Thank you Dele. I have lived in the UK for more than 50 years. I tell Nigerians who grumble about racism here that I find it easier to live with racism that tribalism. They are surprised, some even attack me for saying so. I live in a village of 3400 people according to the last census. Mine is one of only two black families here. And we feel very safe. I rest my case.

You would be safe as long as your number is not growing, and you are not contesting any political and economic power with them. Even the UK is divided along tribal or ethnic lines. You are one of the ignorant immigrants who don't know that the major tribes in the UK formed the four kingdoms: England for the English,Northern Ireland for the Irish,Scotland for the Scots and Wales for the Welsh. And of these kingdoms have their own army under the royal British army. As Nigerian immigrant who naturalised as a British citizen, you can only be British, not scot,English,Irish or Welsh. The difference between tribalism in the UK and Nigeria is the UK created autonomous state for their tribes while in Nigeria, they are pretend tribes in Nigeria should cease to exist by comparing tribalism with racism. Both are mot tge same.

More so, our constitution do not make provision for a referendum should any region decides to leave and no thanks to your Nnamdi Azikwe who ensures that wasn't included in our constitution so as to keep this marriage together by force with reasons best known to him else Igbos would have had the constitutional right to leave so blame it on your kinsman Azikwe. I think he said a lot of meaningful things. For the discerning mind, lesson should be learnt that particular persons or group or persons bear the brunt of injustices in our dear country.
Some others who think they are more comfortable and have fared better in the face of the inequities should be ready to make sacrifices.
It would be complicity, foolhardy and counter intuitive to sacrifice same set of persons even if what they thought was peculiar to them have become glaring national malaise. Injustice to one is injustice to all😮
