    Jack shouldn't go to jail and should be known as hero. Not many doctors would help end patients suffering but they are happy to sell their medicines to earn profits. We need more doctors like Jack.

    More compassion in his pinky finger than most people possess in their entire being. Dr K was a beautiful soul who remained steadfast and unashamed of relieving the suffering of patients in need. God Bless him ❤️ RIP Doctor K

    Correction: It is more probable that Kevorkian's suicide machine refers to the Mercitron/Thanatron, not his van. Also, it is unfair to show the van in the state it was in the photos of this video as it was reported that at the time of Adkin's death, it was cleaned and actually quite nice (at the very least, effort was put in).

    • @tierefuerimmer9635
      @tierefuerimmer9635 9 месяцев назад

      @ihikebc2295 He never sent his patients straight to hell. He was ending their hell with their permission, had asked them several times if they were really willing to be euthanized and gave them a set date, and therefore more time to consider their choice. In fact a patient who was choking on his own saliva bc of severe Lou Gehrig's disease and had at first set up a date where he would set up to be euthanized by Kevorkian in a week, even after Kevorkian had asked him if he sure that he wanted this. And Kevorkian got a call from the patient's family one day and said he wanted euthanasia ASAP so he did it . Hell the patient's family was actually grateful bc they saw in how pain he was in and they said that Kevorkian ended it. And also I'm a Christian and I don't think human euthanasia in the case of a terminal illness is wrong or the same as murder, as with murder you are unjustly taking someone's life from them. With the case of Kevorkian and his patients, they were in extreme pain and they asked to be put to sleep and I find it extremely ironic that ppl on religious grounds are talking like they're morally superior yet they propose to prolong someone's suffering even after their loved ones discover they have a terminal illness. I believe in God and I think he definitely would understand this as it's not for the purpose of taking a life,it's for ending suffering. What's more humane? Having someone deteriorate in agonizing pain from a terminal illness within several months or years? Or have them choose an option where they basically get to fall asleep once they feel the pain is too great?

    Strange how when we have a beloved pet that is Ill and suffering we get them put down to "put them out of their misery"
    But a human loved one we watch them gasp, scream, cry and beg and do nothing.
    Odd species, considering we murder each other in our millions but won't do this.
    Our hypocrisy holds no bounds.

    I really love researching Jack Kavorkian!! What he did was so interesting!!! I'd like to know more about the euthanasia medication administration machine. I think so much effort goes into prolonging life, when we should be accepting death earlier. TRUST ME!!! I've seen some sickening thigs that could have been prevented if life had not been prolonged! We're keeping people on ventilators, putting them on dialysis, and often, It's even after they stated they don't want all that. I saw that a few nights ago. My uncle was in ICU, and coded, and they resuscitated him, even though he had a DNR, and the thing was until the next morning, they didn't know about the DNR. That should have been avoided. They should have known about that DNR. If somebody does not want to be resuscitated, THEY SHOULD NOT BE RESUSCITATED. If they want to be assisted into death, THIS SHOULD BE LEGAL!!! They shouldn't have to suffer with a serious condition such as ALS!!! Now if they want to be on a ventilator, connected to ECMO, and Dialysis, and put on Norepinephrine if their blood pressure is not stable, then BY ALL MEANS, that wish should be honored. But if they want to die, then they should have the right to die, with dignity!

    It's sad how he's treated as a bad guy being that he was compassionate and helped end suffering I had a stroke when I was 30 in 2014 my life has been a living hell ever since I wish someone like him would come to me and help me move on from this life since there is no quality of life left I can;t even fully control my bladder and bowels I don't don't to live another half century in this hell nor do I want to nor can I afford to go to Switzerland and pay dignitas over six thousand dollars just to die legally.

    I consider this man a hero and he DID achieve what he wanted although he was severley punished for it by the "law". Jacks actions caused the drastic change to hospice ( if you can afford hospice) to change. So what's left for the rest, the poor where their insurance won't pay for hospice. I personally don't want to die in a hospital surrounding. Our medical system much like our legal systems are a much compromised institutes of business and both entities don't want to lose their power. Both entities are hypocrites. Jack had the rare courage to talk the talk and walk the walk. How utterly sad and shameful that once again a progressive helpful person is victimized by our institutions. God Bless Doctor JAck Kevorkian...a true Doctor and humanitarian.

