@Annalise Barrett well there's more than just the Shrines he needs to complete, there's at least one Kass Quest that is not connected to any Shrine at all and it's hard to find unless you know what you're looking for.
I've forgotten where but in one of the places Kass stays at (with the Blood Moon quest I think) there's a book that lists out all the spots that Kass is at. So that should help him finish all the Kass quests.

I don't know, it's a good idea, but I think it's limited how much he can finish and forced him to rush to the end. This stream, in which he did most of the Champions' Ballad, went way longer than he intended, because he underestimated how much there was to do, but he felt like he needed to finish it right then. I think it affected his experience because he was tired. Plus, he was talking about finishing all the shrines first because he thought he only had nine left, but he didn't realize Champions' Ballad shrines are counted on the pause screen so I think it's actually 17 or 18 still left. (It's hard to tell because that's where his facecam is.) That makes that goal, which would have been a great goal normally, pretty impossible.
Actually he had like 5 left, The Ballad Shrines don't count towards the total in the loading screen because they aren't giving you Spirit Orbs, just Divine Beast Orbs in order to face the bosses. He only had 4 left after the one he found in Hyrule Castle. So depending on the kind of shrines, he could've actually done it. I simultaneously love and hate the fact that he beat every one of the GanonBlights using everything *except* whatever they were weak to. Was about to die laughing when his weapon broke on Lightningblight and I was like "He's *gotta* figure it out now..." 🤣
DeeBeeGeek on the Daruk shrines: avoiding the fire at all cost. Players with max goron armor on those same shrines: I'll just hang in the fire and roast a bit
That wasn't George. That was his great ancestor, George, First of his name. I believe that the George of today is known as George VIII, but records after the Calamity are a bit muddled.
Fun fact: dropping bananas in the Maz Koshia fight actually distracts him for a few seconds as he will pick them up and eat them, just like the Yiga clan!
"I guess we're gettin' another spirit orb." I had to laugh at that, given what you were about to face. Good job on taking down Maz Koshia on your first try. I made the mistake of doing The Champions Ballad DLC my first time playing through in Master Mode. That fight is plenty difficult, but when he's hard to hit AND has regenerating health, it's ridiculous.
One of the things i loved the most about the Champion's Ballad was Urbosa's story. The connection between the Princess and Queen of Hyrule with the Queen of the Gerudo is truly amazing when you considered the past between those 2 races.
Deebee, don’t forget to read the champions and Zelda’s diaries! They add good character and story elements. Zelda’s is in the castle, and the others are in their respective villages. They show up when you finish their ballad quests, and the leaders of the tribes will tell you where they are
Just little things you should know - During the fight against Ma Koshia, you can throw bananas in the floor. It will distract him and makes him stop attacking you and follow the banana. It happens only once per encounter though, but you can rebattle Ma Koshia as many times as you want by revisiting him at the Shrine of Ressurection, - You can now also rebattle the blights by going in front of the divine beasts. - The interior of the 5th divine beast dungeon is the interior of a motorcycle engine. - You must refuel the Master Cycle Zero, and you can do so by putting literally anything inside it (just hold the item in your hands and approach the Master Cycle).
I had to leave the stream before you got the picture and I had no idea you could hang it up. I just about started full on wailing thinking about poor Link getting back all his memories and only having that picture left on them and putting it up in his house MY GODDAMN HEART
Having Link wake up after 100 years and gradually gain back the memories of his friends only for him to fine out they have perished long ago, and that he can no longer save them. How anyone could go through such grief is beyond me, but he can’t dwell on his emotions because he is the hero and that’s what’s expected of him.(not to mention that the reason he doesn’t speak much anymore) This story of Link really makes me feel for him🥺
Here's a detail about this game that makes this even sadder: In each of the songs that play while in the divine beasts you can (usually relativly quietly in the background) hear morse-code for SAD (Search And Destroy, the mission of the Blights), and SOS (the calls of the champions for help). And the way that SOS plays in the song reflects something about that champions personality and how they felt in their last moments. In Vah Rutas song for example, the SOS call starts early and loudly, directly after the first SAD code, so Mipha called for help immediatly after she realized she needed it. But as the song goes on the SOS calls get more infrequent and quieter, often get overpowered by the SAD codes, representing how she grew weaker and lost hope. That is honestly my favourite attention to detail from any video game.
honestly, waterblight on mastermode is the worst of all of them. I never have major issues with the other three, but waterblight with HP regen is a nightmare. I only could beat him thanks to urbosa's fury. those spears they give you are way too fragile to last for an extended fight
Honestly, deebee could not have chosen a better way of finishing this. All the beasts one at a time, the memories inbetween, all the big things one after the other, the champions ballad BEFORE ganon Everything the master trials could have been a thing too but, oh well regardless, this is just amazing to watch. its really nice to see genuine reactions 3, nearly 4 years after the release of this incredible game and getting to relive all these beautiful moments.
