right now and it still has some issues with hordes spawning. I’m talking at the end where all hordes you haven’t killed in story are available.
The title tells me you were part of the problem with this game... bad unwarranted press. The game was a masterpiece, but this channel has the need to put out content... unnecessary or not
masterpiece? God... the bar is very low nowadays.
Yeah me too. I finally got to see what the fuss is about. Truly a gem.
Like a minor fix that didn’t break the near perfection we thought it was…..but a fix was made. And I wouldn’t notice ?
Days Gone was a victim of what I like to call the "It's good enough, but that's not good enough" effect. It had its problems, but I feel like it got way more hate than it deserved. I'm glad people are starting to like it now. Hopefully a Days Gone sequel or spiritual sequel would be great!
the community found out there was a significant part of the map that was cut content or a DLC that never got released.
Where in game or what?

I feel like replaying...i left it because of how stressful the hordes were...
I think what hurt the game the most with critics is that there was no attempt at artistry on the level of the last of us. So it suffered from the comparison
But if you don’t feel like every single zombie related game has to be the last of us, it’s a pretty good game
It also conform to my philosophy of “never pay more than $20 for a game.“ there are three things that happen when you wait until the game cost only $20.
First, you’re in a better frame of mind. You’re not thinking “I paid 70 bucks for this?”
Second, it usually means that the game has been patched significantly by then
Finally, it saves your money. Duh
I almost never break that rule and I find I enjoy a lot of games a lot more than other people did.
never realized it was broken. Even my playthrough on PS4 Pro seemed very fluid, not flawless but nothing to complain about.
Fixed?!? This game i 100% on STEAMDECK and now on new game plus so many emotions playing this game i think its better than the last of us and has great actors like debora from mad tv and so many more i dont see what all those sony guys were complaining about this is one of the best sony games ever made
Im about to beat horizon forbidden West on deck I now own all songs best games on my STEAMDECK and play god of war spiderman uncharted and all on the go too bad ps won't make a new PSP I would possibly go back to consoles just for it but for now STEAMDECK plays everyone's games and it's so awesome 👍😎
Love Days Gone , but I'm not sure how a sequel would turn out without Jeff Ross being involved.
The most underrated game for years. I just finished it for the third time and enjoyed every second of it.
Underrated game
Criminally underrated. Deserved a sequel
Such an under rated game. This game should have sold way more copies than it did. Awesome game!
This game is so understed. Just finished it again. Great game world, the hordes scare the shit out of me and i love the story.
Looking at what I've seen so far from Fooster's playthroughs, this game strikes a good balance between free roaming and advancing the main story. It feels much less linear than TLoU series and perhaps more immersive because of it. Underrated indeed
I’m a launch player of this game and quite frankly the game was never broken in the beginning
For those asking for a sequel their is a petition with 1.6 million signatures.Sign that petition and keep promoting this game and hopefully we get a sequel
Just finished the story in about 40 hours, seriously some of the best written characters in gaming, I really hope we get to see Deacon again if people keep making content on this masterpiece
Days Gone needs a sequel. One of the best open world survival games I’ve ever played. So good and so underrated.
All we need is days gone 2 this is my favorite game in the world
I think the story with Deacon really wrapped up....just that cliffhanger with Nero could have been cool for a sequel....
It got cancelled by Sony unfortunately 😢
@@wkadalie they can make days gone 2
I started playing DG for the first time about a month ago. I thought it was great. I didn't experience any bugs and was overall very satisfied with it. It might be the best zombie game I've ever played.
Still has bugs that need to be fixed and still is a mediocre zombie survival game.
I never had any problems with the game playing it for years on PS and then PC; it has been flawless. The fact that some people didn't rate it highly removes their credibility to me and I won't bother listening to their opinions on games, and I guess I can add "Gaming Bolt" to that list.
Played it a little over 3 years ago. Had a blast. Didn’t notice in the least it needed fixing.
I remember the first time playing days gone, everything just feel enjoyable. The side missions never felt like a chore unlike many other games out there. A sequel is a must. Sony don't be stupid.
Days Gone was seriously underrated 😢
this turned out to be one of my all time favorite games. really a shame that the critics killed this game upon release. I am ashamed to say I sort of listened to the mass negativity and didn't even play it until it arrived on PS Plus. Then I bought it after seeing how amazing it was to show my support.
I loved this game. If Sony doesn't want the IP, then please sell it to Microsoft. I want part 2.
nah microsoft will make it flop
Days Gone was one of the first games I picked back up after 2 years of not playing. I saw it on Steam, grabbed it on a whim, and I really loved it.
I really wish they had an online co-op mode with friends that truly would've taken this game to the next level, overall fun game
I love this game beat it twice and been wanting to play it again
The minor improvements for me would be:
The HARDEST DIFFICULTY is TOO EASY (excluding the horde)
The reason being there is TOO MUCH LOOT.
One of the best games sony offered, never had an issue with it on ps4..
Ive never been more angry about a game not getting a sequel than days gone. Ive completed the story several times and enjoyed it more it each time... Great game
best game in the last 15 years. absolutely immersive story line, great voice acting.. huge fan.
@@Putin-man actually, it made alot of sense to me, she thought he had died, the colonel had rules against relationships, he was obviously a nutjob. she had given up hope of ever seeing deacon again and kept him at arms length because her focus was to create a cure. you can see her shifting attitudes and the emotional nuances as time goes by and she realizes that hes survived all this time and they can survive together despite the situation the worlds in. he gives up everyone he cares about to show his love and support, sacrifices it all for her. had nothing to do with trying to embarrass deacon, had alot ot do with her finally realizing he was real, that he was alive, and that his feelings for her hadnt changed except to become stronger.
at least that was my take on it, but by that point i was pretty much neck deep in the story.. even sat through the ending credits with a smile and just a sense of "wow".. then it caught my eye.. i hadnt taken the time to get trust with all 3 camps up north... woudl that make a difference? so i took a week off and started playing again. lol.
The game is a 8/10 for me! If it was shortened on it's final act and had clothes customization for Deacon it would've been a 9/10.
I'm just waiting for a sequel to days gone and sleeping dogs 😔
Quick reminder that it never was terminally broken and that Journalists killed this game.
THIS GAME IS PEAK!
And history has proven us gamers right. Sony’s obsession with review scores and following the ideas of critics lead them to concord and a WOKE MESS!
