Melanie I love this quick way of cooking microwave potatoes ! After I decided to mash them hot , adding evaporated milk fresh garlic salt blackpepper butter and a pinch iof sugar . Oh my gosh ! No turning back to the old ways . I love the skin on in the potatoes !

Microwaving potatoes is my least favoured way of cooking them, but if you're time poor or just need another cooking appliace to get the job done then by all means.
I put a bit of water in the dish and when they're ready, run them under cold water for a few seconds to halt the cooking process.
Garlic and herb butter is best.
