I tried this weeks tavern brawl. It's helpful to see what is going on. You should see the new cards for yourselves before crafting.
I was surprised what the paladin mirage can do when drawn early. Ridiculous when you chain the titan turn after turn 😂
i had an opponent that played 7 of the titans in a game. it was crazy lol
Yeah but the tavern brawl isn't exactly meta decks. They have warlock doing the toxic deck instead of snake for obvious reasons. Druid isn't highlander. Priest is just bad.

Honestly the main problem with death knight is the rune restrictions and the deck are fair(no cheatings like top decks) that is why the decks are not competetive. For example if they lower the rune req of cards like corpse explosion and soulstealer to one blood rune, then we talking! All around dk is missing a good board clear.
Yeah, i also feel like syndragosa needs a freeze board spell that isnt locked behind 3 freeze runes non discoverable
Soulstealer is way too strong of a card to let almost every DK deck have access to it.
Dk current problem is the rune restriction and none of the decisions have any agency feels shitty to play imo. If they are going to stick with shitty rune restrictions the limit should be 4 runes so mire variables can happen so u can incorporate 3 cost cards plus another rune
Runes would feel so good if they changed their effects based on your deck's runes, rather than limited their availability. Like, Soulstealer in a 1 blood rune deck dies upon summon and only gives himself as a corpse, 2 runes he sticks around, but to get every corpse from his effect you need a triple blood deck. Sindy could have her 2/1's freeze with a frost rune, her destruction effect proc with a blood, but still be playable in a triple unholy deck as a beefier option of the "summon two other dudes with rush for corpses" effect.
Plagued grain not giving corpses, or summoning/shuffling fewer copies. Frostwyrm's fury not summoning a 5/5. I feel like the design space is massive, and would open up tons of deck building options without having them be homogenized into the best triple rune cards of each type.
Cattle Rustler is really good in Reno paladin because it tutors the highlander legendary and Order in the Court also puts it pretty close to the top. It brings consistency to a pretty fun deck that can have a decent winrate aswell.
Yep, was confused when I saw it played, then when they instantly followed up with the mirate, I was less confused. Cool interaction tbh, and Mirage is in the same club with Rhea as the cool highlander rewards!
Yep, I crafted it just for Paladin, feels so good to coin out on 4. Its basically just an extra chance to draw Spirit
Reno and Elementals Shaman have been feeling very good and very fun
Imagine if they bring back the highlander card from Meanstreets and Uldum for next year's core set
Could tip the balance too far towards the 5 highlander classes as the excavate classes would not benefit.
@@armi999 not really since some of the excavate class have reno cards in the past too and the other excavate decks could also play reno since its actually has enough pay off cards

