Happy 35th Anniversary to the legend of Zelda Franchise and Happy 4th Birthday to BOTW and The Nintendo Switch. Thank you all so much for joining me on this incredible journey. It has truly brought back my childhood memories and feelings of what it means to love Nintendo and the beautiful worlds they create, this may be the end of our journey for now but as one door closes, another opens. Age of Calamity begins live on Twitch. I'll see you all there and let there be many more adventures to come.
What about the video for breath of the wild where you get the rest of the dlc and see Kass' final song, will that stream be uploaded here? I'd love to watch that stream as a video on here.
It's so refreshing to watch your journey. I have 100% complete BOTW four times before, but I had great time watching you!! I'll keep looking forward for the rest of the games. And you should do a stream to complete all the sidequests.
Thank you for this series. It has brought me joy and entertainment during hard times in these last few months. I can’t wait to see any of your content that may be coming soon.
This is honestly the best first time zelda playthrough series that exists. There's soo many streamers who are just too focused on the chat, not invested in the story, etc, and miss the small details. Deebee does it right! I had been searching for a zelda playthrough like this for a long time and I am glad this now exists.
I second everything you've said. If you want another BotW playthrough recommendation now that DeeBee's is finished, I highly suggest you check out Olizandri. On the opposite side of the spectrum, he's a hardcore Zelda fan. His playthrough can't beat the abject _wonderment_ that DeeBee showed all through his, but it's a damn good time in and of itself. 🙂
Agreed watching him become a Zelda fan by playing this for the first time has been absolutely incredible, Another playthrough I recommend watching is NicoB who had dabbled in a bit of Twilight princess in his youth but had never really played through a Zelda game and because he did it as a let's play instead of a stream he was fully focused on the story and details of the world. Also his Ad libs for the champions makes his playthrough very unique and highly recommended
You really made an excuse me princess joke without even knowing the context, you have proven that you are worthy of becoming one of us, a true zelda fan
This is why his name is Link. He's the Link that connects us to them, and his mission always is to connect the people to solve stuff. Unite the nations.
Silent protagonists don’t always work well, but this was one of the OGs. And it’s cherished for a reason, it really nails immersion and a epic expansive world and engrossing characters and locations
This guy is proof that you don't need to spend years with a franchise or own every game to be a true fan. All you need is to know what it's all about, and Dee Bee Geek gets it.
THE ZELDA'S LULLABY GAMEPLAY MONTAGE HAD ME CRYING AND THEN AS I WAS COLLECTING MYSELF THE MONTAGE ENDED AND THEN AN AD PLAYED *"PIZZA BAGEL SAUCE SPILLED ON HIS PANTS"* I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED HARDER
As someone who has beaten Breath of the Wild, you know that empty feeling you get when completing a good game for the first time? This series made me feel like that all over again.
"Don't be sad because it's over, Be happy because it happened" What an amazing series this was; But this is only the beginning of a long journey across the Zelda universe
Everything..... Blucas.... The adventures, The memes, The divine beast, I'm gonna miss this journey so much thank you dee bee I needed this and i didnt even know, Its so hard to believe this is the end of an incredible journey.
I love hearing you discuss how great the story is in this game. A lot of people knock the story, they act like it’s lacking, but it’s only lacking if you don’t pursue it. The story is there, for anyone who is willing to explore and find it.
@@northproductions6104 2 months late but i personally like the story. gameplay wise it is a step up as well in basically every way. a lot of people hate on totk’s story. i really like it, just not the way it is told throughout the game
@@d00p58 Oh? I was under the impression that _Breath of the Wild_ was the one that a lot of people don't like. Do you have a different perspective? I mean you said something similar about BOTW 2 years ago in your first comment above. Do you still have the same opinion?
While many people saw it as a weakness I see it as a strength. At the beginning of the game you die over and over and you feel like you are surviving this post apocalyptic world and by the end you have everything you need to fight your way up the castle and beat the game. (I could ramble on how it works with the lore and BOTW 2 but I'll spare you my theories)
I mean, there are different ways to play. If you take your time, explore, and find a bunch of little things to make you stronger, the final boss will be a breeze. If you don’t fight the divine beasts and go in with 5 hearts and a travellers spear, you’re gonna get destroyed. I think it’s nice to give you the choice of rushing and having a hard time or beating the game the « intended » way and feeling like a badass.
