This has never been a problem for those who hold the view of pre millennial. It seems pretty straightforward, i did not know there was a great difficulty in understanding. The pre millennial view are the beliefs of the early Christians.

In Daniel chapter 9 there isn't the speach of the messiah at all. It speaks about "one" annointed one (Mashiach). Not of "the" annointed one (Ha'Mashiach). That's different. Why do all the christian scholars point out, that this "messiah" should be destroyed after 69 weeks? The scripture says clearly, after the 62 weeks one annointed one will be destroyed and no one will help him.
I am not considered about this way of teaching Daniel 9 and the 70 weeks. I believe, the 70 weeks were given to point out to Kyros and to Antiochus IV. Epiphany and to the last "antichrist". Not to Jesus his first coming. Daniel 9 is completely misinterpretated by christian scholars. ^^

The most holy IS Not the ark. Jeremiah 3, explains that at the time of messianic peace, that the ark won't be needed. Jesus said "destroy the temple and I will raise it in three days". The building He meant that will be built without hands is his body. Himself. We are gathered in him because, his death is for all(who believe), in the same way we live in his resurrection.

Correction... the Ark was not found in the Garden Tomb, but beneath Golgotha in an underground tunnel. The Garden Tomb area nearby has a platform over the crucifixion area and you can see the crack in the rock going down to it.

Based on Hebrews 9:15, the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26 cannot be separated from the New Covenant fulfilled by His blood at Calvary.
Is the New Covenant found in Daniel chapter 9?
Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel to reveal the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then the angel failed to even mention the New Covenant. Or, is the covenant with the many in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the many in Matthew 26:28? The 1599 Geneva Bible is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America, before John Darby showed up on our shores about the time of the Civil War. What was the earlier understanding of Daniel 9:27 found below in the notes of the 1599 Geneva Bible?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dan 9:27 And he shal confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
    Daniel 9:27
And he (a) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to (b) cease, (c) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
    (a) By the preaching of the Gospel he affirmed his promise, first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles. (See Rom. 1:16, Matt. 10:5-7, Acts 10:36-38)
    (b) Christ accomplished this by his death and resurrection. (See Heb. 9:15)
    (c) Meaning that Jerusalem and the sanctuary would be utterly destroyed because of their rebellion against God, and their idolatry: or as some read, that the plague will be so great, that they will all be astonished at them.
    (See Matt. 23:38, Matt. 24:1-2, Luke 19:41-44)
    ------------------------------------------------
During recent years many New Covenant scholars have examined Daniel chapter 9 from a New Covenant perspective. Did Christ fulfill the summary found in Daniel 9:24? Is it about the New Covenant fulfilled by the blood of Christ at Calvary?
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
    Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (These two verses are quoted from Jeremiah 31:31-34.)
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
    Act 10:37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
The death of the Messiah is found in Daniel 9:26, and there are only two possible singular antecedents for the word “he” in the next verse. Those antecedents are either Christ or Titus, who was the prince of the people that destroyed the temple during 70 AD.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Is the “he” in Daniel 9:27 the “Messiah”, or “the prince” of the people that destroyed the city and the sanctuary in verse 26? If we used “the people of the prince” it would not be a singular “he”.
Does the author of the Book of Hebrews connect the New Covenant with the Messiah’s death found in Daniel 9:26, in the verse below?
Heb 9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. (NKJV)
Verse 26 also says the Messiah would be cut off “after” the 69 weeks. If I agree to paint your house “after” 69 weeks, it will not be painted until the 70th week, or after. Is there a “gap” of almost 2,000 years between the 69th week and the 70th week, or was it fulfilled during the first century when the Gospel was preached “first” to the Jews?
We know there is a time period when the Gospel was taken “first” to the Jews, as the Apostle Paul said in the verse below.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
Can we find a time period of about seven years when the Gospel was taken “first” to Daniel’s people during the first century? If we can, we have good evidence that the 70th week of Daniel has already been fulfilled.
Did Christ command His disciples to take the Gospel only to Israel in the passage below?
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'
Is the time period when the Gospel was preached “first” (Rom. 1:16) to the Jews in the passage above, confirmed in the passage below?
Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
    Act 10:37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
In the passage above Luke confirms the fact that the Gospel of Christ was preached throughout the land of Israel after the baptism which John preached. Here again, we have a text which reveals a time period when the Gospel was taken “first” to the Jews, as Paul said in Romans 1:16.
Bible scholars have looked at the number of Passover celebrations in the Gospels and have estimated Christ’s earthly ministry to have lasted about three and one half years. Was the Gospel taken “first” (Rom. 1:16) to the Jews for a period of about three and one half years during the period of time revealed in the Gospels?
In Galatians 1:14-18 Paul reveals he did not go up to see Peter until about 3 years after his conversion. During that time the Gospel continued to be taken almost exclusively to Daniel's people, before Paul took the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Hebrews 1:9 is item #6. Destruction of the temple and the city is not at all in the prophecy as shown in verse 24. The 70th week is over. To say it hadn't been fulfilled is to say that Gabriel and Daniel are false prophets because it didn't happen within the prophecied 70 weeks.

