The takeaway from this episode for me is that the persistent and continual persecution of supposedly powerless individuals in Nigeria trying to do the right thing by speaking out such as Dele Farotimi will eventually expose the septic and rotten core of the judiciary in the country.

We can't blame Mr. Dele for his actions . What he has done was based on his experience. And that must have been burning in his mind for so long . As there is no trace that Nigeria will get better one day. Then he decided to express him mind . If Nigeria is good where things are working, our sitting president will not be there today . Because he didn't win the election, which we all know. Even if they stop, Mr. Dele today. Another person will rise up again because the problems are still there.

Barr Nkeakọ, Tankio very much for sharing your personal experience with the Cameron legal system.
I personally expected Nigeria government to sincerely investigate the matters raised by Dele Farotimi in his book against the Nigeria judiciary.
I don't think he's the only one that has accused the judiciary to be corrupt. It's in the public domain, even when no particular name was mentioned. But without mentioning any name, every average Nigerian knows who to be held responsible.
The case of Oandoaka in the mind.
    Too bad😢😢😢

It's now established that magistrate court of ekiti state denying bail application farotimi is wrong.
No law to call the court to order immediately?
What is jsc standing for not calling her members to order or who is responsible for calling this wrong direction to order.
Let's call spade a spade, Nigeria legal system is not ready for justice yet.

THE RULE OF LAW SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TAKE IT'S FULL COURSE FOR A BETTER NIGERIA. THE RULE OF LAW SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED SELECTIVELY BUT EQUALLY TO ALL THE PARTIES CONCERNED. THE JUDICIARY IS CURRENTLY ON TRIAL AND THE AUGEAN STABLE SHOULD BE CLEARED ONCE AND FOR ALL. JUSTICE AND PEACE SHALL FLOURISH AND REIGN AGAIN IN OUR BELOVED COUNTRY, NIGERIA.

On Ayo’s question on how the whole arrest was done, hear a Lawyer say it is subjective and anyone can interpret it their own way. Mr. Lawyer, it is not subjective, it is a matter of Law and judicial procedures, it appears Nigeria is a lawless banana republic. I am baffled by some of these lawyers who makes public statements, it is either they are liars, or they are ignorant of the law. I am baffled why the Lagos state government has not said anything, Nigeria is a Federal Republic, Mr.Farotimi is a resident of Lagos therefore under the legal jurisdiction of Lagos and if any crime was committed, then it was committed in Lagos. It is illegal for a police from another state in a Federation to cross state lines to arrest someone. Mr. Farotimi was supposed to be arrested by the Lagos police and taken to court if any crime was committed, and it is a Lagos state judge who will decide if Mr. Farotimi should be extradited to Ekiti state or not and not picked up by Ekiti state police and taken to Ekiti state without a ruling from a Lagos state magistrate. Knowing all these, it is obvious that Mr. Farotimi was kidnapped and not arrested because Ekiti state police has no jurisdiction in Lagos state. I was expecting the Lagos state government to demand his return to Lagos state, but they are silent. I am baffled how timid his continued illegal detention is being handled by Nigerians.