I agree! Its simplicity felt like a reward for 100+ hours of trial and error. And a much more balanced reward than say the fierce deity mask in Majoras Mask...
"Courage need not be remembered, for it is never forgotten." I literally cried when I heard that for the first time. Such a beautiful and poignant quote fit for a hero.
“Where’s Blue?” - somehow feels so immortal to me, represents the actual emotional bond that the game was able to create. Even after defeating Ganon the first thought of him was of making sure his long-journey friend was safe.
it's January 6, 2024 and I'm crying watching this. Unbelievable! Now I have followed his entire Tears of the kingdom live via twitch and I miss his streams so much. Dee will remain my favorite streamer ever. I was pregnant and bored and also playing breath of the wild when I happened to see this channel. So much emotion, memory and love for this game that is so well deserved.
I started watching this series when it started mainly out of cynicism to see if it was someone who would just harp on about "Man, if only this game were on better hardware." I ended up subscribing because I got hooked on how much of a dopamine rush this series has been and seeing someone enjoy one of my favorite games in my most favorite gaming franchise to someone who hasn't had any exposure to it at all.
"I felt like I was Link". I used to think they should give Link more of a personality and a bit more dialogue, but now I see that it's probably a good thing he's more of a blank slate. It's for moments like this, and feeling like you are Link.
Gear gets these modifiers the further along the game you are and the more enemies you defeat. The Hylian Shield unlocks modifiers very late and most people have gotten it before this point, which is why most don't know it can even have modifiers.
I don't think any shield guard up really matters for this, right? Doesn't 90 already stagger basically everything except against savage lynel crushers?
I normally don't cry with gaming content, but I was close to doing so with your playthrough. The editing on this video was top notch. I'm glad you've become part of the Zelda community! Looking forward for Age of Calamity, Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask!
Today marks the 4th Anniversary of Breath of the Wild, during the 35th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. The anniversary of a series that I hold very close. In 1992, when I was nearly five years old, my childhood crashed around me due to the death of my father. I didn’t realise it at the time, but I needed somewhere to escape to. To still be a child, and not have to grow up overnight. That world was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the Super Nintendo (SNES). The story of a young boy losing his father figure, and going on to become a hero and save the princess. How could I not get wrapped up in that world and it’s already memorable pixels and music? In 1998, Ocarina of Time gave us the world of Hyrule to explore in 3D for the first time. It was like when Dorothy discovers the Land of Oz and the world turns to colour. The tale of a young boy not really knowing of his father, having to choose between the childlike world of the past, or the darker more serious world of adulthood. This resonated with me immensely, more so also being the same age (10) Link was at the time. To this day I still feel the story of Ocarina of Time is yet to be bested in any video game. Between then and now I have explored every corner of Hyrule as it has evolved. From the open seas of Wind Waker, to the fields of Faron Woods in Twilight Princess, and the clouds of Skyloft in Skyward Sword. And in 2017, Nintendo brought us back to where it all began. Link, an old man, and the open world of Hyrule to explore and rediscover. Each world a gorgeous cast of characters, beautiful soundtracks, and memorable tales as additions to the great mythology and timelines being added to like a tapestry. With Breath of the Wild, Nintendo managed to give this 35 year old franchise a whole new lease of life. Old but new. Still everything we remember and hold so dearly, yet so much more to question and dive into. I hope we are fortunate enough to continue to rediscover Hyrule and its many kingdoms and timelines for the next 35 years. Thank you Link for coming into my life at the perfect time. And thank you Dee Bee Geek for helping me enjoy this amazing entry into the series from an entirely new angle with my partner. Through your videos, and our gaming time together, she is also now a huge Zelda fan. Here is to a brilliant Twitch/RUclips series for Age of Calamity! 🙌🏻 Welcome one last time to the Nintendo family. ❤️💚💙
I love this, I was introduced to Zelda with Ocarina of Time, after my parents recommended it to me, already being familliar with Zelda due to them ownng an SNES and playing ALTTP. It's nice to hear stories like this.