Hey brother. You may want to read this. Bless you.
“And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

Dr. Brown.... The Most Holy could very well be the Ark of the Covenant which a Rabbi in Israel confirmed was found beneath Golgotha in the Garden Tomb... It makes sense when John's account makes a point of saying the rocks split and the blood and water spilled on the earth. Also his statement that the blood bears witness in the earth. The Temple Institute believes they have found it.....Very curious, yes? Fits perfectly. He anointed the side of the altar reserved for the Messiah.

I don't believe, that Daniel 9 is speaking about the coming of Yeshua. It's alao not speaking of the destruction of the second temple. But it's speaking of the coming of an annointed one after seven weeks and also of the coming of an annointed one after 62 weeks, because after that 62 weeks an annointed one will be destroyed and no one will help him. And it's also speaking about a lord to come in the 70th week, who will strengthen a covernant with the many. The seventy weeks Frage started in the year 605 b.c.. Seven weeks (49 years) later came Kyros (who was annointed by god himself). Also starting from the year 605 b.c. 62 weeks (434 years) later came Antiochus IV. Epiphany, who died after the 62 weeks.
The angel told Daniel about the 70 weeks, that there are three timeframes: 7weeks, 62weeks and 1 week. But he didn't tell at all, that all three timeframes have to be put together. But he told, that:
"From that time, as the word appeared to build up Jerusalem to that time, an annointed one, a lord, will come are 7 weeks and 62 weeks." Both frames has got the same startingpoint, and that startingpoint is defined by Jeremia 25. There we can find three timeframes, which all three talk about the year 605 b.c. "The first year of Nebukadnezzar, the fourth year of Jojakim and the 23 year of the ministry of Jeremia."
Also pointed Daniel to a vision, which he had before, where he saw the man Gabriel before and also Gabriel pointed to a vision, which Daniel should understand, if he listen carefully to the words of the angel. And that vision can only be Daniel 8, the vision about the ram and the goat and the 2300 evenings and mornings, which Daniel should seal up, but he could not understand that vision at all, there was no one to explain it to him. And here in chapter 8 he met Gabriel for the first time, and Gabriel explained the ram and the goat. So in that meaning I believe, that the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 have something to do with the vision in Daniel 8.
By the way: The word messiah doesn't even appear in Daniel 9. The hebraic word, which is "translated" as messiah, is "mashiach", which just means "an annointed one". But "the annointed one" in reference to Yeshuah is in hebraic "HaMashiach". But this also doesn't appear in Daniel 9.
So the last week, the 70th week is speaking about the coming last King, who is often called the antichrist.
I believe, that Daniel chapter 9 should show us the coming of the medo-persian empire (the ram), the coming of the "first" little horn in the person of Antiochus IV. Epiphany and the coming of the ultimate little horn in the person of the antichrist.

I agree. I like to state in this way: "Yeshua fulfilled the Law and prophecy in the context of God's Eternal Covenant by paying the ultimate price for the penalty of unbelief." He is "the temple" and we who believe are in it (Him). He is our "righteousness" and we who believed, as Abraham and the prophets before him since Adam, are "declared to be righteous."

