Rectus Erectus far too open in the eyes. Yes, there were some visored barbuta like that, but were barely used. So having a piece down the centre would maximise protection whilst keeping the majority of visibility. The teeth would need to be actual air holes to breath through, else you'll pretty much suffocate. The rest of his armor is fairly decent. Obviously it's a bit too exaggerated in some areas, but overall it's kinda good.
Miyazaki has said this will be the final Dark Souls game. It makes me sad to think there won't be another adventure, another new quest to embark upon, but all things must end, I suppose. But on the vein of finales, I have a challenge for you, Alex Roe. A final sendoff, one final credit. It's a Souls tradition for the song during the credits to be melancholy, to note the struggle of what lead to that moment, and indeed it's sad that perhaps there will be no more Souls. But in commemoration of the greatness of these games, why not give it a grand passing? The Nameless Song, Longing, and the Epilogue, together, as our goodbye to Dark Souls.
Some of you guys requested hearing this with just the orchestra only, I thought it was interesting and felt different enough to actually release. I'm still wondering if I'll release something new before the DLC comes out, still trying to figure out what I might do. But yeah, very psyched for the DLC!
I was about to comment and ask for this. And here it is, already. You're great. And I still haven't gotten over Night of the Hunt. You really found your voice in that one, I feel!
How to enjoy this song to the fullest Step 1. Turn off ingame boss fight music Step 2. Turn on this music the moment you walk through the fog gate. Step 3. Bask in the glory of this remix while feeling like a badass from killing Soul of Cinder.
I was going to suggest this track without the drums and guitar on the last video, as I know you've done it before - Kindle the Soul I believe was one - however refrained from doing so (it felt as though I'd be unnecessarily and impersonally asking you to change your own composition to suit me, despite already thinking it an amazing piece). Well, boy am I glad you did so regardless, because that was beyond amazing. I try my best to keep all my comments to you strictly 'professional' and / or at least sensible, but I must say I really admire and adore your work. You are among my favourite composers.
Thank you, I also appreciate your respect towards my work. I understand the Souls community enjoys music that feels more similar to the series and they want to feel like it connects. Most of the time I just want to write something I enjoy with the songs I like, but this song and Kindle the Soul both felt like complete tracks even without the drums and additional elements so it wasn't really a problem for me to release them again. Sometimes choice is a good thing and if people can enjoy these songs more because it makes them feel more connected to the franchise they love then I don't really have a problem with that.
I feel like the one thing Soul of Cinder really needed was a good cutscene, to really heighten the sense of conclusion and emotion, and to intimidate the player. -Potential spoilers?-- That kind of emotional power is exactly what made the Consumed King fight really nerve raking, especially after hearing about the fact From originally planned to add in the sound of Ocelotte being crushed.
When you enter the boss room, a cutscene plays. We can see the Soul of Cinder, tired. He sees you, look down, and slowly goes up. He puts his two hands on the Serpentine Sword, and retire it. Before going to battle, he looks one last time to the First Flame. And then rushes to you. Sorry for the bad english.
This boss is supposed to be Miyazaki's personal conclusion to the series. If they would have added something like a cutscene, it would have had so much more emotion to it. And maybe play an ambient version of Gwyn's theme during the cutscene. It's exactly what this boss needed.
Fuck Fortress, that was some good cutscene you described, i really imagined the scene this way ! Maybe i'll draw it sometime cause god that was too epic
Liked it, you know the job Alex, you are a real Man. And I will never forgot you. Personally you are creator of my "Epic Musics" youtube list. First song of that list is from you. That Abyss watchers remix. And because of you, I started to make that awesome list and tasted different awesome Musics from different channels, like you, joined this company (that who know what real music is). Thank you thank you thank you thank you 😄
Fucking LOVE this mix dude. Just refound it and I can't believe i didn't add it to a playlist. The vid was already liked though so who knows how long its been
Heyo, first off this is absolutely amazing i love your work, and if your planning on doing anymore, i'd really, really like to see Ocieros the Consumed King. still, keep it up it is amazing.
there should be a 3rd phase for the soul of cinder with the world breaking apart around them but for a more emotional twist he should be struggling to stand in his last efforts to stop you, gives you that "put him out of his miserly feel"
TBH I like this song better than both the original and the in-game one. I love putting this song on whenever I write intense passages. I don't know why, but this may be my absolute favourite song of yours, and it's definitely in my top 5 remixes of all time.
I wish they made him even stronger then he was, and on the second phase he would create a massive explosion of blue fire has his form somewhat now has a cloak made of blue fire as he slashed at with his blade
Do you ever plan on doing a remix of The King of the Storm/Nameless King? After hearing this I'm very intrigued to hear what you would have in store for it.
Attempting to integrate this remix into the Soul of Cinder bossfight, but I'm having trouble finding the appropriate refrain for the first phase. Any advice?
I love the Soul of Cinder's design. The helmet with the teeth on it, it'd make a crazy awesome and intimidating armor design if used in medieval times
Rectus Erectus far too open in the eyes. Yes, there were some visored barbuta like that, but were barely used. What teeth?
@@hydromano6652 he probably is talking about the slits on the visor
Uh... I think that's his actual teeth, bro.
@@vasting9829 SoC is a fusion of various knights warriors etc so that are slits on the visor of an armor that are also his actual theeth.

