Loved your videos before including this one... am off to Koh Samui on Feb 16 for 2 weeks scouting it out as a future retirement spot next year.. thanks for your videos... don't give up!!
Thanks for your comment and input. II am glad that you enjoy my channel. Enjoy your time on Samui... a great place to spend your retirement. Safe travels and happy Australia day
Enjoyed your latest video Ged . So we’ll researched and compelling reasons for moving . This island looks beautiful with the white sand etc. looking forward to your next videos of Southern Thailand where I have visited several times . Would be interesting to compare with Hua Hin
Thanks Adrian. Yes it's a great place to live if you like living on an issue. Next video is on the bad things about living on Samui so it will be a short video. Then Krabi and Phuket. To compare with Hua Hin I much prefer living in Samui but Hua Hin is more central to other areas of Thailand which is why I currently live here. Cheers Ged
Hi, Ged, thanks for the really good info. I am considering Koh Samui for my impending retirement. I want to suggest, instead of NY which is quite expensive, to choose a city more representative of average US costs. Keep up the good work, I enjoy it and learn a lot.
Hi Mark. Thanks for your input and comment. I will have a video out soon with comparison with Hua Hin and other places that I have lived including Tampa in Florida that may be of interest. Good luck with your impending retirement to Thailand Cheers Ged
Ged, Because of it being an island surrounded by if course water, how are the mosquitos? I know on some of the small islands that's definitely an issue along with dengue.
Hi Keith. I have not found Samui to have more mosquitoes than other areas of Thailand. To be honest I don't find them to be as prevalent here in Thailand as other hot countries that I have lived in. I found that living in Australia they were a much bigger problem and I was always spraying repellent on my legs and arms to stop them biting but here I have never had to bother. I am not saying that they are not here just that they rarely bother me here. Cheers Ged
Good informative video. I have enjoyed many of your videos, keep up the good work and travel safe
Hi Joe. Thanks for your support I am glad that you enjoy my channel.
