Now for the program no 2 which is of 12 months in duration he is wishing to start as in may intake of 2021 ( ie around 130 days post completion of last program which ended on December 31 2020 ) Will he still be able to combine these two programs and be eligible for a 3 years of pgwp ? or the 2nd program needs to started asap ie jan 2021 intake ? Hi there love you videos can you make one about how you found a job and was it easy to get a job with your canadian certificate without experience in this field ??! Last question to apply for PR does the employer need to sponsor me or just regular job offer ??!

    • @studyliveexploreca
      @studyliveexploreca  4 года назад

      Hi, I am happy you like my videos 😀
      I might make a video on that at a later point, for now I wanna focus on studying.
      I would not say it was easy, I sent out a lot of applications, yes my Canadian diploma definitely helped, but you just need to have a strong resume and keep applying and trying and you will find something.
      Some provincial immigration programs involve some sort of sponsorship from the employer, but not all. The Federal programs are usually not like that but still want to see your job skill, experience, job offer letter etc.

    • @studyliveexploreca
      @studyliveexploreca  4 года назад +1

      Hello - thats why in cic website it says "UP TO" because some people get less than 3 yrs, but for me as long as you followed the rules as a student for example not exceeding 20 work hrs per week, and if you are enrolled as fulltime student, and you are in DLI school and i dont see any problem getting denied for 3yr pgwp, but it is still the IRCC descretion.

    Hello,
    There's a two-year academic diploma I'm interested in. It is a full time program from a DLI college that spans for 4 terms (16 months), from January 2021 to April 2022, as there isn't a summer break scheduled. Is a diploma like this one considered as a two-year program? Does this term arrangement (no summer break) affect the length of a future Post-graduation Work Permit? As far as I know, a two-year diploma graduate may be eligible for a three-year PGWP. However, I'm not sure if these two years are considered in chronological terms, or academic terms/semesters.
    I would really apreciate your guidance and help!
    Best regards

    • @studyliveexploreca

      Hi,
      I applied a few days after I was done studying, but still allowed to stay in the Country on the study permit. Then I applied for my PGWP.
      Once you applied you can start working, its called implied status.
      You can explain that in your job application or rather in the interview so they know you will be allowed to work for them.
      Check the CIC website for details

      Hi,
      your student visa is usually valid a few weeks after you graduated.
      Once you graduated and received your transcript you can apply for the PGWP which will allow you to work and stay in Canada at least until there is a decision on the PGWP(implied status)
      Check details on the CIC website

    Hi, It’s a great video with clear explanation. I am planning to enrol for 8 months graduate certificate. If I get a PGWP for 8 months and a job offer, would it possible to process PR with that job offer? Or LMIA required to get points for job offer ?

    • @studyliveexploreca
      @studyliveexploreca  3 года назад +1

      Hi, glad that it was helpful😀
      It basically depends on your immigration program and your details. Yes a job offer usually gives some points. LMIA probably gives a few more points.
      You can apply for Express Entry at any time, just a matter of how many points you already have and what the threshold is.

I know that the student has to land a job under NOC 0,A,B and get 3 payslip first before the spouse can apply for an extension. Am I right? Hello Carlo, yes you cannot work during teh 180 days grace period, that's why if you have to do something like vacation or review for licensing exam this is the best time to do it, if you are planning to continue working after the completion of the program, apply for PGWP right away to obtain the implied status, see below link ref from cic website: www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1472&top=15

      Yes, but if you want to work right after Graduation however, you should apply right after you get your grades and you are allowed to work right away and while your application is being processed.
      Yes your PGWP will end sooner that way but not every wants to, or can afford not to work in the meantime. It does not affect the length of the PGWP itself, just starts and ends at a different time.
      That’s how it was when I did it last year. Of course always verify it on the CIC website.