That's a very touching story. I also began my zelda journey with A Link to the Past when I was little, and then I played Ocarina of Time when I was like 11 or 12. Then I played Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, and the original Zelda. I have also watched the full walkthroughs of WindWaker and Skyward Sword, but I have yet to experience Twilight Princess. In spite of that, I also believe Ocarina of Time is so deep that it's yet to be dethroned by another game! But yeah, BotW was incredible! One of my favorite games of all time! Oh, and DeBeeGeek's playthrough was also amazing!
This was such an incredible journey to watch the last few months. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! It was a joy to watch and I was always so excited when a new video was posted. Can't wait to follow your continued journeys ahead!
It's so beautiful to see that the Silent Princess flourished everywhere after Ganon's defeat. It's kinda heartwarming to see. Now it's time to wait for Breath of the Wild 2 and Ganondorf's Return.
It took me two weeks to watch the complete playthrough of this last part on Twitch because I was dreading this moment. As many have told you, you have been a breath of fresh air during this lockdown and I have watched every single episode with a sense of exhilaration. Your different voices for each character, the fact that you named George, Billy, Skye, Brutus and the loyal Blucas, the way you were invested in the story and not just playing trying to get to the finish line, your eternal hatred for the odishes and your infatuation with Kass made this journey unforgettable. And yes, I cried and laughed with you too, so now as I watch this RUclips episode someone has started cutting onions again when all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing the Zelda universe to life. I am looking forward to Age of Calamity, so give it your best, as you always do.
Here we all are, crying and emotional. Youve earned this, DeeBeeGeek! Ive had this game since launch and only finished it literally an hour before TOTK came out. I was as emotional as you were. Your speech at the end was perfect and succinct. Thank you for giving this game a chance, and for being a positive light.
Wow... What a journey it has been. Your playthrough of this game was my introduction to this channel, and at first I was a little unsure, but I have grown to really enjoy your style of content. There have been moments in this journey that have made me think "what the hell are you doing?", but equally as many parts that have had me as emotionally invested as you, even though I already know the game inside out. It has been wonderful to watch you progress through this game, and discover the magic of the Zelda series along the way. It was a poetic end to beat the game on the 35th anniversary of the series, accentuated more by releasing this video on the 4th anniversary of this game and the switch. Congratulations, you have created a fantastic series, documenting the blind journey of a Nintendo newbie into the wonderful world of Breath of the Wild. Love ya DeeBee.
I know what you mean😂 I remember thinking to myself, “Do you have to sing that every time you shield surf?” Then it grew on me and I complained whenever he didn’t sing while shield surfing 😂 Deebee is just awesome
This is why I develop games, even to see one person have an experience such as yours playing a game makes it all worth it! The editing on this video was top notch as well!
This is very different from what I thought I was in for when I stumbled upon a video titled "PlayStation/Xbox guy plays his first ever Zelda game" a few months back 😍
Wow, I can't lie. After that fantastic 5 minute intro and the words "DeeBeeGeek Presents" came on the screen, I started clapping, like the intro to an epic movie had just happened and the title of the movie came on screen. I'm excited and dang a bit teary eyed too.
@@nam9085 he said, “the Triforce of Power, she’s using it, the power she was destined to wield” I dunno if he was a bit led to believe that cause the game always called her ability as the Sealing “Power”
I did not think it was possible for me to love the Zelda franchise more or to experience BOTW in a new way, after 5 of my own playthroughs, but you gave me a whole new experience and more enjoyment. Thank you. You are lovely and incredible.
Everyone is feeling melancholy for the end of a legendary adventure, but the adventures are far from over! We still have the rest of ocarina, skyward sword, twilight Princess, wind waker, and tons more awesome adventures to have fun with! also i've never seen anyone actually cry from a zelda game. awesome stuff
Getting Blucus for the finale, after seeing how attached you got to him, felt so amazing to watch. I love that the game brings you your horse at the end. What a memorable moment.
I love how carefully this is edited. I love the introduction and how thoughtful it is. I also love the various "flashbacks" that we see as he makes his way towards Ganon. Thank you, man, for such a great and wonderful journey! It was a delight to be a part of it.