People forget that the Bible has no chapter breaks. They read DANIEL 9 as if no more evidence on the subject will be forthcoming- that Daniel 9 is somehow an entirety unto itself and whatever it says can only be interpreted by that chapter as some kind of sealed prophetic subject. But the fact is that chapter 10, 11, and 12 continue the prophecy from that time to the time of the end. In chapter 10 a heavenly man arrives whose appearance is awesome (I assert it's Christ) who then tells Daniel future events in even GREATER detail. By chapter 11 a contemptible person is foretold in verse 21 who by verse 31 sets up the abomination that causes desolation- the SAME one foretold in Daniel 9:27! Reading further, to the end of Daniel 11, it tells of the death of the one who sets this up, and in the VERY NEXT VERSE, it says:
"At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt." Daniel 12: 1-2
Since the dead have not been raised yet, how could this have been fulfilled during the Maccabees? Or how could the 70th week have been during the 2nd temple's destruction? No. In FULL CONTEXT, the 70th week could only be a future event. Remember, the chapter breaks though useful, are man's invention and cloud men's minds!

Could you point me to the location in the Bible where Jesus ended the requirement for offerings and sacrifices?

    • @paulbriggs3072
      @paulbriggs3072 Год назад

@@michaelseay9783 The Old Covenant made clear that sacrifices required the temple and its furnishings, Aaronic priesthood, and so forth. Matthew 24: 1-2 says:
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
So here Jesus makes clear that the very buildings of the temple complex would be destroyed, rendering the sacrificial system impossible. This destruction took place in 70 A.D. when the Romans destroyed the temple and sacked Jerusalem thus fulfilling Jesus' prophecy. No temple or sacrificial system has been created since, The sacrifice that the Lord requires now are repentance. In fact even the Old Testament says
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Psalm 51:17
      In fact Hebrews 10 says:
The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
      but a body you prepared for me;
with burnt offerings and sin offerings
      you were not pleased.
Then I said, ‘Here I am-it is written about me in the scroll-
I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”
By repenting in the name of Jesus, and loving our neighbor as ourselves, now we fulfill all the law and the prophets. See Luke 24: 47 and Matthew 22: 37-40.

When Jesus returns the second time the Earth will be destroyed at the brightness of His coming. It will be melted with fervent heat and no man will be left on it. His feet do not touch the Earth and He does not set up an Earthly kingdom. No scripture says that. It DOES say that He will come back to get us and take us back to Heaven to meet the Father and have the supper of the lamb. We then will be in Heaven for 1,000 years.

