Maaaaaaaaaassssiivvee respect for David and his culinary journey, his family is amazing , he is amazing ..it makes me emotional and happy to watch them.
People primarily (read: NOT ENTIRELY) dislike him because he saved himself from a pressure test. Don’t get mad at that, people. Who cares about honor if it gets you further in the competition?
The problem with Dale is, he was so gladly to save himself but he's also saved Danny, the only member on his team who didn't go to the challenge because he was sick at the time. Why would he chose someone who's sick instead of the strong cook? That's just stupid. He just wants drama. Hence in the next challenge, the Canape challenge, the judges asked the opposite team to choose 2 of the members that deserved to be safe even though Danielle as team captain wanted to sacrifice herself to be in Pressure Tests. In later seasons, most of the team captains like Line in Season 2, Matthew in Season 3, Miranda in Season 4 took a lot of considerations to choose themselves or other team and all of them feel guilty about it when they choose themselves. The decision is hard but hey, it's a competition after all.
@@masantonio8790 I'm not mad at him because of that. I mad about how he acted in the first team challenge. He was horrible to Kayla, sank his team on fish and then claimed no responsibility. I know that saving yourself is the smart thing to do but you can at least say that it was your fault. Line did that in her pressure test, she saved herself but said that she let her team down and left them to losing.

These chefs should join forces, come together maybe for Christmas, or Thanks-giving, and put their skills together for one heck of a good meal, maybe donate some of the proceeds to charity? I'd love to see contestants from different seasons compete as a group! Maybe do the 12 days of Christmas, and have the judges declare the winning team? Would anyone else spend a week's salary to try that meal?
Debbie's crab cakes looked so good when I first saw them that I made some canned tuna cakes! They actually tasted pretty good but I'm sure they were nowhere near as good as hers.

Dale had some really good dishes like his smelts and burger but he was really inconsistent.