This playthrough got me so emotional. Thank you Dee Bee Geek for giving Zelda a chance. Thank you for opening your horizons to experience this all. Breath of the Wild is so unreal and leaves you speechless for a reason. You literally cannot put into words what this game does to you. Never has a game captured the essence that Breath of the Wild radiates. It allows you to live and breathe the world of Hyrule. It eases you in by making you curious, pulling you in, and then finding out these answers yourself. You get to experience this world not knowing anything of it, just as Link is experiencing it. It captures the essence of minimalistic/melancholic storytelling-- through soft worldbuilding. From the breathtaking opening down to something as simple as reading a diary, this game never shoves anything into your face. Only after becoming accustomed to the world, and having hundreds of hours clocked in, you think you'd know everything about the game... but then uncovering that very small emotional story beat, only for it to hit a hundred times over-- harder than any other game has ever done before. Who knew a simple diary entry would break me down into tears. Realization is a powerful emotion. Just very much like life, having these emotional moments are sparse, but when they happen they really do hit hard. This is a masterclass in artistry. Thank you for letting me experience my favorite game of all time all over again. Happy 35th Anniversary to The Legend of Zelda!
I found your channel because of the first episode of botw. I was so shocked that somebody hasn't played this awesome game by now. And at the same time I was so happy to see this game again through the eyes of somebody who has never played it. But you had never ever played a single Zelda game, Dee. And seeing you putting all those little pieces and fragments of the storys and games together is so exciting. I feel like a little child again because of this journey. And I really needed that in these times. So thank you, for making my life a bit better, by sharing your happiness, your anger and salt, your tears and all those lovely words! I can't wait for the next journeys that you will share with us. And honestly, I came here just for Zelda, but now I want to stay because of you and this community. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really do. Thank you, Dee.
After 4 years this is still the best series I will ever see. The best of times when we needed it. I still do. That is why I am here now. Never forget it
From the off, it was clear you love gaming and appreciated what you had with BOTW. Your humour & enthusiasm was such a breath of fresh air compared to other play throughs & I loved every minute of it. You recognised the effort put into making this game. Over time I started to realise the effort you were putting into it as well by editing so brilliantly Just for our entertainment. Then you did the charity special on twitch and I realised I wasn’t alone in loving your content. What a great following you have & what a night! When you shot off for a break & the chat rallied to get to £12,000 before you came back was brilliant & special. And well deserved. Cheers bud! All you have to do now is make friends with Billy....
Best BotW play through ever. I am so happy to see someone experience the same emotions and experiences that I enjoyed playing this masterpiece for the first time. Thank you for the best BotW stream ever
Its quite insane actually. I stumbled uppon you in my recommended. As PS and XBox Gamer to play THIS as your first Zelda Game. While watching your Videos on BotW, I had allready 100%ed BotW, all koroks, all shrines, all pictures, all tunics, all map points, but yet, you have brought me back to the joy i felt completing the game the first time. And it was rly interesting seeing someone finish this game without never even playing any Zelda Game before, its quite fascinating seeing how you let yourself get carried away by the story. After I saw your reactions, I thought to myself that you might over react or something like that, but I didnt even realize that I didnt feel the same way, because I played countless Zelda Games countless of times again and again. So I knew how the story was going to go out. But. Seeing someone completely new to this franchise, seeing the Story unfold before your eyes, has shown me that I might not pay enough homage to the Zelda Series despite being a fan since I could barely even speak. And Yet, you, in this video, were more into the Zelda Series than me in more than 15 years. The only Zelda Game that had me be that emotional was Twilight Princess, since it has a rly good story line aswell, but I wont spoiler that for you ofc. I will look forward to watching every Video, perhaps i may join your streams when the timing is right, to watch you play the world of Twilight Princess. Saying all this. BotW was one of the best games ever--- ever made. And im quite interested of how they want to top this game with BotW 2. BotW took 5 years to create. We are currently in the 4th year of BotW2`s development (if i remember correctly). And rumors say that it wont come out until 2022, I dont even care how long it will take since Shigeru Miyamoto once said: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad" I dont even know if someone will read this whole thing, but if you did. Thank you, for your attention and your time. And Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
@@atntfanpage4071 Well there are a lot of people that don't like Breath of the Wild much either... the dungeons suck, there's no story, there's no soundtrack, blah blah blah. We all have our favorites and the games we don't like so much, I don't think there's much point in bringing up everything wrong with a game all the time. I'm just happy for the people who love the games I don't.
