We no longer work for our salvation we walk in our salvation. Glory to our Heavenly Father in Jesus name!

Good playlist. Especially enjoyed the encouragement to read the entire book of Romans in one sitting vs one chapter at a time.

    Christ be with you
    this is a false statement
According to the bible we are justified by faith, not by works.
    the bible never say this
this is what the bible says
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:13)
When St Paul tell us of faith this is what he says
Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. (rom 3:31)
and this is why faith if we keep the Faith we will be justified.
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. (rom 2:13)
    God bless you

Thanks for your comment MrKev, although I wonder if you actually watched the video? If you did I'm not sure you would have posted this comment, perhaps you only read the video's description?

You have fallen into the same confusion as many, MANY, others have my brother! I believe you are referring to James 2:14 which states "What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him?" This is NOT saying that faith is required for salvation, rather it states that if you are truly saved, it will be evident by your works! In other words - You are saved by grace and a change occurs in your life. These changes refine you to a person that WANTS to do works for God. NOT that they are required for salvation. To say that works are required for salvation is saying that Christ failed at the cross and His sacrifice was not enough. It's actually quite blasphemes to say such a thing!
Regarding the passage in Romans 3, you have to take what Paul is saying in context. In every form of communication, context is king! Without context you can get easily confused and misguided as to the true meaning of the passage. Here is the context of the passage:
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
As we can see, Paul states plainly that we are justified by FAITH APART FROM WORKS OF THE LAW. So what does Paul mean when He says we uphold the law? He is saying that we agree with law and try to abide by it. However, our salvation does not depend on our ability to do so. If our salvation could come from the law, then Christ died needlessly, as Paul states latter in Romans.
The entire purpose of the Law was, and is, to point out how desperate each of us is for a Savior, and point us to the Cross of Christ. It's only by faith in what Jesus accomplished on our behalf that we are saved. Nothing we do adds a thing to what He has done, as His work is perfect and complete.
To address Rom 2:13... Do you believe that your righteous acts are acceptable unto salvation to God? Paul tells us that our righteous deeds are as filthy rags (referring to menstrual rags) before the Lord. He also states all over the New Testament that we are saved by Grace through faith, completely separate of works. The Bible cannot contradict itself so what does Roman 2:13 mean?
Like James 2:14, this is also referring to the works we do to show our appreciation and love to God. In the end, this is all our works are good for. They do not add or subtract from our salvation as it's complete in Christ Jesus.
I hope that this has helped you see things a bit clearer. If not, go back and read the book of Romans and the book of Galatians. These two books will set the record straight on how we are saved. Once you know it and accept it in your heart, the truth will set you free!!!

      Christ be with you
sorry you have completely misunderstood scripture.
St James gives the example of Abraham being counted righteous being fulfilled when was on the altar with Issaac.
God tells us the promise will be fulfilled because he obeyed (Gen 22:15-18)
The conditions for its fulfillment keep growing as Abraham's life continued (Gen 26:4-5)
Being saved is different than salvation
In being saved we have our sin forgiven.
Salvation requires from our we live our lives according to Christ teaching so we may receive eternal life (Heb 5:8-9)
To say word are required for salvation is not say Christ work on the cross is not enough It is saying he expects us to abide in him to Love him and that does not come without obedience (John 14:20-24)
Christ work on the Cross did exactly what it was meant to it paid for our sin, that of the whole world but he tells us if we want to go after him into the resurrection, we must pick up our crosses and follow him. (Luke 9:22-24)
What would be blasphemy would be to tell him he is lying, that not necessary at all.
I think you need to read Rom 3 again because you have missed it context.
St Paul speaks of works of the Law bot of good works.
Works of the Law are the ceremonial law of the Jews, things they did to make themselves right again with God when they had broken the Law.
These are Circumcision, Animal sacrifice, cleansing ritual etc...
You will see as he continues into Rom 4 with the examples of Abrahams circumcision and King Davids forgiveness without animal sacrifice,
He is explaining the that the Jews are using the works of the Law to be a payment to be able to sin.
In Rom 3:31 he is saying that by removing works of the Law, we must uphold God Law the law of Christ, our Faith is not alone, the Law must not be overthrown.
I think protestant don't know what faith in Jesus Christ is, it is not simply believing he died for us and rose from the dead.
It is trusting the Son of God to keep his promise of giving the gift of eternal life made possible by his death burial and resurrection to those who repent and obey him.
St Paul did not say our righteous deeds are like dirty rags, that was Isaiah (I do not know where you get menstrual rags from)
Isaish tells it is because we have sinned and continues sinning.
Our righteousness has been cleansed in the blood of Christ. (1 John 1:7-2:2)
Our righteous deeds are now pure like his (1 John 3:7)
You seem to want to explain Rom 2:13 away as not being about salvation but this is its context
For he will render to every man according to his works: *to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;* but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury.
There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, but glory and honor and peace for every one who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek.
      For God shows no partiality.
All who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. (Rom 2:8-13)
St Paul will repeat this message in Galatians
Do not be deceived; *God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.*
For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; *but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.*
*And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.* (Gal 6:7-9)
I think you need to read Romans and Galatians again as you do not seem to have distinguished good works from works of the Law
      God bless you
