I don't know how there could be any question about this. The first time I read it, it was very clear to me King David was talking about Jesus. Jesus is the only one seated at the right hand of the Father AND in Hebrews the Word of God tells us about Jesus, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." I praise God for this because the only way King David would know this approximately 1,000 years before Jesus would die is if God told him. The other awesome thing I learned today was that Jesus died 1,000 years after King David died.

As a Jew, remember all you have to do is to make teshuva and obey the commandments including offering sacrifices, including the offering of two Goats and a bull for the day of the Atonement for the entire nation of Israel. Otherwise, the iniquities won't be forgotten. But don't worry Jesus died as an Atonement offering for our iniquities. So all you will have to do is to make Teshuva and Accept the Messiah as the person who became an offering. And Repentance includes obey the rules of the New covenant - Love one another. If you love someone, you'll stop doing anything that harms the society.

This video was like a denial that this Psalm teaches the deity of Christ. He really seems to be struggling. It is obvious that David wrote this because Jesus says it is David speaking. And the second lord is obviously the human christ (anointed), because Jesus uses it to show that the messiah is David's master or lord.
So, what objection is this video answering. He starts off saying that one objection is that it does not say that the messiah is Lord as in Jahweh, and also that it does not say that the messiah is God, however, he does not touch on this objection in the video even though he says he would look at them and sort them out.

Just to keep things simple, what does לְדָוִד, the very first word of psalms 110 mean? It clearly says "to or for david." This means the person talking is not david, because the psalm is for or to david.
So yhwh said to my master means yhwh said to david because the person talking could be under king david's rule. That is why the master being referred to is never jesus.

it happens that psalms speaks of david as a third person (he instead of I). See psalm 18 or 21 for example. May be because the psalms are intended to be uttered by some singers not by david himself. So the lord/master is not necessarily the lord of david but can be david himself as the lord of the singers.

So if that's the case , what about psalm 51-65
      Lam’natseach. Mizmor l’David
For the Leader. A Psalm for David.
This is beyond any doubt a Psalm written for the Levi’im to utter in the Temple, but look in v16.
      Hatsileini midamim, Elohim
16 Deliver ME ( not Him) from bloodguiltiness, O God….
Where is the perspective of the Levi’im when it is needed the most? How about Psalm 59? Let’s look at how David writes it
      " 1 For the Leader; Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] for David; Michtam;
when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. 2 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; set me on high from them that rise up against me. 3 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from the men of blood. 4 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the impudent gather themselves together against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
Well, do you guys see David writing from the perspective of the Levi’im? I certainly don’t! And we can’t imagine the Levi’im singing these Psalms, saying “Deliver HIM from his enemies” or anything of that kind. So it’s obvious that David never considered their perspective in the first place. David wrote this Psalm, not for the Levi’im to sing in the Temple referring to him, but what God said about the Messiah.
Anyway ,the common phrase "lam'natseach" [for the leader], meaning the leader of the worship, is completely absent here in psalm 110.

The father is King and so is the Son.
Therefore, if the father is Lord that makes his Son Lord.

Dr. Brown. I've had what I believe to be a nice piece of revelation from God on this passage after trying to learn Hebrew and meditating on controversial passages like this. The key is in verse 5. As you know, there is no difference between adoni and adonai in written Hebrew without the Niqud which was invented well after Christ. This word(whether adoni or adonay or a combination of both) is used twice in Psalm 110. Once in verse 1 and once in verse 5. It's 100% clear that verse 5 is about God so even Rabbinic Jews translate that to mean God. But all the other references to God in Psalms 110 is YHWH, verse 1, 2 and 4. Is it possible that the ADNY in verse 1 and 5 are the same person? I say very much likely but we can't prove it right? Or can we? Well, the ADNY in verse 5 is said to be at Your right hand. If we translate it as the same ADNY in verse 1, it makes perfect sense. But if we translate it as YHWH, then we have a problem. In verse 1, ADNY is at YHWH's right hand. But in verse 5, we'll have YHWH at ADNY's right hand. That is impossible in reality but if we take it figuratively, then we have two persons who are equal in position of power and authority because their positions are swapped in the same context. So no matter which way we decide to understand verse 1 and 5, it becomes problematic and blasphemous without the Trinity and without ADONY in verse 1 referring to the Divine Messiah :)