@@Nat_the_Chicken I was sharing my opinion, and I completely get why people criticize this game, it's just it's weird for me seeing people saying how FF7 remake was an amazing game.
@@Nat_the_Chicken This man's journey perfectly encapsulates the spirit of BotW. How good a dungeon is, that's opinionated, but no way is there no story or soundtrack. You can see how much emotion it brings.
As someone who grew up a single mother and lost her to sickness just a little after I became adult, I strongly relate to Zelda and Link after reading Zelda's diary. I grew up with my mother as my inspiration (she was very studious and industrious, but we were very poor when I was a child) and in trying so much to not be a burden for her, to brighten her days, to try to grow up and be able to afford the peaceful life I thought that we both deserved, even now I'm constantly wearing a "cursed" mask of calmness. My expressions are very mild. I've been told that even when I'm deeply troubled and in pain I seem to just have a peaceful, yet controlled, athmospere that makes people think I'm stronger than I actually am. It's not that I don't acknowledge my own feelings, or that I'm unable to talk or feel them properly. Sometimes I'm suffering about something that just happened... But it just doesn't show. As Link aptly put, they don't ask if I'm alright. I'm somehow "different" because I "look okay" when things are a mess, and I don't "laugh at silly jokes"... But I'm shaking and giggling inside. To me, all the sad moments I lived through made all the fun and peaceful ones even more precious. I become (internally) emotional with very "small" things (to most people). I feel everything that changes in the air around me. And still, my face is a :| 90% of the time. My brain's rigging is such a mess. This game's writing actually managed to make me cry. I felt like someone out there actually understands there are people like me, that feel and care and love so, so very deeply while being unable most of the time to emote naturally.
Not me crying all over again 😭 This was legendary, Dee! This really shows how much you have fallen in love with this game, the franchise-- the whole STORY -- of BOTW. Thank you for taking us on your journey with you! As this chapter closes, we'll be opening a new one for Age of Calamity tomorrow! I can't wait!
Congratulations, hero of Hyrule. For the people who thinks this journey is over, just remember you, "The sequel of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild is now in development..."
Dee, you're gonna love Age of Calamity, just for the lore ;) Once again, so glad I watched this stream on Twitch, literally a full day of Zelda on its anniversary was amazing
I watched all nine hours of this stream and I’ve watched every Breath of the Wild stream since day one. I have to say: this is the most perfect way to edit this video to capture what that journey was like and what it meant, all the memories and milestones and what that last fight represented. The amount of work and heart put into this is exactly why I’m so proud to be apart of the DeeBeeGeek community. This. Is. Legendary. Here’s to many many more journeys ahead!!
Oh, my goodness! I'm a long time Zelda fan who has played BOTW (and now ToTk) numerous times. I can honestly say, of all the folks streaming their blind playthroughs that I've watched over the last few months, yours is simply the best. I think I can speak for many of us BoTW fans when I say watching others play it blind is a way to chase that feeling of discovering this epic game for the first time. I appreciate that you appreciated (among other things) the richness of the story. It is so strange to me when I hear others complain about the 'lack of story' in BoTW - it is just not the case. Your enthusiasm, humour and determination were a joy to experience. And...the work you did in editing this video with flashbacks and everything was epic. So...thanks for this lovely offering to the world. I'm glad to see there is some video of you doing the Sword Trails..looking forward to that and all your other Zelda content. Who knows...I may even check out some of your stuff on other systems. Cheers, goro.
I found your channel through this series. You had only just started and I decided to watch your streams to keep up with the journey. I've really enjoyed your content, you have a clear passion for gaming that I haven't really seen with other people. ⭐
It is. Seeing a guy that has grown mainly on bro consoles (not that it is a bad thing, there are fucking great games there) getting so freaking invested in this masterpiece the way he did, is like feeling yourself again for the first time what you felt while experiencing the game at first.
I saw that insane amount of effort you put into editing this video and all I can say is I am extremely happy I found this channel and your Twitch channel. Once a quick random search on RUclips for "Botw reactions" now I can be happy to say I'm a part of this community. Love everything ya do you botw pro. Hope we get to see more great adventures as we carry on this great journey. Not just botw but I've grown to enjoy a lot, if not all of your content. Keep doing what you love DeeBeeGeek!