Yeah, he said he wants to do the stream to defeat Calamity Ganon on the 35th anniversary. He probably wanted to get it out so people who didn't see the last streams can catch up in time.
I think its ironic in the final memory, when the shot zoomed out. The king is talking about their "fateful task". You can see the 4 champions, the ones that fell, but the banner is blocking our view of both Link & Zelda.
People who say BOTW lacked a story haven't played the DLC. People who say BOTW had a bad sound track didn't turn it up enough to hear the ambient noise.
I don't normally cry because of music... I DO cry because of filmes sometimes... but when I played BotW myself, this scene with the picture and the music while watching it was the first and only time ever a video game made me cry !
I have a similar but weird story to yours. Breath of the wild was my first proper computer game and my first ever console even though I’m old and decrepit! We couldn’t afford a console and the games which were almost the same amount of money back then (I imagine!). I was a thoughtful and quiet boy who didn’t like to upset my parents so I never showed interest in consoles and gaming. Instead I spent my time reading and enjoying libraries and classical music … ultra boring kid, right! ;-) so I carried on in life believing that I had no interest in computer games … and wasted my life with books and libraries and shi*t like that. Anyway … I kept on hearing from different people in the media how BotW was absolutely brilliant so one year I bought it and Mario Odyssey. I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed them. I was terrified of dying because I remember from limited memory of games we played on the school’s computer that they were unforgiving … if you died that was it … you’d have to start from the beginning. I was pleasantly surprised that Nintendo games were different. You should expect to die without too many consequences. Anyway … I’m now happily awaiting “Tears of the Kingdom” …. I can’t wait! Brilliant channel you have here Dr Geek!
Heya! Just read your comment and was wondering how you're finding Tears of the Kingdom!! Botw was my first proper game as well at the age of approx 14/15 when I first played it in 2020, now I'm 17 and a massive Zelda fan😂
That whole thunderblight portion was painful to watch on stream lol. He was quick to declare he had no more weapons without even looking. Oh well at least he came thru.
It was especially painful when he opened up the quick equip thing for melee weapons and the Edge of Duality was plainly there and he STILL didn't see it
I missed the stream but watching his realization here had me laughing so hard I was gasping for air and had tears in my eyes. I honestly can't remember the last time I laughed that hard and for so long. Still, Deebee is a much better BOTW player than me because when I get impatient I look at walkthroughs. He's also a really good sport about his oopsies.

U r an inspiration and we luv’ u soooo dang much! Happy Zelda’s 35th Anniversary! REGINA_DMM
You still have to do the first part of the DLC: The Master Trials! It's more of a skill based challenge rather than a story DLC so you could also do it after beating Ganon. One thing I want to correct you on because I'm a Zelda nerd... The Champions didn't do all those trials to get their Divine Beasts, at least not the shrines and the final Divine Beast. They did some trials but it wasn't related to that (such as Daruk standing on lava, or beating the talus). There's two possibilities as to why there's the final Divine Beast. It could just be for Link's final trial or it could have been a training facility for the pilots of the Divine Beasts of long ago. Each room correspond to one of the four Divine Beasts.
I was watching this at work and literally roared with laughter when you were battling Thunderblight Ganon and realized you had that sword. Your response made it all the more hilarious. Comedy gold.
The way we’ve seen him grow is amazing. He truly brings comfort to a lot of us. Cant wait for the stream tomorrow and I’m so glad to be a part of this community!
Regarding Thunderblight, the trick is lightning strikes the highest metal object (both real world and in the game). So you Magnesis those metal poles he places on the ground and lift it near him. He'll electrocute himself with no threat to yourself. Actually not a difficult boss battle to get away from undamaged.