    • @tierefuerimmer9635

      Agreed! And I think it's extremely hypocritical how Kevorkian is sometimes treated like he's a Nazi yet he ended people's suffering and he said himself that the goal was not to end a life but to take away patients' suffering. Plus as an animal lover, I've witnessed two of my dogs being put down because they were in extreme pain. Was it fun or enjoyable? No absolutely not and I wish there was another choice but it was either be euthanized or be in agonizing pain and the same thing applies to human patients.

    Individual decision is separate from groupthink. Nobody can understand someone else without comparison in regards to the selfishand. YOU as a member of humanity have the responsibility to see that this reality is non consentual. No one chooses to be born/rejected/sick. Self termination is a realistic option; assisted or not.

      And letting someone suffer in pain from terminal illness for several years to several months is more humane as opposed to making them fall asleep? If that's the case, then vets must be pure evil for putting down pets instead of letting them suffer for several months. Species differences aside, pets are considered family and it's for the same reason of ending suffering, not killing in cold blood . And if that's cruel then might as well as ban DNR.

      The only demonic thing here is coming up with excuses why a person should endure a life of unnecessary suffering. That is torture. That is hell

    • @ihikebc2295
      @ihikebc2295 Год назад

      @@pitmclord here is the problem - a belief that suffering is "unnecessary." Whereas, from Christian perspective, suffering in this life allows us to come to a realization of the need to repent, in order to avoid being held accountable for our sins in afterlife, and to atone for our sins with a bit of suffering (compared to eternal suffering in hell any suffering in this life is minor, even when it does not seem so little). And so what happens is - "well-meaning" people, while stopping temporary suffering in this life by offering euthanasia, send people directly to hell where they suffer eternally and scream like mad at those who "kindly" replaced temporary minor (relatively speaking) pain with permanent horrible pain in hell.

    • @pitmclord
      @pitmclord Год назад

      @@ihikebc2295 You’re allowing some hypothetical future scenario that may or may not be true dictate your decisions in the moment. The fear of this future hell controls your mind and actions now. It’s the root cause of any mistake here. Ideally you would be able to entertain all options in your situation then arrive at the best answer you can come up with. The thing that stops people from doing this would be some kind of mental/emotional pain associated with a perspective that you’re unable to work through.
      When you have this unprocessed emotional trauma in the mind you can’t actually think properly on the subject. Until you eventually work through it. It happens to everyone here. The environment seems to be infested with this trauma that gets passed on generation to generation. Maybe it comes from your culture, peers, parents, the physical body, or even a religious ideology. Just watch out for fear based control and you’ll be good.

    • @ihikebc2295
      @ihikebc2295 Год назад

      @@pitmclord fair enough, I do not insist on my version of what happens after death being correct. I believe what I believe, and you and others have free will to believe anything you want. That said, what if you are wrong, and we are bringing much more horrible (and eternal, to boot) pain to people while trying to be compassionate and eliminate temporary pain? What do you think you would feel if that turns out to be true, which you will find out upon your death?

    • @pitmclord
      @pitmclord Год назад

      @@ihikebc2295 I could ask that question to you as well. What if you are wrong? Then, if you were in a situation similar to the people in the video, you would unnecessarily keep yourself or a loved one in a state of torture. Guaranteeing the hellish experience out of fear of some future hell. That tends to be the ironic punishment of acting out of fear. You create the very experience you were trying to avoid.
      The way I treat any hypothetical is I weight it accordingly. The more hypothetical it is then the lower I weight it. I don’t come up with actual numbers but that is my state of mind when trying to discern the best course of action. A loved one in front of me in in pain with no hope of recovery asking to die has more substance behind it than a future environment of eternal torture after death. I’m personally witnessing their hell and if I can do anything about it then I will help them end it. If a punishment awaits them or me after death for that decision then so be it.