Your character, content, dedication, appreciation, and reaction, was exactly what I would want for a person playing this game to exude. You’re awesome dude! I cried (once again) alongside with you (and I’ve played this game many times lol). You reminded me of my own experience and you connected with us LoZ fans amazingly. I’m a new subscriber! Looking forward to following!
Okay this is a premature comment, but the sudden flashback to the first guardian parry made my eyes misty for some reason. God, what an awesome moment. You have done this game justice! Edit: Yeah, I knew I'd have more to say. They keep coming. Awesome job, man. Edit 2: And with that, you've propelled yourself to be probably my favorite streamer. I'm glad the idea of a first time BotW playthrough in 2020 made me curious enough to give it a watch. Thank you. Edit 3: And from this point, you'll always notice the silent princess flower in the BotW logo.
I was like you, I started my Zelda journey in breath of the wild around the same time as you, so it’s been amazing having someone to play alongside with Here’s to you and many more adventures in the land of hyrule! Also, I love your content, I can’t wait for the age of calamity playthrough, I’ve rewatched your links awakening video 6 times, that’s how good your content is.
You really captured the attitude of Link in the end, I loved it. For a warrior who we never see make a superfluous move or an unncessary action, brandishing the sword and letting it alight with holy power really does feel like a "Fuck you, Pig"
It’s just surprising that this channel went from being a reaction channel to a gaming channel. But still I support this guy because I just love his personality and his pot of view. Everyone needs a friend like you dee bee geek, and I am always with you to support you.
This has been the most emotional ending of all time I've seen in my life. None other youtuber has made this finale so memorable, so passionate, so everything!! The scenes of your adventures while going with Blucas to the castle and while fighting calamity ganon and dark beast ganon, OMG, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS!! I always cry with this ending, but you made it even more emotional. I'm crying for two reasons, this game and toothpain (is 3am btw) but for real, thank for the journey, for the memories, for the memes, for EVERYTHING you have done with this. It makes me so happy and I bet others zelda fans as well, that you have enjoyed this game with all your being. Now to keep enjoying zelda this year with you. I have no regrets to have found you and get across your channel. This place is amazing, you have a wonderful community and so supportive and awesome. I'm glad to be part of it now. Thank you for real. You're great DeeBeeGeek!! *I'm going back to my crying*
Wow, I did not expect to get that emotional. You have really helped me these past few months getting through University and whenever I needed a smile you seemed to be there. I am so proud at how good you became at this game, and just shows the journey you've been on. Congrats Dee Bee, i'll be around for many more to come. And please do play Age of Calamity all the way through. I know you will love it. Cheers from a Canadian lad 🥂And I needed to edit this to put this in: You are a Hero of Hyrule, YOU DID IT!!
This has been a great series. I'm working on my 6th run through BotW now, and it's magical each time. Getting to see it "again for the first time" through your eyes has been special. I would encourage you to revisit the game at some point, and play Master Mode.
Damn time flew by huh. It only feels like yesterday you started your journey on the Great Plateau, cant wait to watch you play Age of Calamity. You will love the game and experience the heart break of BoTW again
"This has been my most emotional stream ever" Wait till Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition makes it happen 👀 Also this has been a journey, great to follow you through it all
I'm so sad it's over but so happy we got to experience it with you. I had tears literally the entire time I watched this. Thanks for bringing us on this journey with you DeeBee!!
@@GalacticStarForge42 He already uploaded it. Look it on his channel.
That’s so special and exciting. :,,3
Agreed watching him become a Zelda fan by playing this for the first time has been absolutely incredible,
Another playthrough I recommend watching is NicoB who had dabbled in a bit of Twilight princess in his youth but had never really played through a Zelda game and because he did it as a let's play instead of a stream he was fully focused on the story and details of the world.
Also his Ad libs for the champions makes his playthrough very unique and highly recommended
Yeah and I hope he plays Twilight Princess

it may sound cliche but Link helps me gather my courage for real life stuff. Honestly wouldnt know where i'd be without these games and Link.
Dragon quest (11 for what I know) tries to replicate this, but not as good as legend of Zelda does.
Silent protagonists don’t always work well, but this was one of the OGs. And it’s cherished for a reason, it really nails immersion and a epic expansive world and engrossing characters and locations

As someone who has beaten Breath of the Wild, you know that empty feeling you get when completing a good game for the first time? This series made me feel like that all over again.