Of course Daniel 9 is a Messianic Prophecy.
Some say " Davar " means " Word " but not a commandment neither a Decree.
✓ Davar" דבר is instead well used in the sense of "command", "edict" or "order" in the Tana "kh.
    Example:
"If the King therefore think it so good, let a Royal Edict (davar) be issued from him, and let it be written between the ordinances of Persia and Media, and let it be irrevocable."
In Esther 1:12, also, "davar" דבר refers to the order that King Ahasuerus gave to Queen Vashti:
ותמאן המלכה ושתי, לבוא בדבר המלך, אשר, ביד הסריסים; ויקצף המלך מאד, וחמתו בערה בו
"But Queen Vashti refused to come to the command (davar) which the King made her do by the Eunuchs; and the King became very angry, and his anger was kindled within him"
Note, moreover, the terms used in Daniel 9:25 :
    דבר להשיב ולבנות ירושלם
"The word to restore and build Jerusalem"
A" word " to do something can only be a permission or a command to accomplish the thing in question.
Now, neither Yirméyahou nor Daniel received a "word" to rebuild Jerusalem but only prophetic oracles predicting this event.
✓ The term "kareth" כרת to refer to entrenchment in the world to come is actually attested only in talmudic literature in the context of asmakhtot, but is not found in the Tana "kh where this expression expresses only the CESSATION of a thing, or, when it concerns a man, an abrupt and violent death.
This is observed in the following verse:
    הכרת מנחה ונסך, מבית יהוה
"Offerings and libations are taken away הכרת at the house of the Lord" (Yo'el 1:9)
Yirméyahou uses the same expression in relation to a righteous innocent persecuted by the ungodly, who obviously have no power to extirpate anyone from the future world:
ואני, ככבש אלוף יובל לטבוח; ולא-ידעתי כי-עלי חשבו מחשבות, נשחיתה עץ בלחמו ונכרתנו מארץ חיים--ושמו, לא-יזכר עוד
"But I, like a lamb that is led to be slain, did not know that they had made some scheme against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and cut it downונכרתנו from the land of the living, and let its name be remembered no more" (Yirméyahu 11:19)
✓ since the he word Messiah has no definite article then it could b ANY Messiah .
    False!
if the rule that a common name to refer to an "exclusive individual" must be preceded by the definite article were absolute, the first verse of the Torah would pose a serious theological problem.
    It reads in effect:
בראשית, ברא אלהים, את השמים, ואת הארץ
"In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth"
If the anti-missionaries were to follow through with their reasoning, they would have to conclude that according to the Torah, it was not God, but "one" god among others whose identity is not known, who created heaven and earth, since it does not say האלהים "Ha-Elohim" (the God), with the definite article, but simply אלהים "Elohim", without the article.
The biblical verses that refer to God as simply "Elohim" are countless.
Let us further illustrate our points with this example which the book of Daniel offers for our perusal:
וישם להם שר הסריסים, שמות; וישם לדניאל בלטשאצר, ולחנניה שדרך, ולמישאל מישך, ולעזריה עבד נגו.
"And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names, and named Daniel Beltshazzar, and Hananiah Shadrakh, and Mishael Meshach, and `Azariah `Aved-nego." (Daniel 1:7)
There was only one "chief of the eunuchs" in the king's court. Yet the text does not say "hassar hassarissim" השר הסריסים, with the article but "sar hassarissim" שר הסריסים, without the article.
That the term משיח "mashiah" is not preceded by an article, and that it does not say "ha-mashiah" המשיח, is therefore in no way proof that Daniel did not speak of the Messiah.
As for Agrippa, to suggest that he is the one referred to in Daniel 9:26 would be to lie to the Bible.
According to the sources of the time, he was never "cut off" at the time of the destruction of the Second Temple, but died of old age around the year 100 A.D., i.e. almost three decades later.

Thank you for the great study. Similar to one of my brothers in the comments section, it appears to me that the most likely explanation for anointing the most holy has to do with the ark of the covenant resting below Golgotha. I completely understand that that sounds crazy. I started out a total skeptic, myself. But I spent a whole year analyzing the claims and the discoveries of Ron Wyatt, and came to the conclusion that God used this humble man to reveal a message to the world through object lessons. Noah's ark and Sodom / Gomorrah stand as testimonies that God will indeed judge sin (2 Pet 2:5-6); the Exodus of Israel testifies of a God who wants to lead his people out of spiritual bondage (Rev 18:4); the giving of the law at Sinai testifies of the ultimate standard by which sin will be judged; but the blood of Christ on the Mercy Seat testifies that God has let the judgment of the law fall upon Himself!, that He may be fully justified in extending mercy and grace to all of us!
I finally concluded that if Ron Wyatt was not used by God, then his life is an enigma. Apparently not after fame (you don't have to watch much to see that he's one of the most humble men on RUclips); apparently not after money (he spent far more of his own treasure revealing the validity of God's word than he ever asked for from anyone else); apparently not like the ark hunters you've seen in the national enquirer - unlike the stereotypical crazy claims you're used to hearing from offbeat sources, in each case, Ron presented physical evidence for the discoveries he claimed. You don't have to agree on the interpretation of the evidence, but unlike the other crazy claims you've heard... There IS evidence! I've traveled to Egypt and Israel, and seen much of it myself. Ron provided as much evidence as an amateur archaeologist in the 1980s could possibly provide. Video documentation, radar scans, soil analysis, as well as very observant scripture analysis.
It's all there. You can believe it or not believe it. But at least in the case of Ron Wyatt, he gave you much to look at, to think about, and to pray about.
It would appear that, out of two decades of finding an explaining incredible discoveries in our world, and sharing that evidence freely with all of us, the one thing that God was not ready to fully reveal through physical evidence, is the blood of Christ on the Mercy Seat. That's the one thing which (for the time being) God has seen fit to give us the testimony of one man. But if you think about it... That's how it's always been. Ron Wyatt never claimed to be a high priest. He saw himself no different than you or I. But it would appear, that during these last days, God has seen fit to allow one man to enter into the holy place to bring back a report that the blood of Christ sits upon the Mercy Seat - justifying the demands of the law and setting us free to experience salvation through FAITH what God's done.
And if you can get past the initial shock of that crazy sounding claim, and step back and invest some time in studying the life of Ron Wyatt as a whole, this actually provides a super compelling object lesson for the gospel, and also an explanation for the anointing of the most holy.