To be fair there was more storyish content in the original release. Though the villain levels were a free update I believe and not paid DLC. That said the DLC did include an outright ridiculous amount of content in the new adventure maps.

Perfect weather for a stroll
I always get choked up at the scene where they take the picture. I have a physical copy of it from a collectors edition and I love it :')
Dee Bee: What is that music?!?
It's boss music Dee, you are living the meme!
DB: “Francis the seal is best seal”
Me: “But, Patricia..”
Sealiously
Angry Ryju noises
That wasn't George. That was his great ancestor, George, First of his name. I believe that the George of today is known as George VIII, but records after the Calamity are a bit muddled.
I think math makes it George X or so
@@walls_of_skulls6061 probably, but as records were destroyed during the Calamity we only know of some of his ancestors for sure.
That fight is plenty difficult, but when he's hard to hit AND has regenerating health, it's ridiculous.
links divine beast is the cycle zero, while links power is Time(attacking monsters fast while the time itself is slow for a few secound).
1:54:46 - I think we need a "Revali's Gale" compilation once this is finished.
Me: **Is stuck in America and can't travel anywhere**
Also me: **Makes a Tayto Sandwich so I can experience Ireland**
Mom: "we already have Ireland at home
Ireland at home:
Matt “we have Ireland at home” XD
One of the things i loved the most about the Champion's Ballad was Urbosa's story. The connection between the Princess and Queen of Hyrule with the Queen of the Gerudo is truly amazing when you considered the past between those 2 races.
"What do I get for completing this trial?"
Maz Koshia: These hands.
_"oh."_
Urbosa is the coolest of the champions hands down.
God I cried when I got that photo
“I can’t believe I’m fighting one of these monks” right as he splits lol
I love how Zelda crafted a tunic for Link and just a scarf for the rest 😅
Deebee, don’t forget to read the champions and Zelda’s diaries! They add good character and story elements. Zelda’s is in the castle, and the others are in their respective villages. They show up when you finish their ballad quests, and the leaders of the tribes will tell you where they are
1:33:06 Dee Bee Geek: Why do I hear Boss Music?
Man Koshia: A TRIAL AWAITS!
1:07:13 "I only get a shield?" Is clearly Edge of Duality in inventory
Dee Bee "what's that music? "
Everybody that went into this blind. Yup.
Just little things you should know
- During the fight against Ma Koshia, you can throw bananas in the floor. It will distract him and makes him stop attacking you and follow the banana. It happens only once per encounter though, but you can rebattle Ma Koshia as many times as you want by revisiting him at the Shrine of Ressurection,
- You can now also rebattle the blights by going in front of the divine beasts.
- The interior of the 5th divine beast dungeon is the interior of a motorcycle engine.
- You must refuel the Master Cycle Zero, and you can do so by putting literally anything inside it (just hold the item in your hands and approach the Master Cycle).
at an hour and eight minutes I could sense the rage through the screen
I was looking for this comment. (1:08:00)
Him to Ravioli last episode: THEY DONT NAME HIM AFTER PASTA FOR NOTIN’
him to Ravioli this time: WTFRICK RAVIOLI
Oh, I knew you'd love the Champions Ballad!
The lore, the build up, the music... I really loved it, too.
Such a great DLC.
Not to mention, the best boss fight in the game.
Somewhere under hyrule castle it rests waiting for its owner to return...
It is the hylian shield of Legend.. go find it great warrior..
How anyone could go through such grief is beyond me, but he can’t dwell on his emotions because he is the hero and that’s what’s expected of him.(not to mention that the reason he doesn’t speak much anymore) This story of Link really makes me feel for him🥺
Edge of Duality: Am I a joke to you?
One of the better weapons in the game
Here's a detail about this game that makes this even sadder:
In each of the songs that play while in the divine beasts you can (usually relativly quietly in the background) hear morse-code for SAD (Search And Destroy, the mission of the Blights), and SOS (the calls of the champions for help).
Omg I never understood what the SAD code meant 😮 Thanks for explaining it
Ah yes thunderblight ganon in the memory realm
honestly, waterblight on mastermode is the worst of all of them. I never have major issues with the other three, but waterblight with HP regen is a nightmare. I only could beat him thanks to urbosa's fury. those spears they give you are way too fragile to last for an extended fight
“Revali…everytime. Every. Single. Time.”