  • @user-vm6en5tu3d

    Adoni = non deity
Yeshua is Adoni and not Adonai.
“In the Hebrew Bible, adoni (“my lord”) is always a non-deity title usually referring to a human superior or occasionally an angel, whereas adonai (literally "my lords") is reserved for God alone. In Jewish tradition, the pluralization is used to distinguish God from earthly lords and to increase his majesty.”
See ‘Hebrew Bible’ from link below:

  • @faithinGod77
    @faithinGod77 6 лет назад +3

Good explanation. I would add that the word "Adonay" in verse 5 (The Lord (Adonay) is at your right hand) refers to deity about 351 out of 354 times. Amos 7 shows the interchangeable use such as e.g v.1 Adonay Eloyim (the Lord God), v.2 Adonay Eloyim (O Lord God), v3 YHWH (the LORD), V4 Adonay Eloyim ( O Lord God), V. 5 , 6, and 7 the same usage of Adonay, then YHWH in v.8 (the LORD said to me). This establishes the inescapable truth that the one at the right hand of YHWH is deity. Thanks

M Krafts, the word “Shiloh” is a Hebrew word that means “ he whose it is.” But, it is not perfectly agreed among the learned what is the precise meaning of the word. But it is pretty certain, according to its derivation, it either signifies “he that is sent,” or, “the Seed,” or, “the Peaceable and Prosperous One.” And that the Messiah is intended, Jews as well as Christians generally acknowledge; the word being expounded of him by all the three Chaldee paraphrasts, the Jewish Talmud, and many of the latter Jews also. Till He (Messiah) came Judah or Judea possessed considerable authority and power, but at or about the time of His birth, it became a province of the Roman empire, and was enrolled and taxed as such, Luke 2:1; and at the time of his death the Jews themselves expressly owned, “We have no king but Cesar.” So therefore, “Shiloh” refers to the Messiah-Yahshua.
Hence it is undeniably inferred against the Jews, that the Lord Yahshua is “He that should come,” and that we are to look for no other; for he came exactly at the time appointed.

Not a Jew nor a Christian, but if you like to get my honest opinion about this chapter, it surely is talking about King David and not someone in the future. Why?
Adoni (lord or master) is the word used in the phrase and it does not denote divinity.
1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Who has the power to make thine enemies be his footstool? It is not King David, it is God, the real God, the One who's power is beyond heaven and earth.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
The people of Jerusalem will be the force of King David to rule over his enemies.
4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
King David is not just a King, he is also a prophet and a priest. If this is Jesus how can he be a priest since he is a divine being? Can God be a God and at the same time priest?
5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
The king that is exalted by God will destroy his enemies easily.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
This is what will happen after a king ended a conquest/war, he will give justice and punishment to all the people, it will be a bloody situation, kings from different countries will be affected by his rule. Jesus never accomplished these things in his lifetime.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
A beautiful scene in the end of the story, the king will gloriously drink fresh water in a stream, lifting his head, praising God for all the magnificence he received.
This is a psalm by King David, though it's about him, he didn't directly quote himself/his name. Can you find a song with the name of the song writer included? This is about inspiration from God and not a story of a divine being coming to earth and get punished by his mere creations.

The historical-contextual exegesis of Psalm 110 during the Monarchic period would likely have been read and understood to be King Solomon as the primary referent in these verses. The speech of the Psalm is most likely King David who gives a prophetic oracle to Solomon, similar to and consistent with the Davidic Covenant of 2 Sam 7. From a historical-contextual reading of Psalm 110 during the Monarchic period, there was no dubious idea of a deity Messiah sharing the essence of divinity with YHWH to form one God. This erroneous idea of a divine Messiah god was conjectured by the NT Authors whom postulated their own eisegesis of interpreting Ps110 beyond it’s scope in such a way as to introduce their own presuppositions, agendas or biases about Jesus, just as the NT authors did by exaggeratedly applying the personified wisdom & Logos/Memra literature/theology to (Mis) interpret the historical prophet and messiah Jesus after he left this world

Matthew Property, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the High Priest of Zadokite lineage, was crowned in a vision in Zechariah 6:11. He was somehow a prototype of Melchizedek (king-zadok). Since the sedition of priesthood in 171BCE, his descendants fled to Qumran and wrote the secret of Melchizedek in 11QMelchi. 11QMelchi says when God will avenge the kings on earth, Melchizedek will take the role of God in Psalm 82 and is equated to God. This scroll is a great discussion about Melchizedek. Melchi was not equated to Shem and did not open a yeshiva.
If David were Melchizedek, then Solomon wouldn't have to install Zadok into the post of High Priest. Solomon could've combined the priesthood with royalty.