Getting started with Hearth stone and found your channel and looks like a gold mine of info. Do you have a video on your method of turning cards to dust? do you only dust the cards you dont use or do you dust all cards once they are out of rotation? Thanks for your help!
As a ftp player I'm insanely envious of the insane quantity of cards this guy got, golden included and his almost 340k dust.
I usually scrap as much cards as possible and prefer normal over golden but will dissenchant normal if the golden are like undisenchantable.
My collection is quite empty, I often see many decks or ideas I'd like to try and play and maybe make my own decks but I just don't have the cards to do so which keeps me disinterested in the game, even the idea of wanting to purchase packs to even be able to play is something that I dislike.
And yes, they do have it where they give you free decks or cards but, alongside not being hugely active playing the game, doesn't last long or doesn't help if you wanted to make another more fun seeming (older) deck.
Sorry for the rant.
you can climb to Legend while playing completely free but you have to be kind of hard-headed about it
I came back to the game like 2 months ago, the free returning deck, some of the packs and the new value pack has really filled that hole for me. I always save dust for the future and disenchant the nerfed cards that I don't see myself using. But I've been playing on and off since whispers of the old gods. Rn I have created a few decks including aggro paladin, Reno paladin, Reno dragon druid and sif mage just by cards I have gotten the past 2 months, of course I don't have the exact same deck I'm missing a few cards but it doesn't make a huge impact I can fill those gaps. You should definitely get the catch up packs they're mega worth it
Yeah, the game is pretty unforgiving for F2P.
You CAN make 1-2 competitive meta decks, but that's about it and only if you dump all your resources into them.
Having a large collection and ability to mess around with deckbuilding is basically not a thing for F2P unless you've been playing for a while so you've been able to amass a collection over time and keep on top of things (Even more so if you also play a LOT so you've been getting more gold from the old 10g per 3 wins or the level 100-400 on rewards tracks)
This is an intentional design as it's supposed to coerce people into actually spending money. With the times where it puts people off the game being made up by the whales who'll spend egregious amounts anyway...
I think you can cheat that
By making 2 accounts and you can have catchup packs for gold either free and also 1500 from shop
It'll give you tons of cards plus almost 50 cards cause your collection is not complete
And split your play amongst 2 accounts
Keep in mind that the game is not gonna give cards for the classes you are playing it'll give you cards for other classes
So take advantage of that via the other account
I'm talking out of my experience as I have 2 accounts and got great cards from the new account
That was the way to go for me
So, you're not active and you keep scraping your cards, I bet not wisely... you don't pay a cent and yet you're envious of him lol. Dude, the irony. I got more dust than him and I didn't spend near half of what he have. Eg: Last year I spent 0$. Just be active at the game and learn how to manage your resources. This is the secret to any game on a long term.
So if i crafted mining warlock before it got nerfed, will i be getting a dust refund for some of the cards? if so when will that be?
Any update on the achievements being fixed yet I still can’t get diamond Elise or the coin
Stargaizing maybe good to craft if you want to play otk lightshow mage, Cast on turn 4 on coin or 5 for 10 dmg, or for double rewind and more lightshow.
cattle rustler is insane in classic highlander paladin with neutrals to tutor ur spirit or a light ray with discount

Showdown might be my fav card ever from a Design perspective. As it reads it seems terrible but it has such incredibly creative synergies that its actually viable in standard and can be very powerful in a host very of different oddly specific situations. Thats amazing design and it does so much to show/teach the value of rush minions as well as just general priority advantage in olaying cards and turn order. The team did such an incredible job with this card
Theres currently a really strong secret mage that runs all the excavate cards that I would highly recommend. It annihilates the warlocks by getting as many objections and explosive runes as possible.
Bro.. I matched against one yesterday and it was so annoying they got the luckiest random generated secrets at the best time possible. Really fucked me up
@@tusky3655 might have been me or one of my friends. I haven't seen any others on ladder. I played 12 games on ladder and won 11 in a row. Okani and Reliquary can functionally become bonus objections. And I've been shocked that Hawk has won soo many games. Like any of the Titans are capable of stealing games.

Bandits + some handbuffs like muscletron is pretty nutty if you can pull it off.
I’ve been playing a Reno paladin deck that focuses on playing ogres. The spirit of badlands gives me many opportunities to play ogres. It’s actually a great deck and so much fun. Also have to play that 5 mana card that draws a beast. To make it more consistent

I like [Showdown!] a lot only problem is if you dont have something to back it up can take a sizable chunk out of my turn time planning trades

...sad so say I'm close to your battle pass level...😅 love the expansion, and been trying to complete all the achievements, even ones for cards I do not have. 😅 and its been really fun coming up with ways to do it - for example the warrior excavate reward discovering 8-drops gets the Boomboss somewhat consistently and stick up gets trolley problem for the trams often enough to rely on 😅 also, howdyfin was one that shocked me, I built a Rogue deck designed to be able to run out of cards on command, and just jamming murlocs actually made for super fun games, and I wasn't nearly as helpless as I thought I'd be...you just casually fill the board, it's so funny
So, from a fun aspect, big fan of the card!
I crafted the Elementals and Trusty Companion for my Wild Elemental Shaman. It's fun, gets pretty bonkers if the discounts start to add up, but it's not very reliable.
idk if it's just personal experience but I got the new mage secret out of a pack and started playing it and getting a free copy of a 4+ mana card is pretty good value + makes them play around things in dumb ways.