Get Zelda's horse, read Zelda's diary, read other diaries as well - there's still so many things to do @_@
Honestly, deebee could not have chosen a better way of finishing this.
All the beasts one at a time, the memories inbetween, all the big things one after the other, the champions ballad BEFORE ganon
Everything
the master trials could have been a thing too but, oh well
regardless, this is just amazing to watch. its really nice to see genuine reactions 3, nearly 4 years after the release of this incredible game and getting to relive all these beautiful moments.
Yo two days in a row? I'm guessing this is for the 35th anniversary tomorrow
Yeah, he said he wants to do the stream to defeat Calamity Ganon on the 35th anniversary. He probably wanted to get it out so people who didn't see the last streams can catch up in time.
(first episode)
"one of these lads are gonna come alive arent they"
Maz Koshia: *you called?*
I love everyone’s reaction to Monk Maz Koshia’s boss music. His music got me so hyped when fighting him!
Daruk being scared of dogs is so precious
"Those who lack determination will find this trial unforgiving." So I guess it would be easy for the protagonist from Undertale. 🤭
*Seeing Kass playing his accordion... it fills you with DETERMINATION
Who would win?
4 fragments of the re-re-re-re-reincarnation of the embodiment of pure evil himself.
Or
Some kid with a rusty dagger.
Low hanging fruit, literally just the fuckin word
I don't normally cry because of music... I DO cry because of filmes sometimes... but when I played BotW myself, this scene with the picture and the music while watching it was the first and only time ever a video game made me cry !
I really hope he find's the diaries of Revali, Daruk, Urbosa, the king, and Zelda
"I can't believe we're fighting one of these monks"
*8 more monks appear*
"😳"
When i fought against gannon i used mipha’s armor and used her weapon to kill the beast and to avenge our fishy waifu.
It was especially painful when he opened up the quick equip thing for melee weapons and the Edge of Duality was plainly there and he STILL didn't see it
I was yelling at the screen so much during that fight, lol.
DeeBee, met you and have been with you since the first chapter of BoTW, created a Twch and Discrd accnt just so I could follow your journey and relive the amazin story with you. Daily tuned in to your zelda, kh and xeno ch streams just I could speak with your amazing community again and now: Followed your 6-7hr stream finale and I cant stop crying seeing how your whole community started, how it grew alongside your journey and how you gathered a 6k army to fight of ganon today. I’m speechless seeing how much you have accomplished as our knight in shinning armor and I know that this is merely the beginning of a bunch of heartfelt stories. I’m looking forward to keep being part of your amazing community that on discrd we decided to all live in one same town : DeeBeeTown (or DeeBeeVille - still deciding hehe) Thank you for all your passion, kindness and joy you bring everytime to us all. U r an inspiration and we luv’ u soooo dang much! Happy Zelda’s 35th Anniversary!
REGINA_DMM
I was there live for the whole stream and boy was it a good one!! I legit was so emotional at the end. Your reactions were also so good
“I got no weapons” 😂
1:32:50
In the name of the Goddess Hylia...
*You about to catch these hands.*
Dee Bee: Having an emotional moment
Revali: rEVaLI's GaLE iS nOW rEAdY
You know what I hope? That he actually upgrades his armor sets more
Regarding Thunderblight, the trick is lightning strikes the highest metal object (both real world and in the game). So you Magnesis those metal poles he places on the ground and lift it near him. He'll electrocute himself with no threat to yourself. Actually not a difficult boss battle to get away from undamaged.
"if this is the kind of DLC we can expect for age of calamity~"
Hyrule Warriors fans: ummmmm about that
To be fair there was more storyish content in the original release. Though the villain levels were a free update I believe and not paid DLC. That said the DLC did include an outright ridiculous amount of content in the new adventure maps.
During the Direct they specifically showed a list of the things they were adding, and some of them had to do with extra story
Anti copyright ads in the 90s: "You wouldn't download a car!"
Us from 2017: "How about a bike?"
Man, this was one of the best stream of zelda botw, I never thought that you would gonna have the best experience beating Calamity Ganon, I hope all this journey make you love with all the heart the legend of zelda games!
Finally someone who's genuinely happy for the bike dlc!!!!! You have no idea how happy that makes ME!
