As to the lack of photo taking: it might be hard to believe, but prior to cell phones and social media, people did not think to photograph every event in life. Even strange events. There was maybe that "one girl" that always had a camera, but if she wasn't there, photos weren't being taken. 😂 No one had a camera in their pocket or a cell phone (like now), and we rarely thought to get one unless it was Christmas morning or the first day of school. It's just not something people did.
Reminds me of what a witness to the Phoenix Lights once said. His name was Mike Fortson. He has since passed away. He and his wife saw a huge triangular craft - that he estimated to be at least a mile wide - slowly glide in full view in front of his home, whilst there was still enough sunlight available to make out the edge of its shape. They were in awe, and he said it was a profound and life altering experience - he was telling himself not to blink. He said: "If you saw the hand of God descending from the clouds, would you really be running around looking for a camera? - or would you just be too busy staring with your mouth wide open?" He makes a good point.
Agree. It was unusual to take a camera with you, unless you were going on vacation, or having a family gathering, that sort of thing... Special occasions. You had to have film, and often you just wouldn't have film at hand, even if you wanted to use the camera. Oh - and you only got 24 or 36 shots on a roll of film.
Funny how UFO spottings have essentially vanished since everyone started carrying high quality cameras 24/7. Based on 1990s media (and zero understanding of 4th grade level physics), one would have expected us to see a new 4k video of aliens every day now. Guess they're superior beings that traveled unfathomable physical and temporal distances to do nothing except avoid modern cameras.
I found myself in Monroe County Correctional facility in 1991 and heard this story from an supposed eyewitness , the part about making it rain and mist in cells in the old jail.
@MissKellyBean, Well, though it's true that back then no one could be prepared for such an experience, the key word would be "an", as in "one time", by the second time and/or more times after: and no one is prepared with a camera, at this point...yeah, it didn't happen.

I don't know if (the late) Colin Wilson ever heard this story. I am certain he would have included such case in his countless books about Mysteries, Poltergeists, Possessions and Paranormal Events in General!
Thank you so much for your hard work in researching this complex case and making a video about it. You have a natural talent for this kind of stories. All of the arguments brought forward for the legitimacy of this case were correct. To me, this case has many classic characteristics of the "poltergeist" phenomena, which are basically direct interactions with intelligent extremely malevolent entities, which, in turn, is another way of calling demons. The lower-level ones don't usually operate individually, but as a group (they are structured in "legions") and the group can operate as one. They are forbidden to transgress from their dimension into our dimension and reveal themselves in our physical world they way they did in this case, unless....they are "invited", in other words summoned, which equals they have the specific consent of a person. In this case, i would bet you anything that the grandfather was involved with a Satanic cult, at the highest degree. He was the leader of that cult (the image of the "old man with a crown") and therefore, he summoned them on numerous occasions through rituals and high-level witchcraft (or "greater magic" as it is called). Not only that, he made his grandson take part in them, which is how "they" knew about him (that's why he remembered him as a "monster"). Moreover, it seems there had been some prior agreement that upon the physical demise of the grandfather, they would pass to the grandson for his soul. And that's why everything unfolded the way it did. Whoever has doubts about all these things, can search for the concepts i mentioned. These things are no joke and they should never be under-estimated. They do it to mock, humiliate and possibly destroy humans, who are the Lord's Creation. On a more general note, and in order to see how a Satanic cult can influence not just a person, a family, a house, but a whole area/perimeter of houses and streets, adjacent to where they functioned (even if it was in the past), there is a very interesting episode in "Ghost Nation" TV series (very well done by paranormal investigators Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango, formerly from the "Ghost Hunters"TV series) exactly about this topic. Episode 15 in Season 2 called "Lady in Black", which takes place in Newcastle, Pennsylvania, initially about a couple who had lost their 14-year old girl in mysterious circumstances, actually unearths a problem greater than the entire paranormal team ever imagined. While there had been no prior Satanic activity directly linked to the house and family in the past or present, there had been a Satanic cult in that particular area in the 70s (as per the investigators' discovery) and people had been murdered or kidnapped not far away from the couple's house (the couple had no idea about the history of the area when they moved in that house). It's worth watching it in order to better understand how these things work. Discovery channel's "A Haunting" exceptional series, spanning 13 years, also present many real cases of these manifestations. Sorry about the long comment, hopefully it was useful!😀