Azerite Giant is also a guaranteed reward on the free to play rewards track, so even less incentive to craft it.
Hey Sir, there’s a bug with a warlock card, chaos geezer, and it at the end of your turn this car as the card at targets instead of letting your opponent have one turn the play it
Might be worth keeping in mind theres a ton of shaman bots running really terrible aggro lists at the minute that might be pulling trusty companion wr down. Maybe not enough of a consideration to craft it but probably still worth putting in a deck if you are tutoring something relevant.
Wishing Well is a super safe craft if you're on the Tavern Pass, since you'll get the signatures and can just reroll it
still better to be in control of what epic you get, instead of it beging random after hitting the wells in the tavern pass
I love the Reno pure paladin, got into legend with it, even the 4 snake can't stand against a good curve w this deck, plus having multiple anacronos, countess and the titan makes the game unfair for your opponent
The Badlands Bandits is the legendary I got from the packs, and I agree that it kinda sucks, but doesn't ruin the deck so I just keep it because why not

Can you make a video about the really bad and misleading translation of the german cards? For example badlands brawler is translated back in english saying "start a tavern brawl". The 4 mana discard spell says it's a minion and so on.
Wow the German translation is so terrible. I didn't play in German since like during Naxx but now they translate the words deck and gain wrongly somehow.

Ogre Gang is so goofy and fun. One of my favorite decks so far.
I tried a gattlesnake OTK, and it is so bad right now. I won 1 game with though! ... my opponent wasn't playing...
Everyone said showdown was going to be terrible but there’s JUST enough cards in the deck to synergize with it and sometimes when an enemy has a full board it’s just a 2 mana 9/9 worth of stats rush.
It can absolutely still brick in your hand but prisma beam both auras and amitus get you there.
I love that zeddy can afford new shirts now😊
Can any one explain me the card showdown of paladin how it works ? If you play it on a clean board you will trader those 3/3 with your own , but if you play it and you have somme board maybe the other cards Can Do the trader , this IS only play i Can see , if you have other stratigies plz tell me thx .
You usually wanna play it when you're behind on board or when the other person gets less value from it than you. Some combos I have figured out are:
-You fill their board up and kill everything with prismatic beam since it's cost is reduced by how many minions your opponent has.
-You play Crusader aura and your minions get buffed
-You play Deputization Aura and heal for 18 if you trade all of them in
-Liadrin, buff her with Deputization Aura, play showdown and they get divine shield.
These are some combos I've worked with, you can also mix those together and make something even more powerful.

No he is wrong you don't have to capitalize Rush BUT you can because it is a keyword in the game text. In the English version Rush is capitalized. Words you say that don't need capitalize were, Fakt, Card, Says, Attack, Effect.

1. The excavate mechanic is actually a ton of fun tbh.
2. As much as I love the flavor of this expansion, its bogged down by just horribly unbalanced some decks are. Warlock in particular is basically gatekeeping any and all control decks from the upper Ranks and its ridicilous.
Nearly beat an excavate warlock yesterday. Maybe one day I’ll overcome the stupidity.
When you do, you realize you're a part of it. Meta decks are the very definition of stupidity. Winning is the only thing that matter, not how.

If you trade a paladin mirage of a tradeable card, when you redraw and play that card, you get a duplicate mirage

The reason Druid is strong is because the excavate warlock is keeping all control decks out of the meta

It’s really fun to play too when it comes together! I get the impression that my opponents hate playing against it though… 4-5 objections & counterspells each per game has to be aggregating.

Tbh cards are good i like them, Spirit and Catastrophe is rly fun to play and Reno hero is broken AF, FULL enemy board clear ALL CARD AND PORTALS (druid counter 100% and Sargeras removal).
How blizz devs fuck over warrior... Give them a card called MISFIRE, but don't label it as a fire spell.

