    Gavin FreedomLover, you have too much runout on your parts. Either not concentric or tilted on the plane of rotation.
    You can stop bearing races spinning with an appropriate adhesive like Loctite of the appropriate type. But I think you have too much slop between shaft and bearing race. Better to make each component with minimal tolerance or in the case of close coupled parts you are better to have interference fits or lap the parts to get them to fit. Until then happy tinkering

      yes mate it ended up too loose I abandonded the project and now have a way better turbine, cheers.

    OOPS!!!! BRAIN FART!!! What I typed above doesn't matter; since, the stators are stationary... I started to just delete this; but, since it might prove relevant in some other context, I guess I'll leave it...
    5:30 'ish: If you're still having out-of balance problems, you might want to make sure that you have an equal length on both sides of all your connecting rods. Even a tiny bit of excess weight can throw any rapidly spinning object out-of-balance... Think about why the tires on your car need to be balanced...
    7:45: I'd even try to clean up that weld mis-strike on the support leg. The differences at the hub shouldn't make too much of an out-of-balance; but, the further you go out from the hub, the large of an issue any weight differentials become. By 11:13 given all of the mis-strikes & spatter, I'm REALLY hoping that you do a really good job of cleaning those up! (Not from a cosmetic standpoint; but, from a balancing standpoint...)

    Hey man good job, now set up for pelton wheel, water power smart drive? Can i get smart drive part # s for 120volt ac ?

      yes these motors are no good for wind turbines it needs to be in hydro with a 10m high inlet , cheers.

    What are the diameters of the stator and rotor assemblies?

      The rotors are about 300mm and the stators about 280 ish , They are in my shed and it's poiuring down with rain and I'd get wet going out therr :)

    What is your final output with the double stator? And at what RPM?

      It maxed out at about 400 watts even using two stators which is why I started using an ebike motor

      I welded it fine at the start but then messed up trying to re weld it.
