So I learned to drive in Minnesota lived there for years, the best thing I learned was to downshift to slow down it keeps you from breaking as much. As soon as you jam on the breaks the anti locks going to hit and ur spinning. Be careful everyone!!

Thank you!! Really upset me when people say oh well this is nothing like Minnesota etc etc.. your absloutly right we are used to it, prepare, have tons of resources to handle the winters. This is not a state that is used to this type of weather, cut people a break.
Well, this is blizzard weather to us native Texans. This cause for a mandatory stay at home order and everything to be shut down. Lol. But.. I can’t wait for you to experience our summers 😁. My advice, enjoy this “nothing” winter. You will wish for it come June.
I was in Waco Friday and HEB had a line...as in outside the store...people waiting outside for people to leave the store to get in...went to another HEB and it was just as bad..long long lines...no carts in the front...hunted down a cart in parking lot..glad I did get some grocery shopping done, regardless...
I lived in Colorado in the 1990s so I have experience driving on icy, snowy roads. #1 don't drive unless it's an emergency. #2 wait for snowplows to clear roads #3 drive alot slower than speed limit
@@supermananimationsstudios8519 That's true .Ive lived in Texas since 2000 and in all that time can only recall 2 Other occasions when it snowed where I live more than an inch. Even then it quickly melted off the day after

Yes but they also have a ton of resources to handle this. I lived in Minnesota most my life, but we had plows every hours, going through night and morning. That was some terrible driving advice. If you don't have experience in this weather, don't drive. This is Texas, it won't last that long.
Yea the road conditions are just a walk in the park ...I guess that 133 car pile up last week didn’t prove anything to u

The homes in Texas are not built to withstand this type of Winter weather the way they are up north.
