I made this as a gift for someone and it turned out looking so cute!!! I really hope they like it and thank you for the amazing tutorial!!!! You're so very nice to share your pattern with all of us.
I added big ears and they turned out cute too! I used a different color for the face and different for the loops, made the ears out of the face color in between the first and second round of loop stitches. 5 SC across for round 1, round 2 I did dec, 1 SC and then dec. Round 3 was dec and 1 sc. I did a 4 SC gap between ears.
Yarnhild - Crochet patterns - Häkeln I’m going to make theses for a lot of my friends and send them to them as a surprise I’m making a pink hedgehog right now we’ll the spikes are pink I already made a gray one!
Köszönet a feltöltésért.Megpróbálom megcsinálni. Üdvözöllek Magyarországról!
@@yarnhild I'm currently working on this. Took a little bit of practice to get comfortable on the loop stitch but I finally got it. Can't wait to finish. Thanks for sharing this video.
That’s a good question! I honestly don’t how cause I only did make the big ones. But they are quick to make and you can try and see how big it turns out. 😊
Hi! These are great, is there anyway to make the loops a different colour? A family friend has asked me to make some however they want the body and the loops two different colours, I was wondering if that would be possible?? thank you ❤️
Hi! I am glad you like them:) You could change color after every round or you could go for a self striping yarn:) If you change color, just drop it after you have finished the round and then pic it up again later when you want to change color. For a nice color translation, change color before the last pull through. I hope this was helpful.
Sorry, just saw this now! Just make a little v shape. Go out then below for one stitch than up again :) Watch my other videos, like the one with the Christmas tree. I am showing it there.
I'm seriously struggling with the first step, the magic ring. I just can't get it to work. Everyone's videos are different and I'm getting confused. Been trying literally hours 😭 can anyone suggest a good tutorial for rubbish knitters like me?
I have a video that could help you: ruclips.net/video/l_uyOuxDSpQ/видео.html If this dosen't work, just chain 4 and slipstitch in the first chain to make a ring. The you can just put your single crochet into that ring. Hope this works!
I made this but I didn’t realise I was working in the wrong way so my loops are inside my hedgehog 😂 and I couldn’t even flip it because I already put the eyes in place but I made it work and it looks like yours but mine looks more like an angry hedgehog since some stick straight and don’t fall flat like yours 😂
These are wonderful! I wanted to do this on a smaller size like almost the size of a keychain, do you have any recommendations for me on how to make it like so? Thank youuu ❤️
Hi! Try with really thin yarn. I am also thinking on alternating the pattern for a keychain size now. Thank you for the idea! I’ll work on a new version 😊
Hello! I changed my mind and made it into a larger one. I doubled the stitches and because of that the head looked like a flattened volcano, so I added single crochets on the 36th, and 54th. 10 rows is small, so I made 10 more. I had to use different yarns hahaha and I failed the eyes so I just sewed yarn in between the stitches and added a smile to make it cuter. I had so much fun making thissss! I sleep with it at night everyday and my niece loved it very much. I’ll try to make the keychain too for my friend. Thank you very much for this!!!

so cute! do you know what sort of size it would be using DK yarn? :)

For the peas do you have to add a slip stitch and chain one ?
I don’t know if it’s because my yarn is smaller but my snouts are a little longer than yours 😅
Try and add less rounds when you go 1 sc in each stitch 😊
@@yarnhild does the hedgy only have a snout like yours when using larger yarn?

I just have regular worsted weight yarn. Do I have to change anything?
Sorry for my late reply. No, just follow the pattern as usual-😊
Inform your readers to work the loop rounds from the inside so the loops are on the top of the hedgehog
how did you get the mouth to be in that pointy shape? mine keeps turning out as a flat circle :(

@@kaytea143 alternatively you can use chain stitch method starting with two chains..
@@mwflossy I managed it from yarnhilds video thank you :) made 2 hedgehogs now- one this type and one the other video!
What exact yarn are you using? I’ve been having bad yarn fraying problems and really want to get a better yarn for my projects!
I used wool yarn that I found at a local fair. Try to use 100%, thick wool or alpaca for a similar look.
I’ve found that the sugar and cream 100% cotton yarn doesn’t drag as much as acrylic