I get that feeling with good movies, books, and video games the first time and if I replay rewatch or reread after a while.

I love hearing you discuss how great the story is in this game. A lot of people knock the story, they act like it’s lacking, but it’s only lacking if you don’t pursue it. The story is there, for anyone who is willing to explore and find it.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Yeah and the people who usually complain about it are the ones who literally 100% the game but not for the fun
Hey, do you think that Tears of the Kingdom is a worthy sequel, both game play and story wise?
@@northproductions6104 2 months late but i personally like the story. gameplay wise it is a step up as well in basically every way. a lot of people hate on totk’s story. i really like it, just not the way it is told throughout the game
@@d00p58 Oh? I was under the impression that _Breath of the Wild_ was the one that a lot of people don't like. Do you have a different perspective? I mean you said something similar about BOTW 2 years ago in your first comment above. Do you still have the same opinion?
I love how the end of this game doesn’t try to kill you with new challenges it just lets you show off and really makes it feel triumphant
And a much more balanced reward than say the fierce deity mask in Majoras Mask...

it's January 6, 2024 and I'm crying watching this.
I started watching this series when it started mainly out of cynicism to see if it was someone who would just harp on about "Man, if only this game were on better hardware." Gear gets these modifiers the further along the game you are and the more enemies you defeat. The Hylian Shield unlocks modifiers very late and most people have gotten it before this point, which is why most don't know it can even have modifiers.
I don't think any shield guard up really matters for this, right? Doesn't 90 already stagger basically everything except against savage lynel crushers?

Oh you had no idea, trust me (speaking from almost 2 weeks from the release of Tears of the Kingdom)

I WAS THERE ALL 8 HOURS AND BOI WAS IT AMAZING!!
THANK U DEEBEE FOR UR CONTENT AND HARDWORK!!

And rumors say that it wont come out until 2022, I dont even care how long it will take since Shigeru Miyamoto once said:

Absolutely AMAZING editing, dude. You really know to make the moments *shine.*
I was like you, I started my Zelda journey in breath of the wild around the same time as you, so it’s been amazing having someone to play alongside with
Here’s to you and many more adventures in the land of hyrule!
Also, I love your content, I can’t wait for the age of calamity playthrough, I’ve rewatched your links awakening video 6 times, that’s how good your content is.
Yo same started in October
Me too.
You really captured the attitude of Link in the end, I loved it. For a warrior who we never see make a superfluous move or an unncessary action, brandishing the sword and letting it alight with holy power really does feel like a "Fuck you, Pig"
I dunno why but these flashbacks from earlier in the playthrough are making me tear up in a nostalgic way 🥺
“The triforce of power! She’s using it!” He says about the weirder of the triforce of wisdom…..to defeat the weirder of the triforce of power.
I love how at one point the chat for the premiere was just saying Zelda TV show memes.
It’s just surprising that this channel went from being a reaction channel to a gaming channel. But still I support this guy because I just love his personality and his pot of view. Everyone needs a friend like you dee bee geek, and I am always with you to support you.
This was probably the best content for video games I’ve ever seen on RUclips. 12 years of RUclips for me. Amazing work! Looking forward to more buddy.
Welp time to rewatch the series again
I’m not ready for your journey to end.... so I went back and started watching from episode 1 lol #indenial
Hey Lad, you made me all emotional again. I feel honoured to have been on this journey with you. 💕🇦🇺
Just know this: Link didn’t save the day, Blucas did
Wow, I did not expect to get that emotional. Cheers from a Canadian lad 🥂And I needed to edit this to put this in:
You are a Hero of Hyrule, YOU DID IT!!
"This has been my most emotional stream ever"
Wait till Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition makes it happen 👀
Also this has been a journey, great to follow you through it all
The stream was in the 35th anniversary, and you uploaded the video in the 4th anniversary of the game, good timing Deebeegeek
I'm so sad it's over but so happy we got to experience it with you. I had tears literally the entire time I watched this. Thanks for bringing us on this journey with you DeeBee!!
It’s so beautiful to see the passion you have for this game, I hope you enjoy the rest of the series
I know you will ;)
