All my moment lenses are slightly blurry on my pixel 2xl😓. How is the clarity of shots taken on the 6 Pro with the lenses compared to no lenses?

I’ve been seriously impressed with the 4x lens. I find myself using that lens for portrait photography rather than “Portrait Mode”.

I love the naturally shallow depth of field the main camera and 4x have. Hopefully the next Pixel will have a 35mm equivalent focal length and a wider aperture for even better bokeh and compression from the main camera. An 85mm equivalent camera with a big sensor ,laser autofocus, and a wider aperture than the 4x would be cool too. As for ultrawide...they need to upgrade the sensor and give it autofocus.
Refreshing to see this different format, and the shots where you have the camera rolling while switching lenses were uber helpful. Thanks!

Dude I'm so happy you made this video. I got the moment anamorphic lens for my pixel for it and I've absolutely loved it but felt like my pixel 4 was kind of lacking I'm waiting for my Pixel 6 pro to come in and start testing out the camera

Awesome job, Brandon! Also, very nice bounce back from the broken pixel 6 pro screen - tbh, this is one of the nicest demonstrations of the Pixel 6 pro. I think you are hitting a niche of using phones in nature and/or day to day living and how it functions. Functional demos if you will :) For example, your channel is the only channel where I've seen the bluetooth audio in demonstration and I thank you for that, I am looking forward to testing the Pixel 6 when I come back from Colombia (vacation not cartel work)
I think more people want to know how the phone will function in everyday life as opposed to a review with pros and cons.
P.S. saw you on that Amazon stream the other day with you going over gear you use and a demo of your video editing, I learned a thing or two - thank you kind sir!
P.S.S. When I get back from Colombia, I will test the Pixel 6 Camera bar and inspect it heavily, I have a suspicion the cameras are housed in a psuedo prism, my hunch is all that glass in the camera bar is causing more light refraction, and that's the reason for prominent lens flare when light hits the camera bar. When you were recording in lit areas but not "Bright" the camera looked phenomenal. On a side note, I am disappointed about the Pixel 6 front facing, from the phone I tested in best buy, my pixel 3 front facing looked 6 times better and I'm already seeing comments that people say the Pixel 6 front facing cam looks like trash on video calls - that is quite the mistake with most everyone doing more video calls in the past 2 years than probably in their entire lives.

Oh, nice! I use a lot of Sony and Blackmagic stuff. I used to work in live productions, so I often used a lot of their stuff and it carried over to the youtube stuff!

On a side note, the video quality isn’t great on the Pixels. HDR is suffering with a lot of blown out shadows and some loss of detail in the background.

I have the moment fish eye for pixel 3. I njoy using it specially indoors. Glad to know it'll work if I upgrade to pix 6. So if we used 58mm moment lense with 2x zoom of pix 6, we get an effective zoom of 4x? How would it perform compared to pixel 6pro 4x zoom? If it performs similarly, I would see no reason to buy pixel 6 pro then.
Nice!! It can be used with the zoom, but you lose quality. It's better than nothing but I'd much rather have the dedicated telephoto lens.
Yeah, good question! I have Moment 58mm Zoom lens and so I'm wondering if the Pixel 6 Pro is worth it for me over the regular. I mean, at least you wouldn't have to carry an extra lens? Not sure that's worth $300. I did hear on a review video that Google does some neat image processing to sharpen the digital zoom on the Pro's zoom lens once you go past 4x, I wonder if they also do that on the Pixel 6's regular sensor once you zoom past 2x.
@@danielspencer1923 For me the 300$ price difference is a bit of stretch as I'm looking to also build a pc and get a nice ryzen 9 or i9 laptop this year. In either case, if you get the Pro, with the moment 58mm lens you have 8x zoom :). Definitely better than digial. But I'm guessing we're sacrificing the google processing esp now with this 50 megapixel sensor there is lot more room for details extraction from digital zoom via google processing so it can't take advantage of that.
@@ThisIsTechToday Yea that is true. Honestly my only need for zoom would be to use it for portraits for natural bokeh instead of the fake bokeh.
@@krazzyDiamond but the moment lens only fits on the main lens of the pro, right? So I think it's 4x, not 8x. Anyhow, I could spend the $300 but I'm not sure how much I'd use the tele lens, I just like the option of having it built in. And I don't like how big the pro is or its curved edges. The regular pixel is already much bigger than the Pixel 3 I've had for 3 years, which I love for its front-firing speakers and manageable size.

I have a Pixel 6 pro as well but the camera doesn't connect with an external Rode wireless GO connected through a mini pl to usb-c. How did you get your external microphone to work? What android and Camera versions are you using?

Video is WAY better now than previous pixels, but it's so grainy when you're inside without good lighting and the flaring is so intense once you got lights and the sun in the scene 👀
Yeah, the low light is hard to deal with, for sure. Still a "small sensor" problem. Sony cameras finally cracked it in the past few years, but those are full size sensors. Hard to find that in a smartphone.

When it comes to the "small sensors" issue, the S21 Ultra is just a hair bigger but in low light it is way less grainy, do you think it is something that they can fix with software updates ?

Gratitude, so true. Even the fact that one of our _problems_ is that the video quality on the Pixel is still not as good as the iphone.

Be honest lol. Did you have to crop in to not get vignetting? Holding my wide angle and telephoto moment lenses up tight to the lens of my pixel 6 I get pretty dark corners all around. I'm guessing it's the larger sensor. I don't have the anamorphic.
I didn't edit anything other than traditional edit cuts to construct the video, the exposure for the anamorphic lens, and balancing the audio to a relatively equal perceptible volume. Everything else is raw.
Thanks for sharing this! The onboard mic actually sounds good! I usually hook up my Shure MV51 to my phone for FB Lives but I'll try without it one time.
I haven't fully utilized and explored my Pixel 6 Pro yet but this gives me an idea of what it's capable of. I have the Moment Superfish lens that I used with my OnePlus 6T. I mainly used it for dance videos and capturing the scale of live events. I don't have the Moment case for the Pixel yet but I'm excited to get one along with the anamorphic and 18mm!
Is using moment telephoto lens as good as 6pros built tele lens. I love telephoto lens but I don't like the size of 6 pro. Thinking of just getting 6 and use externel tele when I need to.

i think moment really need to upgrade their 58mm tele lens, there are such a bad chromatic aberration and the footage also looks really soft and not sharp to me
With the telephoto as the macro you just need to get close enough to trigger it. Gets closer than the iphones wide

I have the OG Pixel buds 2 and love them. Just got one of the free sets today for the new series A. If they are anything like the OG version you will like them. Im sad they discontinued the others and then kinda downgraded. But there also are rumors of Pixel Buds Pro coming out early next year along side the Pixel Fold or very near together. So we will see.

You got two Pixel 6 pros and I ordered mine the day it came out and I don't even have a date on when I'll get mine. It went from October 28th to November 9th to now no date given at all. :(

The video quality was superb, maybe extreme colors but I don't hate it. It a leap frog for the Pixel with videography.
I think once Google keep these lens around and get used to it, it will get so good!

When movement gets a bit fast, you can see patches or blocking artefacts in parts of the video, which goes to show that Pixels still don't do video great if they can't handle fast moving objects properly.
I like the microphone better than the sound of the buds