I was born in Stroudsburg. A few years ago I stopped at a motel near the interstate that was a large outdated place that really gave me the creeps. There was a very strange vibe there, for sure.
Excellent recounting of events. Sady, our purely materialistic ideology has done more damage to people trying to deal with events like this than any other single thing. Up until roughly 200 years ago, perhaps less, the fact there were beings we cannot normally perceive who exist, was not questioned. Nor was it the wild imaginations of 'primitive' man. Including a direct confrontation with an Evil Spirit PRETENDING to be the ghost of a dead human. All of these events involved other witnesses. You mentioned a direct confrontation with an evil spirit pretending to be the ghost of a dead human - I had a similar experience in 2011. I could hear this thing with my naked ears, no equipment. Couldn't see anyone, but I could hear them and it was very clear. My house wasn't haunted and I still don't know what might have triggered it, I was struggling with insomnia at the time but I still do occasionally and don't have this happen. There was direct conversation for nearly 10 hours. It pretended to be loved ones of mine that passed. If I walked out of the room, I could still hear it like it was there next to me but I couldn't find a source of the voice, which amused it. I asked "How am I able to hear you?" the answer was "The soup doesn't make itself." Wasn't so much evil as it was an a**hole trickster, but that's hindsight. In the moment I didn't know if it was ghosts, demons, angels or aliens. I still don't know whether it was all one entity or the several it pretended to be. It told me events that would come to pass, it cut the power to my house for about 30 seconds and somehow the clocks weren't affected. The events it mentioned (very specific ones) did come to pass in my life. I still don't know to this day what I was dealing with. Haven't had anything like this clairaudient experience before or since, thankfully.
@@catmastertrash369 Well, I'll be upfront about this, I've been a Christian for the last 33 years (I'm 53) and this encounter happened in 1993. Two Girls I knew in college had asked me & another guy to be there. The creature initially pretended to be the ghost of a dead 19-year old Greek Fisherman who had died in a boating accdient in the Mediterranean back in 1917. The girls had asked it a number of important questions (One's Grandmother was sick, was she going to die? Etc...) This angered me greatly, the Bible is clear that when we die, we are essentially 'asleep' and know nothing. (Other than EXTREMELY rare exceptions) 'Ghosts' as Pop Culture thinks of them, do nto exist. Good Angels, Fallen Angels and the Spirits of Dead Hybrids, condemed to wander the Earth, are the only 'Otherworldly' beings humans interact with. As my anger grew, the responses on the board grew jumbled and confused. Though she later said she had no idea why she'd asked it, at that moment she asked- 'Is something in the room bothering you?' Quickly, but deliberately, the board spelled out my first name. Instantly, I had one of those events that only took a second externally, but much longer subjectively. I became aware of this being's gaze on me and could 'see' a gigantic single eye, perhaps 20ft tall. But far worse was the force this creature presented. Now, I'm not afraid of humans. I understand there are those who are smarter, stronger, faster, ones who could kill me in a second with a pencil, but they're still mortal. They still have to put their pants on one leg at a time, they still have to deal with bathroom issues, like we all do. But this, 'Thing', though it was releated, was not human and had never been. In life it was stronger than a human could possibly be. It was smarter, wiser (in a worldly sense), more clever than we were. It also had a stupendous aura of malice, a deep hatred and resentment of humans that's hard to understand. Its body may have died, but its hate had been growing over the millennia and was now a monsterous thing. It was utterly terrifying. I felt like a bug on a pin. But then, I started to hear a tremendous sound, like the combination of a Tidal Wave with the roar of a Lion. It soon became all I could hear or perceive. God's Word tells us that when we repent of our Crimes and ask Jesus Christ to forgive us, and become our King and Redeemer, the Holy Spirit of God comes to live inside us. That Spirit was now here, and my fear vanished. Replaced with a sense of glory and joy I can't possibly describe. So, there I was, pivoted between these two great spirits, like a little fly about to get swatted between them, but I was not afraid. I asked, 'Lord Jesus, if my life is required to defeat this monster, I'll gladly give it.' Instead, I had the unmistakable sense of someone putting their arm around my shoulders and turning me away from the confrontation. Along with that, I felt/heard, 'Not now. Not Yet. Now is not the time.' The next thing I know, I'm driving through the nighttime streets of the collge town I was in, listening to a 'Men at Work' album. When I returned to the dorm, the girls and guy were in the dorm's lounge, basically all huddled together. From there perspective, after my name was spelled, I suddenly stood up, said, 'I'm outta here.' and left. Then, things got terrifying for the Girls, as their hands were cruelly pressed to the Planchet as it flew over the board incredibly fast. They managed to pick out a few words, 'My Girls', 'Supposed to be Mine.' 'Promised', then it flew to the 'Bye' word and they were free. They threw everything in the game box, dropped it off at the owner's room and fled to the lounge. I shared the Gospel with them and said that as long as they didn't screw around with anything else like that, they *should* be okay. Which they all emphatically agreed they would never do again. I don't know what, if ANYTHING, you did to get these being's attention. Sadly, you may not have been responsible at all. These creatures can attach themselves to families in a generational manner. Perhaps one of your ancestors did something that gave them a claim on you. All I know for sure, is that your Creator loves you, as He deeply loves everyone He has made. He doesn't want you to come under any kind of oppression, from within or without, nor does He want you to go to the place they will, when they are finally judged. I can't possibly know where you stand or know about Jesus Christ, but if you have access to a Bible, I would encourage you to read the 4 Gospels and the Book of Acts. It's not mythology, it's not fantasy, it's an accurate account of the most important event in human history, where God's Son became a human to take the punishment we all deserve onto himself, so we don't have to suffer it.
@@torikazuki8701 Tales of the supernatural get busted all the time. Some endure because there was no way to examine them. A ghost that is only reported every few years is going to be hard to study. Also, people WANT to believe in this stuff. That's what really drives it.