Yes but doesn't the case of "the daughters of Zelophehad" carry a precedent? That of a womans right and obligation to be the conduit of inheritance when no legitimate male heir was available?? (Numbers 27:1-11)
And the the pre-law case of Judah and Tamar also shows how necessary Tamar was. God saw the men as being expendable, killing Judah's firstborn second born and by passing the next in line Shiloh. We know it had to come through Judah but Tamar was the one consistent conduit. A constant feature. (Genesis 19)
Same with Abraham and Sarah. Sure it had to come through Abraham but if Sarah was dispensable why did God by-pass Ishmael? Because the woman is just as necessary

When the true messiah comes (not in the second coming, but the first one) this will happen:
1 - The exiled Jews will return to Israel (but 70 years after Christ the Jews were exiled, the opposite happened)
He will lift up a banner among the nations and gather the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four ends of the earth.
    (Isaiah, 11)
    ___________________________________
2 - The knowledge of God will fill the earth. (this has never happened, there is a lot of evil in the world yet)
No harm or harm will be done in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
    (Isaiah, 11)
    ___________________________________
3 - Animals will not eat other animals anymore
The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie with the kid; and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling will live together; and a little boy will lead them.7. The cow and the bear will graze together, and their young will lie down together; and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
    (Isaiah, 11)
    ___________________________________
4 - There will be a resurrection of the dead (never happened)
Therefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will open your graves, yea, I will bring you out of your graves, O my people, and will bring you into the land of Israel.
    (Ezekiel, 37)
    ___________________________________
5 - Reconstruction of the temple in Israel (it has not happened yet on the other hand at the time of Jesus the temple that was there was destroyed 70ad)
I will make with them a pact of peace, which will be a perpetual pact. And I will establish them, and multiply them, and set my sanctuary among them forever.
    (Ezekiel, 37)
    ___________________________________
6 - The Messiah will do justice to the poor and kill the wicked (Jesus did not do justice in the world, he didn't kill anyone and unfortunately he was killed by Rome over 2000 years ago)
but he will judge with justice the poor, and will decide with equity in defense of the meek of the earth; and he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.
    ___________________________________
7 - There will be an era of full peace, without wars (It never happened)
And he will judge among the nations, and will rebuke many peoples; and these shall turn their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles; one nation will not lift up sword against another nation, nor will they learn war any more.
    (Isaiah 2)
    ___________________________________
8 - The peoples will go to Israel to learn the commandments of God with the Jewish people.
(This never happened, in fact the majority of people always hated and persecuted the Jews, eg Romans, Inquisition, Nazism, Palestinians, atheist and some lunatic christians etc...)
Many peoples will go, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways, and that we may walk in his paths; for out of Zion the law shall go forth, and out of Jerusalem the word of the LORD.
    (Isaiah 2)
    ___________________________________
9 - The Messiah will be a descendant of King David and will be an active king when he comes
In that day the root of Jesse will be set for a standard of the peoples, to which the nations will resort; His abodes will be glorious to you.
    (Isaiah, 11.10)
    ___________________________________
(But Jesus was never a king, he died and he was the son only of Mary (virgin) who was not a descendant of King David, Joseph who would be the descendant is not the father of Jesus.)
    ___________________________________
10 - The Messiah will make the people know and keep God's commandments (Jesus is adored as higher than God's law)
Also my servant David will reign over them, and they will all have one shepherd; they shall walk in my judgments, and keep my statutes, and observe them.
    (Ezekiel, 37)
(On the other hand, Jesus' followers see the Law of God as useless , ("Old Testament") placing the responsibility for their "salvation" in faith on a person or blaming the evil of the world on Satan (the accuser) who actually is only an angel who reports to God the ERRORS and SINS THAT PEOPLE commit, he does not create the evil of the world according the the Hebrew scriptures)
    ___________________________________
11 - Immanuel's prophecy is not about a future messiah but in fact about a sign to King Acab of a child who would be born of a YOUNG (alma עלמה) (not a virgin Betulah בְּתוּלִים ) woman in Isaiah's days as a sign that before this child be aware of right and wrong God already would have destroyed the enemies of Israel at that time.
("wrong" translation and prophecy out of context)
    Read Ezekiel 7 in full
7.16. For before the boy knows how to reject evil and choose good, the land of the two kings before whom you tremble with fear will be desolate.
    ___________________________________
12-Both the Jews and the peoples WILL immediately RECOGNIZE the Messiah when he comes. (This did not happen with Jesus, since Jews, Arabs, Indians, Chinese and many many other peoples do not recognize Jesus as messiah neither as a prophet)
And he was given dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that ALL peoples, nations, and tongues might serve him; his dominion is an eternal dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom such that it will not be destroyed.
    (Daniel, 7)
    ___________________________________
13 - Miracles or signs do not indicate the true messiah
To rise up among you prophet, or dreamer of dreams, and announce to you a sign or wonder,
and the sign or wonder of which I have spoken to you shall come to pass, and he shall say, Let us go after other gods whom ye have never known, and let us serve them,
ye shall not hear the words of that prophet, or that dreamer; for the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
    (Deuteronomy, 13)
    ___________________________________
14 - The famous prophecy of the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 does not talk about the Messiah, it talks about the suffering of the people of Israel (the servant of God) coming out of Babylon
    Read Isaiah 40 to 53
and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; thou art Israel, by whom I shall be glorified.
    (Isaiah, 49)
    ___________________________________
15- The bible and the prophets REJECT human sacrifice, because no one can die to pay for the sin of another person, much less all the people of humanity
Parents will not be put to death for their children, nor children for their parents; each will die for his own sin.
    (Deuteronomy, 24)
    ___________________________________
16 - According to the Bible itself when the true messiah comes, he will not be considered God incarnate or a part of God, he will be just a king, an ordinary human being (not divine) with a mission. Because God is not a human being, everything that exists is within God, the Creator of everything.
That's why He is omnipresent, He is everywhere because all places are within Him.
God is not man, so he lies; nor son of man, that he might repent.

