I feel like this is the turning point for Lorelai and Luke’s opinion of Logan. I will admit that I was not his biggest fan in the earlier seasons, yes he can be arrogant, snobby and think all he has to do is be charming and everything will be fine (ie telling Rory he loves her when he is trying to get her to forgive him) but he is also caring, compassionate and loving and not afraid to go to the one person he knows will help him get through to Rory: her mother. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, particularly when you know your significant other’s mother is not your biggest fan. Logan also rightfully stands up for Rory when his family is talking down to her, he LIKES that she wants to be her own woman and work for her living and not just be merely someone’s wife. He LIKES she has her own identity and I’d be willing to bet her fire, determination, and spunk are what drew him to her in the first place. Even if someone tries to hide it, they can’t help but have respect for someone who stands up to them and calls them out on their bs. When Mitchum is yelling at Logan, you can literally see Lorelai and Luke’s opinion of him start to shift. He goes from being the spoiled rich kid with too much money and privilege to a young man who is trying to carve out his own path in life and is being suffocated, oppressed even by the demands and expectations of his family. He didn’t have to invite Lorelai and Luke to spend the weekend with him and Rory but he did because he knows how much they both mean to her. I am officially on Team Logan, I doubt Dean or Jess could have handled that with the dignity Logan did. He was embarrassed by his father’s actions but he still has enough class to apologize and excuse himself in a dignified way instead of storming off without saying a single word
I never understood this part. Why cancel your June 3rd wedding day if you are thinking of eloping? Doesn't make sense the excuse that he is trying to sort things out with april 1st before the wedding but then bring up eloping. Seems silly
Lauren Graham's physical affection toward Scott Patterson is stiff and it appears she doesn't touch him any more than she absolutely has to. When she does those scenes with David Sutcliffe, she's much more affectionate and natural and enthusiastic. It's backward.
From what I've read, Lauren Graham was much better friends with David Sutcliffe than Scott Patterson. She probably had an easier time doing affectionate scenes with him. Actors do their best, but sometimes their true feelings come through.

Yes and Lorelai left her parents rich life style and didn't cave in to work for her dad. Unlike Logan who said he didn't want his dad lifestyle but never got out of it.
@@EruvieBruinen because the one that had a god sleep probably snored and kept the other up, or the well rested kicked or otherwise interrupted the others sleep. Then while they need to get the sleep they missed out on they wake them up with a brag? If this show was real life he would have been poked in the eye lol

I love this whole episode with both couples at Martha's Vineyard. Luke and Logan bonding is the best.