Good idea, I hope he'll see this :') Thump the above comment up everyone who agrees! :)
Sometimes it's just better to let the flame fade rather than renew the cycle and continue the series.
Cole Lansburry they might release another souls-like game as well... not necessarily a dark souls sequel
b team might be working on dark souls 4
Cole Lansburry Your wish came true.

lets hope that the dlc will have some awesome soundtrack and so far they don't disappoint when it comes to the music of the souls series
it depends on what alex creates
I was about to comment and ask for this. And here it is, already. You're great.

Alex Roe Keep up the AMAZING work! Your music is so good it makes me cry sometimes. (BTW what does E.S. stand for?)
i dunno
you should do a mix of Vordts theme and the Dancers
"Hands of the Pontiff"
I personally think "Eyes of the pontiff" would fit better
i can see what you mean.
Super Schlecht That one was also floating in my mind!
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD YEEEEEEEESS!!! i'm about to pop a bloodclot at how much i need this
more like
"Hands off the Pontiff"
amirite
You never disappoint, Alex
damn right
lol I just wanted to give some people what they wanted, I prefer the one with drums myself :P
me personally fine with either of them
what we need is more people subscribing to this guy
They're both badass and epic
Orchestral - 1st Phase
Orchestral with Metal - 2nd Phase
Orchestral is better
*Plin plin plon intensifies*
Amazing!!
The orchestra version is so good. This version makes me want to listen to it every day.

+Pocholo Pan. It would be cool if I could do that without dying 20 times first.

This is probably one of my favorite songs of yours, ever. The epic Gwyn choir at the beginning gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME
You could almost call this an entirely different song. Bravo.
You never cease to amaze Alex Roe. Cheers for the DLC.
Just stumbled upon this piece while exploring RUclips. You sir have got another sub and fan in me. keep up the amazing work.
Ahh, if only I could be so grossly incandescent as you Alex Roe
So glad this is back.
I thought you were great but then you added two versions of this...
Great couldn't even describe this
Keep dis up!
Dude you gained a new fan , hope I will be spoiled by epicness with your videos forever !
dude your work is a masterpiece
i like the other one better, much more energetic... but this one is amazing! the colors fits well with the direction the song takes
Idk this one is pretty damn amazing and catches that "you are fighting kings" feeling quite well imo.
That's more like it!
Rip status: Prepare to Cry Edition.
The first 25 seconds-ish give me massive Final Fantasy vibes :)
I agree XD
This is so amazing. Probably the best music I have ever heard.
This is fucking amazing, if you have any other tracks with unreleased Orchestra Versions please release them, I need this in my life.
I tried to find a bad song of yours, and I failed
Cosmonautic Sheep You'll hollow before you complete that quest
and not one dislike at this point in time, well done sir, well done.
How could anyone not like this
There are a lot of stupid and or heartless people out there. /sad true joke/
Some people just may not like it as with all things.
I prefer this! Thanks!!!!
Glad you released this version, while the other mix had its charm, this is next level
This sounds like actual boss music
Because the original is boss's music.
This is now my all time favourite you are the best Alex and continue making amazing music
Wow another one. Sir Alex, art thou well. :/
Anyway it's nice that thou reads and listens to comments. :)