For the leak obviously 😂 They probably just ruled out his strange behaviour as a grief response after the funeral. At least before things started getting even more strange.
No, it's not odd at all. Demons are not allowed to do whatever they want. They operate within the rules that God sets for them. He has them on a pretty short leash, actually. They're not allowed to actually kill people, for instance. There's only so much they're allowed to do. You should try listening to interviews with exorcists.
Just a small point old chap: It’s actually called: “CIRRHOSIS” of the Liver, not Sclerosis……”Cirrhosis” means the Hardening of the liver tissue…..”Sclerosis”, as in Multiple Sclerosis for example: Means “Scarring” on the Spinal Cord….Hope that helps! Great video by the way…I very much enjoyed it!
@pikachu. Look again !!😂. So, someone not pushing a like button fast enough means he's wrong ? BOTH TERMS ARE CORRECT. Let me guess, you're rather young aren't you ? If you were older, you would have heard the other term used.🙄
Yeah it's annoying when people are skeptics just to be skeptics instead of objectively reacting to what evidence is there or simply refraining from coming to a conclusion rather than filling in the rest with what they believe is or isn't possible. Some of the mental gymnastics being done to explain things end up sounding just as fantastic as the supernatural.
If it is real, which I'm a very open minded individual, but a skeptic before all else, maybe it was a form of what s9me define as poltergeist activity? There is the belief that activity like that, is caused by the unconscious manifestation of otherworldly phenomenon due to the emotions and feelings of the the manifester. We see examples that seem to center around those with a religious or spiritual predilection and children most often. The idea is that those who are already inclined to beleieve in paranormal phenomenon, eill then subconsciously feed into the phenomenon, with children being most susceptible to this due to them being more open to belief and less than rational explanations for things. Maybe, after the death of Don's grandfather, a man who he feared and was abused by, he was afraid that death wasn't the end of it. Maybe the water he supposedly conjured was as a result of his trauma manifesting itself, literally and metaphorically slowly drowning him in it. It could be that religious intervention seemed to be effective, because Dom believed it would be, being a Man open to faith as well. This is my two cents on the matter. I don't really beleieve in events taking place when there is only anecdotal evidence to support them, but it is something that such a wide range of rather disconnected individuals could attest to witnessing such phenomenon first hand. Would've been fascinating if Don could have been studied.
Oh, undoubtedly this, if viable, was metaphysical in nature. The evil one, the "dev-grool", wants to terrorize people and uses the unwitting as pawns and the willing as tools but would rather his presents be doubted with skeptical belief being dubious. I one said to an authority on evil that Jesus rebuked the nay sayers who said : "Look! He casts out daemons by Beelzebub!" Where then Jesus retorted : Santan does not cast out Satan, or his kingdom would not stand." This statement, inter alia, bespeaks unto the kingdom of hell stands as does the Kingdom of Heaven.
I don't agree that lack of photography strengthens the case. Somebody would have hauled out a camera. I don't hold with the "ice dam" theory. But there is another possibility. Nine people are not a huge number. They could have conspired for the purpose of promoting their religion. You said most of the clergy in town didn't get involved, only one evangelical minister. They may have considered this a harmless lie for the greater good of showing that their religion was powerful.
It was 1983. Cameras were expensive and, compared to smart phones, difficult and clunky to use. people didn't carry them around in their back pockets, or haul them out for every little thing.
@@Lauria2875 Yeah but these were cops and jail houses and so forth. They took pictures for evidence. Also it went on for kind of a long time. I also find it odd that of all the tales of the paranormal this is the only time one like this has ever been reported.
@Lauria2875 That's just not true. Of course, there were no smart phones, but disposable cameras cost $5 to $10 at every corner store in the early 80s. I had many at that time. They were everywhere. The film took about 30 photos. And they were lighter than a smart phone. You took them to the drug store and the photos were developed overnight. No photos makes this story just another vaguely spooky story with zero evidence.
@@AirflowToTheTurbo I lived through the eighties, I know what they were like. I know what the cameras were like. Disposable cameras were NOT at every corner store where I lived (there were no corner stores) and the only pharmacy that took film mailed it in to be developed along with the desposable cameras. Unless they were the kind you mailed in yourself. It was also almost an hours drive away into the next COUNTY. As were the nearest McDonald's, movie theater, drs office and Wal-Mart when they came to being. Cameras were a luxury and a lot of the people I knew (including us) who had one, also had a shoebox full of film they couldn't afford to have developed.
There is a condition called tuberous sclerosis complex that causes non-cancerous tumors to grow on major organs like the brain and the liver. Maybe that’s what they mean? 🤷🏼♂️
Would witnessing this incident reasonably prompt a nonbeliever to become a Christian? 🤔 I am honestly curious how persuasive (or not) this dark event would be for most people…
Not at all. It would lead me to think that there are forces in our universe that we are yet to understand. I don't see that Christianity per se has anything to do with it.
@@SolarEclips86 So whatever you do, absolutely do not offer any sort of criticism on anything ever in life or @SolarGoon will tell you to move on. I have no doubt that you voted for Biden.
Skeptical of some things, but I know there are truths coming to us from "the unknown". Awareness is the first step to controlling "things" that want to become real.
Plot twist: every evil thing that calms at Christianity, is actually pleased and quelled to know that a religion, with so much blood on its hands, so many churches that lead through fear & so many Christians so absolutely opposite anything Jesus taught, is that much more solidified in believers.
21:55 😂 "where do we start"...i guess you start by offering logical fallacies? Lol you can't even see the irony in you scoffing at skeptics, so I'll spoon feed you some critical thinking huh? Believing in a thing by default, is the antithesis of being open minded.

