    Gavins Windpower Workshop , interesting build , its a bit of work but better than wasting life in front of a tele , thats how ive always looked at things.

      @@GavinFreedomLover you definitely live in a nice windy location, its crazy windy here today , you only have to travell 500 meters and its farm land zero trees anywhere and real good turbine territory , i used to bolt turbines to a trailer and park out in the open plains to see if the turbines i bought were accurately rated.

    Hi the important parameter is the number of turns on each coil. more important if the stators are connected in parallel electrically less so if in series.
    You can try to stagger the coils between the stators to reduce cogging distance/Arc.

      rounding the lamination edges with a file do the same , and or twisting them on a very slight angle, pretty hard to do on the ones i had

    You can stagger the coils between the 2 stators to reduce the cogging distance/Arc.

      Thanks for the info mate , I don't think the cogging is enough to slow the blades that I have , I need to get the re-wire right so that it can spin up to the correct voltage first.

    May want to cover the coils when welding. 1 spatter ball could melt the enamel.

    It is not necessary to make a winding with thicker AWG wire just divide like 36 coils in two generators of 18 coils and connect to Delta ... doing this will reduce the voltage by 26 to 30v amperage can reach more than 10 amps -----(Não é necessário fazer um enrolamento com fio AWG mais grosso é só dividir como 36 bobinas em dois geradores de 18 bobinas e ligar na Delta ... fazendo isso vai reduzir a voltagem em torno de 26 a 30v amperagem pode chegar a mais de 10 amperes)

    how many turn coil for 1 tooth ?

      Each finger of the stator has approx 80 turns of .8mm wire or approx 100 turns for the .6mm wire.
