I really enjoy the podcast and definitely this episode. I know award discussions can be hard but it is very much appreciated. I do think LeRon has a point about not wanting the same bad guy to keep appearing over and over. However, I think Sephiroth's case is different. This is not rhe same Sephiroth we saw in 1997. His portrayal, the actions he takes, his goals, and his motivations are different this time. Also, I think it is clear why FF7R trilogy could not be one game. So taking points away because he was in Rebirth seems unfair. Additionally, Sephiroth's relationship with Cloud is different than in Remake and there is a narrative reason for it. Last thing: Concord was a good game. It played very well and had some good ideas. Its commercial failure has less to do with it being good or bad and more to do with players wanting to send a message to Sony, poor marketing, and a bit of people lack of desire to try a new shooter.