The creature initially pretended to be the ghost of a dead 19-year old Greek Fisherman who had died in a boating accdient in the Mediterranean back in 1917. The girls had asked it a number of important questions (One's Grandmother was sick, was she going to die? Etc...)
This angered me greatly, the Bible is clear that when we die, we are essentially 'asleep' and know nothing.
Though she later said she had no idea why she'd asked it, at that moment she asked- 'Is something in the room bothering you?'
Quickly, but deliberately, the board spelled out my first name.
Not Yet. Now is not the time.'
The next thing I know, I'm driving through the nighttime streets of the collge town I was in, listening to a 'Men at Work' album.
Sure..but women were also witches among other things...

The cops were interviewed for this story on Unsolved Mysteries.

Someone is in a trance and unresponsive. They call their landlord and NOT a doctor ? 😂
For the leak obviously 😂
They probably just ruled out his strange behaviour as a grief response after the funeral. At least before things started getting even more strange.
...because of the water leaking everywhere they NOTIFIED the landlord - they sure didn't call him for medical assistance 🙄
You don’t have to say “cirrhosis of the liver,” that’s redundant since you can only get cirrhosis IN the liver (it never affects any other organ).

Anyone else find it odd that goes to always seem to scratch or smack. They never seem to stab or kill orchard. Odd that
No, it's not odd at all. Demons are not allowed to do whatever they want. They operate within the rules that God sets for them. He has them on a pretty short leash, actually. They're not allowed to actually kill people, for instance. There's only so much they're allowed to do. You should try listening to interviews with exorcists.

This was on Unsolved Mysteries a million years ago. There’s no way it’s true
False. Both terms are correct. One is just less popular.

It seems to me an alternative version of "The exorcist"
I think chief Roberts nailed it.
Double Donald Decker
It was his shadow. He manifested his trauma It was trying to get his attention to heal it
Interesting theory Tammi, thanks for sharing 😊
It seems like the sky is the limit with this type of stuff
@@bartstewart8644 true, I was thinking more of the part when he was out on leave.
I've been there, the town sucks as much as any other rustbelt crap-town. There's nothing interesting historically or currently....
*Sclerosis* of the liver? I think you mean *cirrhosis* 😊
Drunk pronunciation
There is a condition called tuberous sclerosis complex that causes non-cancerous tumors to grow on major organs like the brain and the liver. Maybe that’s what they mean? 🤷🏼♂️
Perhaps the accent makes it sound different to someone without the accent?
classic case of Sclerosis of the liver
That is also a correct term for cirrhosis..... Get educated.

Come to Arizona during the monsoons. I'll save you a seat 😊
Would witnessing this incident reasonably prompt a nonbeliever to become a Christian? 🤔
I am honestly curious how persuasive (or not) this dark event would be for most people…
Not at all. It would lead me to think that there are forces in our universe that we are yet to understand. I don't see that Christianity per se has anything to do with it.
Probably the exact opposite
Developing my own demonic poltergeist certainly converted me - from atheism - and made me a devout Catholic overnight.
