@@dianacoulter8116 I`m not saying I don`t like the paring of Rory and Jess they are great and I love the chemistry but the reason I lean more on Logan`s team is because his attitude towards Lorelai was more respectful if you ever have a relationship with someone you have to respect the mum that is the most important relationship
The main thing that keeps me from liking Lorelai is that Rory can treat people like shit and still be an angel. if someone else slips up they're the devil though.
You don’t understand. A parent has to defend their kids in front of others who’re taking aim at them. After the dust settles a parent gets the truth and then decides whether their children deserve a lecture or consolation in private.
He was a bad influence for sure. She might not have done it had she not been involved with him, who is used to being bailed out by mommy and daddy. But I agree, she's an adult who can make her own choices. Yet her mother blames him. which is the root of Rory's bigger problems- in her mother and her grandparents' eyes she is always faultless.
@@karleecraziness9216 yes I agree Lorelei does not have Rory take enough responsibility for her own actions. However, like any kid who gets in with the wrong crowd, they might not consider something like that without that influence

why do I feel like Logan is so underrated? He was thoughtful enough to ask for his girlfriend's mother for permission to marry her like no man does that these days. People throw too much shade onto Logan for what?
That's because your parents don't get to decide whether or not your SO decides to ask you to marry them. It's an incredibly toxic attitude to assume that someone's parents get to decide any facet of their adult child's life. Partents. Don't. Own. Their. Children.
@@unematrix I don't think it was so much as Lorelai dictating Rory's life, it was more of a sign of respect like he valued Lorelai's opinion. And let's face it if Rory and Lorelai had a relationship like Emily and Lorelai then he wouldn't have asked. He understood how close Rory was to her mother and took it upon himself to show an extra sign of respect.
Lorelai always seemed so uncomfortable around Logan almost as uncomfortable as she was around Jess. Dean always seemed to be her favorite of Rory's boyfriends. Maybe it was because Dean was as small town as she was so she felt like they were kindered spirits in a way but if she was to look at it as a "whats best for Rory" type situation she would see that Logan was the best fit for Rory just like Luke was the best fit for her. I really dont think Lorelai gave Logan a real shot because of her own prejudices about his background which fyi is also HER background i.e family legacy, money and social standing. I really appreciate how much effort he put into getting her approval though and i really think her words to Rory was the real reason she declined his proposal at graduation. Which was bitter/sweet for me. I could understand they were young and she had things she wanted to do with her life but i also feel she could still accomplish everything she wanted and eventually settle down with logan. He was never the type to block Rory from doing anything he was always so encouraging and supportive.
oh yeah Logan has more brain cells then Lorelai. Lorelai didn't jump off a cliff drunk and stoned and almost got herself killed doing. oh wait that was Logan. Lorelai has more them Logan ever will.
i hate lorelie in the last scene. ihate her reaction bc i think it stems from her not wanting rory to move away. she cant handle the fact that someone is gonna have more of rory than her and she cant handle letting rory go. she's o clingy
She neglected her own personal life didn’t she? She should have used Rory’s college years to move forward. She even could have had another child if she’d wanted to.
These are interesting, because we see moments where both Dean and Logan try to redeem themselves to Lorelai, and they're character building moments. Do we ever see one of those with Jess?
Cause they didn't talk about marriage at all or the important things that comes with marriage. She wasn't ready. She didn't know what her future would hold for her. Would you marry your partner if marriage wasn't talked about or they decide where you are going to work or live.
Lorelai built her whole life around Rory and didn’t plan to move forward in her own personal life, independent of Rory, as Rory grew older and more into a life of her own. Lorelai relied emotionally on Rory too much.
I don't understand people who think these two have so much in common just because they're both from wealthy families. The fact that Lorelai walked away from her parents because she wanted to be in charge of her own life and not live a life defined by her parents rigid expectations, much less have them be imposed on her baby, is such a key part of her character. This is something Logan would never do in a million years. He plays at being a rebel with childish pranks like stealing trinkets from rich families (ignoring the countless maids he probably gets fired in the process) and is generally an insufferable snob to anyone he sees as being beneath him (the way he talked about Marty and to Jess really says it all, and I don't care that he was jealous or wanting to show off in front of Rory in those moments, it's still obvious he thinks he's better than them). Lorelai also has a lot of flaws sure but buying into Emily and Richards classist bs was never one of them. She was willing to work as a maid if thats what it took to have her independence and provide for Rory. Logan just wants to talk about how challenging his life is without ever considering the actual tough choice of walking away from it. His 'freedom' isn't worth that much. As much as he complains, he loves the comfortable life, the boat parties, the cosy path laid out for him if he just follows his dad's footsteps and never steps out of line too much, knowing no amount of childish fratboy pranks will ever endanger his golden future. The fact that she chose to walk away and actually build a life for herself and he never will says it all.
