Am a woman who's nearly sixty years old, I've never seen anything like this before, absolutely fabulous, my husband has lost weight and needs 3 pairs of jeans, not anymore I've just turned the three pairs in and saved myself a £100 big big thanks
Allow me to say this is the quickest and easiest sewing hack for tucking jeans I've done😭🔥. I was skeptical at first that the thread pulling wasn't gonna work. But y'all this ish is cleannn😭🔥❤️
@@kai_rit okay so I took a regular thread but I cuted the same length like 5 times and added them all together and started sewing 😭 (sorry for my English)
Very great tips, especially the first two. For anyone thinking about doing this i will however make a fair warning to the comfort and looks, especially for the last one. When creating folds like these without actually removing material the bundled up material can be really itchy and especially with harder heavyweight denim it can really dig into your waist. For some this may not be an issue but I personally had to remove the tuck from the back. Furthermore the tuck in the back significantly alters the yoke of the jeans and can in some cases cause it to bulge out creating a very unpleasant silhouette. Thus I would personally recommend trying either method 1 or 2 at first and seeing if you really need to tuck it at the back as it creates the most issues. But just try it for yourself if you don't end up liking it it's really just 1 thread to remove. Nice video!
So I just tried method #3 with these super high rise jeans I have that I never wear since the waistband gapes open so much - to remove bulk I took off the label tag inside the band and the center belt loop. It worked so well, I am amazed! Now my waistband doesn't gape open, and my pants look so much more tailored to my body! Thanks for this cool tutorial 😊
Wow, I'm so happy to hear that method #3 worked for you and helped tailor your jeans to your body! Removing the label tag and belt loop is a great idea to reduce bulk and create a smoother fit. Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback!
@@melissahaslett hey there! I actually tore out my stitching and re-did it this morning. The first method in the video makes a much better fit (except i did it on the sides of the back instead of the sides of the front since that interferes with the small front pocket) and highly recommend this version over what i did in my original comment! Taking it in from the back seam (method 3) creates a small but noticeable poof of fabric at the bottom of the triangle. Taking it in from the sides doesn't create this problem. Good luck!
It works, I would recommend if you’re fixing the back, to have the thread go do down a bit more, but it also depends on how loose the pants are but it definitely works
omg i just did the first method on my skinny jeans and now i fita perfectlyyyy!!! it also gives an illusion of a tiny waist beacuse of the thread placement

There is a God lol. I can’t find jeans with my measurements and my hips are ginormous but my waist area always has this extra kangaroo pocket that makes me appear 40 pounds heavier
I tried the first method and it works but there’s the remaining flap of the jeans fabric inside and it’s quite obvious! And also the thread keeps undoing itself or like untightening, Is there anyway to fix this because it really does work!! Thanks!
Thank you so much, does method one works for not jeans material, ( polyester skirt) ? and can i use the same embroidery thread with the polyester material without damaging?
I used this and worked at first but when i put jeans under bit of strain because of work the jeans ripped and causes a hole. Can you give me any advice please?

When you do the ladder stitch the fabric sucks in, so what do you do with the fabric that goes inside?
maybe sow the extra part a bit into the fabric with some extra thread
What type of string you guys use? I can use any string or thread around the house?
Embroidary thread is recommeneded. However any thread would work.
What do you do with the excess Jean material folded on the inside? Do you cut that out or just leave it? Thank you for your excellent tutorial.

You can leave it there and just knot the extra part inside if it's uncomfortable.