Dragon druid archetypes are rather strong in wild, but not due to Dragon Golem, I can safely say that much.
I only faced one purely dragon buff deck with my Reno Dragon version, he could not stand a chance due to the infinite value that Reno druid can generate (especially after Aligment)

THIS IS FOR ROGUE MAIN, craft the new reno (Worst case you get 1600 dust) and wait for the mini set (rogue havent got his highlander cards yet, maybe she will ? Who know) and if you play wild and havent crafted zephris and reno jacson, Just do it bro same for loatheb and maybe kingsbane + the pirate package.

The fact that the excavate package for dk requires frost runes is bullshit, they thought It may be too much OP but, azerite Snake exists
The fact that Azerite Rat is garbage because DK doesn't have any good targets to revive is the biggest issue with Excavate. All it has is Reska. Which isn't even a pro-active play...
well, dk will eventually get better cards to resurrect, i don't think they will ever beat primus as a resurrect target but since they probably switch rune next expansion it's tricky to say, they could even decide to remove some rune requisites like it happened to plagues
So many of the classes in this expansion desperately need buffs, and I know they're just not going to get them. Priest NEEDS buffs to at least some of the non undead, non control cards. It's baffling that they would release multiple new archetypes for the class that are just woefully underpowered compared to the other things being added. I fear that all they will do is nerf the problem cards and leave the weak ones out to die.
Must Craft = Safe Craft?
Rhaestraza should be a Neutral legendary. It's incredible value only for a druid that is always receiving ridiculous stuff..

Buy literally every single bundle that is ever released. Don't craft anything because you don't need to when you have every card and 500+ packs spare. Only dust extra copies when things get nerfed so you get max value.
He literally lives in this game so it's easy-cheesee thing for him

I got 200k of dust, and more like 180 k if I press mass disenchant. You just need to be old in the game and do not spend your dust like an idiot... When I did buy something it was a pre release every 2 expansions and after like 4 years in the game. When they increase price I stopped paying for tracks.
Also Blizzard is nerfing so many cards I got like 30 k dust last mega nerf, it's easy to get that amount if you got a bit of self control and patience. Currently spent 0$ since 1 year at the game and gonna continue to do so.

What polarizing set. You’re either cracked or suck ass: there is no in between.
Tram Heist is a pretty broken card in priest if you ask me, just steal any other classes exclusive highlander legendary without any risk or effort at all, guaranteed every time. I really hate how blatant and disgusting Blizzard has made these steal priest cards. Before it used to be up to chance, now they just powercrept thoughtsteal and it's auto included in every one of their decks, discover a card in your opponents hand, and deck, so they can literally see 6 of your cards and always pick the best ones? I don't get it, copying your opponents card shouldn't be so fucking easy, it used to be a gamble, now it's a guarantee meanwhile they just gave it to Rogue with 'random card from your opponents class.'

Most of the priest cards need buffs you could probably take a mana or 2 off each and it might still not even be enough. Hopefully we get buffs soon

I just came here to say NERF DRUID.
I believe that priest has all negative win rates because priest has always required a good understanding of the meta and game. Majority of the players aren’t capable of effectively managing control priest. Same as control shaman.
Personally, absolutely loving ogre priest.
It also doesn’t help that naga DH is one of the most OP decks we have ever seen and makes control decks impossible to play. But hey, let’s cry about a snake that takes about 10-12 turns to kill you instead of a t4 OTK deck lol….gotta love the hard stuck D5 players haha
Nice level 52 already. With the nerf to merc xp, im no longer able to grind all day. Any other suggestion that is a good replacement for xp besides having to play ladder all day?
BGs in a window on desktop I guess. Gotta click about every 10 min so you're not "afk" though

I think they'd rather just wait until March when rotation happens to be honest. Since then it'd just be Festival + Titans + Badlands in Standard.
