Why not ask the NAACP to change their name if it's offensive?
It's okay when they say it, but not Whyte Rycists...and the list of banned words/language grows for only one group.
Boo hoo
Because it's not black owned
We can ask them to change it, but they wouldn't.But they are definitely connected donations of us
To be honest we need to sew them
It’s not a problem, they are just making it one for no reason. It has no malice behind it.
@@larryforeman "Sew" them? Do they need patching?
Can we stop saying people of color it means the exact same thing
Now do a video on on the blacks/rappers using the N word.
I find it ridiculous that "People of color" is acceptable but "colored people" is not. Both terms have the same exact meaning, which means someone who is not white.
"Colored People" as opposed to "People of Color"? This is just ridiculous. There are better things to worry about.
Racism is always something people should worry about.
@@CChrist-mh4mk
"Racism is always something people should worry about."
Yes, racism (and any form of bigotry) is a poisonous mindset that should be weeded out of any free and open society but being obtuse about how it is defined and identified doesn't help society progress either. Though the subjects can overlap, prejudice is an issue that goes much deeper than speech. Getting mad at a guy for mixing up words does absolutely NOTHING to address the underlying problems that keep racism alive.
Like Drag Queens and Bud Light?
😂

Yep, I'll take this seriously as soon as the NAACP changes their name. People are simply pretending to be offended, as a way of controlling other people, which is SICK, because controlling other people is a hallmark of slavery. Disgusting!

People of color is offensive😂
Some of us are colored pink, and that's ok by me.
There is nothing that doesn’t have a color 😒🤦🏾♂️
White people are the one's who are colored. We turn all kinds of colors including brown, red, blue, purple, grayish, etc. Don't even argue with me
This is very true 😂😂
This is so true that is crazy
Black is literally every color mixed together.White true definition is blank
Don’t see the problem. They are colored.
Yeah, this doesn't really sound like a big deal. Only one person said and he got scolded for it . Why act like things are going to massively change? Feels like you're bringing up a problem thats already been solved
Huh?
It’s been dramatized, yes
I absolutely agree.
So you can say people of color but not colored people? Make it make sense
She literally asked to strike the NAACP from the record... LOL
The only reason I have a problem at all with this is because people who call themselves black are not really black at all, they're a shade of brown. And coloured people are coloured, as am I; we are all coloured. Let's just call each other people. And while we're at it, if you could all stop referring to each other as the N word and then pretending it is offensive, that would be great thank you. It's either offensive or it isn't. Note: I'm not american.
you might read up on our 'peculiar institution' and the reverberation of its repercussions till today before you do your rodney king impression.

Wtf is wrong with you?
Black people will still praise NAACP though 😂
Thank you
The Real Black People are people from Africa, Srilanka, and South India. The americans who call themselves as black are not Black, they are brown or as Eli correctly said, colored people. Look at this woman who is talking, does she looks black? and yet she want to put her foot in her mouth and spews hatred and chaos.

No one is shifting the goal posts. "Colored Person/People" has been off the table since the 60's. POC is acceptable because it is a Personal Identity term. The person comes first.

20 years ago it was a big discussion if we should stop calling people black and start calling them "coloured". The reasoning behind that was that there are so many shades of skin colour.
Yeah, it's somehow problematic to differentiate between white and all the others. I see the issue here. It's weird to to call everyone who doesn't look like milktoast "black" or "coloured".

that's why i listen to rap music cause we can drive by the blacks and have them call their own people call them the n word. ITS FUNNY That they think they cant be racist. THATS THE THING THAT MAKES THEM RACIST TOO. PLUS the bill wasnt about hindering any people from gettting in. but the black lady blew it up out of proportion to distract the real intention of what it helps. She made everyone hate whites because of it and wanted every black to feel that they just got called the n word again. Well shes the one that called them one not him. she used colors of all people in a derogatory term saying that colors only refer to black people. THAT IS RACISAT.
“You call me a Name, You’re a poo poo head >:( “
Ive heared colored is problematic, black is problematic, african american, afro american, and even person of color Normally its fine to just say the persons name. But if somone is asking you to describe sombody to them to see if they know who your talking about, i feel like if i ask 10 different ppl i feel like 8 out of 10 say "just say black or person of color" and then there 2 who have wholly singular descriptors they would prefer i use to describe the the fact that their skin has more melanin than mine. And i feel that the ppl who prefer that are usually the ones that brings this up. I want to respect whatever sombody wants to be called, their descriptor, pronouns, what have you. But i dont think i should get in trouble if somone asks "hey which tim were you talking about last night?" And both tims are the same height and build, and i go "black tim or darker Tim" i will admit "colored tim" gives me an uncomfortable feeling so i wouldnt use that, so maybe there IS a point here, but i do feel like there are some much more serious and impactful racial issues we could be focusing on than this one. Just one mans (kind of overblown) opinion lol
Good job admitting you’re racist!

Can we talk about how "they/them" are problematic?? No matter how many times anyone says they've always been used to refer to a singular person, it's still sounds weird if the context isn't just right. It sounds like the singular person you're referring to has a multiple split personality disorder.
This sounds like a personal problem.

In addition to the points raised here, this also falls into the same camp as using the term "native american". It's not offensive itself, but it can be over-inclusive. A lot prefer the term "American indian" as it is specific to them; native americans withitn the lower 48 states of the USA. Some still prefer "native american" same as some people still prefer "coloured person" but being specific is important in a political setting

There’s a lot of points she got wrong but the big thing is how about we just start saying ladies and gentlemen when we refer to a large group of people it worked for many years what’s so different now and also the is actually isn’t discriminate against because they don’t care they need more people so they ignore all that and look at skills and abilities like every other job in the world

I personally prefer to be called colored rather than black. It makes more sense, since my skin is brown and not black.
Relax all colours are a colour, including white. However the biggest serious joke is, their are no black or white people. African Americans Caribbean’s and Africans ( not North Africans) are all different shades of brown. Europeans are all different shades of pink.. Doubt me?