With all respect, these are some of the most ad-hoc interpretations of scripture I’ve ever heard. If god wanted to communicate that sin would be done away with and prophecy would be completed after 70 weeks, how could god have expressed that any clearer than what we see in Daniel 9:24? It’s only because sin continues to this day and prophecy has yet to be fulfilled that believers were forced to re-interpret this passage in a way that renders it unfalsifiable. There’s no chance in hell that Dr, Brown would be advocating these interpretations if he was living prior to the first century. Face it, the prophecy failed,

The prophecy made under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, failed you say? How ad-hoc can you get to say that a prophecy made by the omniscient eternal God failed?

You bring non biblical presuppositions into your analysis of this prophecy and it never works nor should it. Oil and water so to speak. That's why it's easy for you to dismiss Daniel's prophecy as failed.
Jesus said, "When the Spirit of truth is come He will guide you into all truth." (John 16:13)
Peter wrote, "prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." (II Peter 1:21)The Spirit of Truth cannot lie since it is the Spirit of God.
The key is understanding that those in Daniel's day did not realize that the Messiah would come twice. Jesus came and provided the atonement and then left with a promise to return again. Much of what was prophesied of Him was fulfilled at His first coming but much will also be fulfilled at His second coming .Then there will be an end of sin.
Thank you and blessings to you.

@@davidwinter6148 "You bring non biblical presuppositions into your analysis of this prophecy..."
My claim that the prophecy failed isn't a presupposition, it's a conclusion based on the fact that sin did not cease at the completion of 70 weeks like Daniel said would happen. If, hypothetically, God had put an end to sin after 490 years (70 weeks of years) would you not have considered that a fulfillment of Daniel 9:24? That's not a rhetorical question btw, please answer it.
If Daniel was inspired by God and if God knew in advance that sin would not cease for another 2,000 years after the completion of 70 weeks, then those 2,000 years would have needed to have been factored into the initial prophecy as another 250 weeks in order for it to be correct. If you think I'm misinterpreting the words "put an end to sin" and "finish transgression" then just honestly ask yourself how you would have interpreted those words prior to the first century. If your current interpretation differs from how you would have interpreted it prior to it's purported fulfillment, then chances are you've molded your interpretation in order to fit the record of history. That's what I mean't by the term "ad-hoc". If, hypothetically, Daniel meant to predict that when 70 weeks are completed, sin would no longer occur on the earth, how do you think Daniel 9:24 would have been written differently in order to convey that message?

    • @chad969
      @chad969 4 года назад +1

@@davidwinter6148 You say "those in Daniel's day did not realize that the Messiah would come twice".
Ok imagine I make a prediction that in 50 years a guy named Bob is going to come along and do XY&Z. 50 years go by and Bob comes along and does X&Y but not Z. However, before Bob dies he claims that he'll be back. 2000 years go by and Bob does not come back. Now would you say that my initial prediction is correct that in 50 years Bob would come along and do XY&Z?

    1. UPON THY PEOPLE
    2. UPON THY HOLY CITY
Fulfilled within this 2 boundaries. NOT WORLDWIDE!
YES. NOT WORLDWIDE LIKE YOUR 7 year Trib...