GIBBORIM RESURRECTED I did read them and they don’t “prove” that Yahshua is David. Peter said, 29. “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31. he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32This Yahshua God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.” (Acts 2:29-32). So there are TWO distinct PERSONS mentioned here, NOT one. So Yahshua is NOT David. David as a prophet “foresaw Yahshua” and spoke of “His resurrection” and that He didn’t undergo bodily corruption BUT David did. So you are wrong.

Think about this. So Abraham gave tithes to Malki-zedek. Malki-zedek was a king-priest. So while Levi was in Abraham even He gave tithes to Malki-zedek.
“Malki-Tzedek king of Shalem brought out bread and wine. He was cohen of El ‘Elyon [God Most High], so he blessed him with these words: “Blessed be Avram by El ‘Elyon, maker of heaven of earth. and blessed be El ‘Elyon, who handed your enemies over to you.” Avram gave him a tenth of everything.”

Okay now in the beginning of Samuel God says

I respect those who respect me, but those who despise me will meet with contempt. The day is coming when I will break your strength and the strength of your father’s family, so that no one in your family will live to old age. At a time when Isra’el is prospering, you will see a rival in my Dwelling; and never will anyone in your family live to old age. Still, I won’t cut off every one of your men from my altar; because that would make your eyes grow dim, and you would waste away. Nevertheless, all your descendants will die young. Your sign that this will occur will be what happens to your two sons Hofni and Pinchas - they will both die on the same day. I will raise up for myself a faithful cohen who will do what I want and what I intend. I will make his family faithful, and he will serve in the presence of my anointed one forever. Everyone left in your family will come, prostrate himself before him for a silver coin or a loaf of bread, and say, “Please, won’t you give me some work as a cohen, so I can have a scrap of bread to eat?”’””

      ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭15:27‬ ‭
Then we get David being blessed by Adonai
“and as they did from the time I ordered judges to be over my people Isra’el; instead, I will give you rest from all your enemies. “‘Moreover, ADONAI tells you that ADONAI will make you a house. If he does something wrong, I will punish him with a rod and blows, just as everyone gets punished; nevertheless, my grace will not leave him, as I took it away from Sha’ul, whom I removed from before you. So ESAU who Jacob refers to as “adoni” is saying MY GOD ESAU 😂
So obviously it means doesn’t mean God.
But the REASON it doesn’t MEAN anything that special ‘to DAVID’ ‘Mr BROWN’ or ‘YOU’ is
Jacob called his brother Esau his adoni - so it’s a term of respect by it doesn’t mean special in God’s eyes.
It’s LORD GOD doing ALL the work.
So the second “lord” MEANS NOTHING. Because it’s PROOF positive that LORD GOD the FIRST PERSON MENTIONED DOES ALL OF IT.

It just proves that ONLY GOD is to be worshipped. ONLY GOD counts.

It’s STILL a person that DOES NOTHING.
The LORD GOD does all of it.

What about Ezekiel 37 along with 34 and Jeremiah 23 & 30? David will rule under Jesus and God. Not a resurrected David either. Who is this that approacheth unto me? Cannot be Jesus, correct? He will accomplish his will BEFORE that great and terrible day of the Lord. What? That means BEFORE Jesus returns! 2nd messiah, lesser messiah, King David. I think that you should look more closely at the teachings of MBD and MBJ. The blessing went to Joseph. MBJ comes through Joseph aka Jacob, America aka Manasseh. This is how the fulfillment of Gen 49, Deut 33 and Nu 24 happens. The power of lawgiver transfers to "Jacob" soon from Judah. Jesus is the lion of Judah. David #2 is from Joseph/Jacob and is on scene for a period of time before Jesus returns. Who is this that approacheth unto me? Clearly NOT Jesus. David of TODAY. Not a resurrected David. Jesus speaks of this man too, in the parable of the faithful servant, Jesus gives this man responsibility to give "meat" in due season, and when He returns and finds this man doing that, He makes him ruler over all His goods! Paralleled by Daniel 5:7 "he who reads these words and SHOWS the interpretation thereof, will be made 3rd ruler in the Kingdom! Check it out.

The traditional interpretation is this is not talking about Jesus. It was written in the time before the idea of a Greekized divine special superman messiah. Christians added their interpretation much much later. It seems seems to me that it is basically a misunderstanding. Christians don't understand Jews.
The clash started when the Greek concepts met with Jewish Concepts. It was bound to happen, when two cultures collide you have three cultures The pagans, the Jews, and hybrids with their combination. Christians or messianic Jews are hybrids.
I don't believe in Santa Clause, the tooth fairy, Easter Bunnies, virgin Births, ghosts, and resurrections. I don't hear voices, I don't believe in miracles, I don't believe in heaven or hell, nor do I believe the world is flat. However I do believe in something greater than myself, greater than man, Greater than stars, the universe, or the multi-universes. I will call it Hashem, Hashem does not have a face, and Hashem does not do human things. Hashem is not stupid and he cannot be contained in human form.
We read, in a book that has not changed since the time of Ezra, that Hashem made a contract with the descendants of Abraham. the covenant basically a way of life. A method to achieve righteousness, a path of good behavior, for harmony with with one another, and harmony with other nations. When the descendants broke the covenant and people repented (teshuva, part of the covenant) everything was fine, but when they didn't his people were were subject to diaspora until they repented. The first for the Kingdom of Judea was the Babylonian exile that lasted 70 years (Read Daniel 9), the second temple lasted 490 Years, and was destroyed by the Romans. The Jews will remain in diaspora until they repent (teshuva) comeback to G-d) There is no room here for a super being called the Messiah.
There is no room for Jesus for a Jew, we don't believe in fairies, virgin births, or Santa Clause or Jesus. What would be the purpose. We don't need a face.

She was only a young woman whom God used to give birth to the Messiah (Yahshua), by miracle. That is why she was called the Virgin Mary, because she never had relations with any man BEFORE the birth of Yahshua. Only AFTER did she have relations with Joseph, her husband. So she is NOT “GOD”S MOTHER as you erroneously say. So there goes your “Mythology” statement down the drain.
